So first I wanna say that the food is actually very good. It's made with high-quality ingredients and you can always count on it to taste good. The two main issues I ran into is that it's extremely expensive compared to the area and the service is very slow. So these pies can range from anywhere to $18-$25. And I'm just talking about a plain cheese pizza. Nothing original just a large pizza can run you about $20 with tax. It's extremely expensive for the area. And the staff I feel like our nice but at the same time there's a lot of people ordering from here and I don't think they have really adjusted their system to accommodate that. I had ordered ahead of time and all I needed was for them to give me the pizza because I had also paid ahead of time as well. But I was waiting in line for close to 10 to 15 minutes because they just were not moving through the line correctly and also there are people standing in line, but they had already ordered, but they weren't moving out of the way and the staff didn't tell them like hey we need to take next customers. It just kinda was like a free-for-all. So while the food is very good, I do think that they can work on being more in line with the price of other locations in the area and making the service more streamline. Because even though this is a good pizza, it's not the best in the area and the best I would say is only around $14 for a large cheese pizza so there's a huge gap between here and other locations. read more

Very bad experience. I went to this restaurant with my service dog, and the owner did not allow me to enter even though service dogs are legally permitted. I was only going to order takeout, not dine in, and still he rudely yelled at me from inside. There is also no sign stating "no dogs." I felt discriminated against and mistreated. Valentino's is located in a strip mall on Rt 206 in Flanders. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating. Tonight I had a chance to stop in and give this place a try. I ordered a plain slice and a slice of Buffalo Chicken. I found them both to be very good! The plain had a nice thin crust. The Buffalo was thick with lots of chicken and bleu cheese. My god, this place is HORRENDOUS. Not sure how a "well established" restaurant could turn their product into total shit, yet they did! So, let's examine. I ordered a margarita pizza today at 4:10pm with a pick up time of 4:30pm. Cool with that. (I was #4 for you guys since you track your orders by #). As I walked to my car, I could almost feel the garbage within the pizza box, and ultimately knew that this pizza was going to suck. Sure enough, it did. 1) There was barely any sauce- So, you take a shitty pizza dough formed by an uninteresed 17 year old, and add almost zero sauce. Good job. 2) The crust was swelled up like someone who had edema in the foot, so there's that. When I got home, I attempted to dissect the pieces, and ultimately figure out another game plan to salvage the NOT worth it $20 pie. 3) The limited pieces of basil (perhaps 16) which were tossed upon the pie, were shriveled up and burnt. My guess is that if you put all of the pieces of said shriveled up basil onto a plate, it would amount to 1 tablespoon. 4) There were NOTHING to this pizza which reflected a sense of self pride, interest, or care for the customer's interest. At the end of the day, I was #4. Just a number. Well I hope this establishment reads my #4 above. Food for thought. See you never. read more

One of my favorite pizzerias when I head home to see the fam. We have even had them cater some of our larger family events. Valentino's has great food and the most delicious marinara sauce that they use on their pizza and in their dishes. We used to just get pizza here but for the last few years, have branched off into their entree dishes which are quite fresh and tasty. I am a fan of the chicken principessa and chicken valentino. My mom loves the shrimp marechiaro, which is actually really good. I never thought a pizza place could serve up dishes with fresh seafood. The baked ziti is also good, as is the veal. Don't miss out on some of their specialty pizzas, like buffalo chicken. Owners are nice, sometimes it's a little depressing to eat there, as most people take out, but all in all, a solid pizza and Italian restaurant with good prices. read more

I placed an order over the phone and everything was read back to me correctly. Then, my husband goes to pick it up and they forgot one item, a Stromboli. Not ONE apology was made, NOTHING, nada. All they did was ask if he still wanted it, he could wait while they made it. Gee, really? So, my husband waited there another 15-20 minutes, paid, and again, no thank you's or we apologize for the mistake. He gets home and we find that they did not add the garlic bread, which was supposed to be included with one of the dinner orders. Nice - then, his Stromboli, that was supposedly "just made" tasted rubbery like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a day. No more. This was the second bad experience at this place. This place is horrendous and I'm getting so disgusted with the lack of care or customer service at restaurants. You spend a good chunk of money and get nothing. What do you expect from an Italian restaurant run by "undocumented" immigrants - IF you know what I mean and they aren't italian. read more

This is my regular pizza place, I think they have the best plain slice in the area. Their other entree options are really good too, like the manicotti and sandwiches such as Philly cheesesteak or buffalo chicken. We have had a few negative experiences when dining in, and it seems like it just depends who your server is. Nobody likes that experience where everyone around you is getting their food and you aren't. This has happened a couple times, one time I had to go up after 15 minutes of waiting just to get water. I still rate them 4 stars because the food is really good, and the carryout service is almost always smooth. Overall, we've had more good to great experiences there than negative ones, and we like taking the kids there. read more

Must be a family owned restaurant. I am not from the area but frequently visit for my in-laws who live in this area. We walked in around 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. There were maybe 2 other tables and a waitress promptly came over. However, she asked if we were ready to order but since we aren't from the area there was no way we were ready to order. She left but didn't offer to take our drink orders. She came back one other time and before we could even mention what we wanted to drink she walked away. I usually drink a full glass a water before a meal so I was a little flustered that it took this long to even order my drink. When she took our food order is when she took our drinks. We go here quite often and always have a nice meal. Favorite dishes are California chicken wrap is to die for. There tortellini soup is the best. They have one salad there named after one of the employees which is awesome. Their regular pizza is very good for a non-brick oven pizza and my favorite is there chicken Marcella pizza which is the die for. My husband attempted to pick up a pizza I had called in. The girl on the phone never gave me an order number. It was a pretty distinct order: Large Half Hawaiian + half mushroom and meatballs. They wouldn't give it to him because he didn't have the order number. He tried to call me but I was busy taking care of our baby who was teething crying and sick. My husband said it was "Half Hawaiian and something" then waited for 15minutes thinking they would sort it out but they wouldn't give him the pizza so he left. He came home hungry and pissed. I called, spoke to the girl who took my order, and I could hear her trying to find out what happened.. I could hear someone in the background, "Yeah the half Hawaiian is here but the guy didn't know the order number." The girl then said yeah that was the order! So then the guy in charge personally came on the phone to -Yell-, *YES YELL*, at me that they were too busy and they wouldn't give him the pizza because he didn't have the order number. "Your husband a liar! He didn't know what the order was at all, didn't ask for a half Hawaiian pizza!" -Taken aback, I said that that was no way to talk to customers. STILL YELLING. "We are very busy! We have your order, it's ready, just come back!" -I responded, We are not going to pick it up, you made my husband wait and wouldn't give it to him when it was ready. STILL YELLING. "Put your husband on the phone, he lied about telling us the order! I want to talk to him!" -My husband is angry and hungry and doesn't want to talk. STILL YELLING. "That's because he is guilty!" -Are you joking me? He knew the order, you wouldn't give him the pizza because the girl didn't give me an order number. And now you're YELLING AT ME?! "I'm sorry we're busy, come back and pick up the pizza -FOR FREE-. I can't stay on the phone, I'm sorry for yelling." -No thank you, you can have the pizza and hung up. Obviously we won't be going back. If yelling at your customers is how you handle the stress of a busy Friday night then I guess you can afford losing some.
