Amazing pizza, good cheesesteak, and bad service. We ordered the grandma pizza and a cheesesteak. Cheesesteak was gigantic but didn't have much flavor to it. The pizza was really great. Accidentally ordered from here instead of the Frank's Trattoria (thanks, Internet) that's closer to my parents place. What a serendipitous mistake! Sure, it may be a few miles out of the way if you're on the north side of Rt 80, but damn this is good stuff. Got a plain pie and a chicken parm - both were some of the best I've had. Normally I order a couple of toppings on my pizza, but today I was just feeling a classic plain pie, and am so glad I did - it allowed the natural flavors to shine through so well. Embarrassing pizza and customer service My family and I called for 3 pizzas one night and we were told it'd be about an hour. We let that slide only because it was around 5 o'clock on a Saturday but still it was a long wait. An hour later the delivery guy came with only 1 PIZZA which with toppings we didn't order. We called back to complain and they said that we received our order when we never did. UPDATE April 2018: We have been patronizing Franks Pizza for probably almost 20 years. We always loved Franks standard cheese or mushroom (fresh) or pepperoni, as there was always ample quality sauce (which was one thing we loved about their pizza). Then, for a good period of time (while Anthony was in Italy) Franks started using canned mushrooms and that was a HUGE let down. The portions of the side salads also shrunk. So, we opted to go elsewhere. Why pay the same price for lesser quality? Then, coincidentally, after Anthony's return, fresh mushrooms again. We also used to love their Pizza Scampi. Originally it was made with the red sauce, cheese and then added shrimp, garlic - which was tasty. Now, they removed the red sauce and just use butter and garlic. Still, when you're used to one thing and they change it - it's a bit odd and it was never changed on their menu. The same jumbo shrimp they ALWAYS use in their seafood dishes, would be used on their Pizza Scampi (cut up). Now, one visit, someone decided to use these microscopic baby shrimp - about a 1/2 inch diameter. Not only was the taste lower quality, but this 'specialty pizza' is not cheap. And when you EXPECT to continue to get the larger, better quality shrimp they normally use, but get sub-quality sea horses, it's a real turn off and we feel ripped off. I've also noticed there is less red sauce added to their pies - maybe they felt that was a good decision, maybe it's the staff, I don't know, but why change a GOOD thing? Sadly, they are so unreliable and since their original pizza recipe has changed, its such a disappointment. Your pizza used to be great. Weighty, thin crust on the bottom, yet soft - with lots of sauce and the cheese would slide off, while the slice would fall over in your hand, but now, the dough is different, its dry, the slice is stiff and just like every other pizza joint out there. Oh, and watch what you are charged - many discrepancies there as well or with using your 12 coupons for a "free" pie. Go back to your OLD RECIPE Franks/Antonio/Joe!!! read more

Very disappointed in Frank's tonight. We called in an order and when my husband got home with it, one of the salads was not what we ordered. When I called them to let them know, I was told to hold on four times and each time another person got on the phone. The last person happened to be the owner and he offered to bring me the right salad. He did not offer to refund the wrong one until I mentioned it and then he said he would give me the difference. When they got here they shorted me on the difference. In my opinion, I should have gotten the salad for free since my family was done eating by the time I got the new one. And if they weren't smart enough to offer that, than they should have at least given me the CORRECT difference back. Nice way to run a business. First off I was hung up on when I called because the manager was done speaking to me I guess. Before calling to place my order I made sure of how much I was going to be spending before hand and had my boyfriend go pick it up. The price was $15 more than what it would've been according to their websites price. I called to ask if their prices on their website are accurate and apparently no.. only on slice.com. I wanted to just voice my complaint but the manager informed that "everywhere is that expensive." I got a large Hawaiian pizza and a medium chicken Caesar salad pizza. For $45. FOURTY FIVE. I told him that I may not have ordered if I had known!! Which is when he said everyone's prices are raising because of COVID.. And I understand like a small increase, I generally expect that when seeing online menus, but to increase the prices more than 25% and not document that immediately on the website is I feel fraud and then to not even apologize on top of it. I was very calm and explained I still was just voicing my complaint and then he finished what he felt was needed to say and hung up on me. I guess we wont keep going there since thats the only place we had been going to since moving here because you are wrong sir, I can find pizza cheaper. And this is why chains do so well. It's another Frank's Pizza location, nothing very exciting. That being said, I've have good and bad visits. Our soccer team has used the backroom for a team pizza party on a few occasions. The first time, we had an excellent time with really friendly, really attentive service. Another time, the staff that helped us was moody, not very nice and also not very attentive. I have no real experience dining here without a whole soccer team, but either way, the staff should be nice and friendly. The pizza is run of the mill and the decor is like every other Frank's you've been to. My girlfriend and I went here because she lives in the area the food she ordered had hair in it we really aren't people to send food back but she sent it back and the next day she had, had hair in it also. Frank's food is good, especially considering its location but lately there has been a lot to desire when it comes to customer service. For example- they deliver when it is convenient for them. Tonight I tried to order at 9:30, I'm located 1.4 miles away & wanted a salad. They said no. I suggest anyone living in the Flanders area order from LaGratella - they deliver as advertised. Franks is less than 2 miles down the road. I understand gas is expensive but it's a 4 minute drive and less than 2 miles each way. The dinners are fantastic and the portions are great. This place is definitely worth it if you're going there for dinner. I would have given them 5 stars but I'm a big cheesesteak guy. The first time I had their cheesesteak it was great. I thought I had finally found a place that makes good cheesesteaks. I lived in south jersey for about 15 years and I've become a cheesesteak connoisseur, plus I used to work in restaurants and I know how to make cheesesteaks. The last 2 times I ordered their cheesesteak it was horrible. The filling was still great, but the roll was hard as a rock. One of the key things about making a great cheesesteak is you have to have a nice, soft roll; not ones that are hard as a rock. I tried one again last night because I figured that the last one I had, was a mistake. Nope, no mistake. They continue to have crap rolls even after the last time I asked about it on their Facebook page, I thought they would have fixed their mistake of having a hard roll. I've been to this pizza place in person a few times. And the pizza was good. We ordered in last night and the pizza was soggy, it tasted odd, It was not an enjoyable experience. There are other pies may be better but I certainly would never order the Giuseppe again. We are regular customers and order from Frank's weekly. We order delivery and usually get our order in about an hour. Tonight we placed the order at 5pm and received it at 645. 2 tired and hungry 18 months old twins and a hungry 5 year old is less than ideal. When we inquired about a discount they told us we could call next week and they may be able to give us a 10% discount. Are they kidding? A few dollars off after waiting 1hr and 45 mins for dinner?! Mistake going here. I've been to multiple Franks and I knew what to expect. Decent Pizza not the best in the world but for the area its passable for a chain. This Frank's though had issues. Being that I worked in the food business for over 20 years I know what to look out for when it comes to leftover foods. I made the mistake of going here at 12:00 on a Saturday afternoon. I was looking out for the leftover from the night before stuff and sure enough I could tell right away by the look at all the Pizza's on the counter that it was the previous nights food. So I went with the basic plain slice because It did not look as bad as the rest of the Pizza's. I ordered 2 plain they looked ok. When I got my Pizza's I was expecting a decent Pizza, not the case. The sauce on the pizza was so sweet it ruined the flavor. The first slice was crispy but the second slice was soggy, for sure a slice leftover from the night before and the taste was even worst than the first slice. Also I ordered 2 slices of Pizza and was told to sit down and the waitress would bring it over, WHY? Its 2 slices its not a restaurant order I am not cheap but now I am in a situation that I did not expect for going into a Pizza place for 2 slices, a tipping situation. I felt like I was forced to give the waitress a tip, again I am not cheap I always give 20% for good service, but when I expect to be served not when I am forced to be served, especially for 2 slices of Pizza, again I felt bad for the girl so I left $1 tip on top of the 5.50 for the Pizza. As I read the reviews for this Frank's it seem like the owner's have issues with running a Pizzeria. I'm from the west coast originally so I'm learning all about different styles and types of pizzas. When we first moved to the area we wanted to find a good pizza place (not those chain places) where we could count on a good pie. My husband picked out two pies - a chicken ranch and a meat lovers. The meat lovers was a bit too much for me and I like meat. The chicken was a bit better. The pie was humongous and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The crust wasn't too thick or too thin.
