In general, the Italian food is tasty. Very good pizza. We went on a what I consider a slow day and the wait was considerably long. However, the staff at Franks is for the most part genuinely kind. The restaurant is set up similar to the other franks pizza stores. There is a party room in back and nice decorations to complement the room. You cannot go wrong with their Eggplant Rollatini. Also, be sure to try some of their many various types of pizzas! They make a WONDERFUL pepperoni pizza! I love the food and will be back! read more

I ordered a Grandma Pie from here while at work. I've had their food before and liked it, however, this Grandma Pie was delivered and was RAW through more than half of the pizza!! I called to speak to a manager about it and when the counter person transferred me, the person who picked up told me that he "MAYBE the manager depending what I needed"!!! The worst service I've ever had. Ordered two pizzas and a wrap, received the pizza but had to wait 30 minutes for the wrap when it was there the whole time. If I could give this place zero stars I would !!!! The pizza was so soggy and undercooked it was dripping all over my Plate . The tables weren't wiped well . Dust on the floors . This place is complete garbage, they have no regard for their customers at all! The service there is unbelievably horrible, the workers that were on the phone that were taking my order messed up my order 3+ times, asking me to repeat so many times. I waited 2 hours for my pie, I called the manager and when I mentioned that my pizza didn't arrive in time, he was disrespecting me and saying how 'not everything is fast, you have to wait' and he hung up. Who does that to a person that is buying their food?! Then, when it finally came, I opened my food and it wasn't my order! I tried calling them back again (4 times) finally the manager picked up and when I told him the situation he told me they would come back with my right order and that it would be no charge on me and they never came to fix it. The food is fine. But the prices on the menu do not reflect the actual cost of the food. I've never heard of a restaurant charging a completely different price than what's listed on the menu. And when I questioned it....the answer was a sign was posted "for awhile" advising the prices had changed. Let me tell you what: I would be a big fatty if this restaurant was near me. We are traveling and came upon this place and the food was so good we were shocked. Couldn't stop raving about it. It was packed when we arrived but the staff immediately carved a space for us, rearranged chairs and my family of five was seated in seconds. There were two giant parties that we were behind so the service wasn't fast--but the waiter addressed it and was recognized our patience--despite having three kids with us. I had a sautéed mushroom salad with arugula; my kids had rice balls, tortellini in alfredo and my husband had this incredible eggplant rollatini (sp)--thin, fried slabs of eggplant rolled around ricotta and veggies, covered in luscious marinara. Horrible. I've given Frank's way too many chances. The first issue I had with them was when I ordered a Calzone where I specifically wanted them to make a new, fresh one instead of the one that had been sitting in the counter. They still gave me the old one and the guy indicated that he couldn't (or wouldn't) make a new one. My foolishness decided to give them another chance when I ordered for delivery; the guy tells me 35 minutes and it takes an hour when all I ordered was garlic bread and chicken fingers.... at about 2:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon (also I live about 3 minutes away). When I called to politely complain, the guy answering says "sorry we had other orders going out". The nail in the coffin was when the chicken fingers were grossly drenched in oil and extremely soggy. My foolishness again gave the driver a good tip as I am a former delivery guy myself. They're never getting my business again; I am constantly berating myself for giving my money to people who don't give a hoot about certain people for whatever ridiculous reason. read more

I purchased a Groupon deal for this place to go to with my son because it was close by. I couldn't get him to go with me because he said he had been there with his friends and none of them liked the food. Since I was in that shopping plaza, I stopped in and told them I had an expired Groupon but wanted to order a pizza to go. They told me that I couldn't order it to go because the Groupon deal was dine in only. I told them it shouldnt mater since it was expired and I was only getting the value I paid for it. Then I said I was only going to order it and pack it up anyway and asked if that was okay and they said no and shrugged their shoulders and told me to take a seat. I sat down and had to ask for service because no one even came over to me. I ordered a pie, and even though the place was empty, it took over a half an hour to get. When the waitress brought it to me, I told her I wanted the check and wanted the pizza to go. BEYOND ridiculous not to mention now I know why my son and his friends didn't like the food!! read more

Trying to keep dinner simple on St. Patrick's day, we ordered pizza. 1 large plain pie, 1 small pepperoni pie, wings and fries. We ordered at 7:53 pm. We were told 40 minutes for delivery or 20 minutes for pick up. We decided to pick up. When we arrived 8:45, we were told the plain pizza would be another 5 minutes. We noticed the time stamp on our order ticket and realized they must have given our pizza away. When we finally got our freshly made pizza, to go with our previously made food, we inquired why did the pizza take an hour. The owner acted as if we just walked in and ordered and that they delivered great service. We informed him that we have had a bad experience in the past, but we're giving them a second chance. He then continued to deny knowing we ordered an hour ago and then threw his staff under the bus for giving our pizza away. When we asked if he was throwing his staff under the bus, he answered yes! This is north jersey. There are too many great pizzeria's to get this poor service! Please go to any other pizzeria!!! read more

I've read the negative reviews and quite frankly (err, pardon the pun) never experienced anything but good service at this establishment. I am a fan of their calamari and various salads. My family loves the pizza. I am a die-hard eggplant rolatini fan. Yes, prices may be a bit high, but the quality is much, much better than the grease pits which inhabit the area. This area churns through pizza joints like I go through K-cups for my Keurig. I have ordered a slice from the counter and asked if I could sit in the dining room--no problem there! Great pizza with quality toppings. Stopped in for a late lunch and inhaled a buffalo chicken slice, and salad slice. The buffalo chicken slice was right out of the oven and I was able to get in sans bleu cheese dressing (not really a fan) and it had crispy buffalo chicken, cheese and celery on it. The salad slice was a plain slice topped with greens, cucumber, tomato, onion, fresh mozzarella cheese and a balsamic drizzle. I think this slice was good but maybe they should put a slice out (for display purposes) and then top the slice to order as the crust was too soggy. I also had two slices of the grandpa pie which were topped with cheese and fresh sliced tomatoes. Something light and tasty. I am looking forward to trying more from their endless selection of pizzas. read more

So I have been ordering pizza from there quite a lot since I have moved here and it's always a good experience ( aside from them deducting coupons) and prompt delivery. Until tonight. I figured I would try something different so at 5.15pm I called and ordered penne vodka. 6.30pm still no food, I called and the lady told me well I don't see your ticket here so it must be on its way... 5 mins later I get a call from the delivery guy confirming I am in wanaque. Wrong town but fine. The food finally arrived and I have to say I was less that impressed and that was an understatement. Food was cold of course, the garlic bread couldn't have been more stale. Straight to the garbage it went , pasta followed shortly as it was disgusting. Barely any sauce and what was on it was cold and taste old. Waste of $14 plus a tip. Stick to pizza. Many good meals. Years ago the calimari came to the table like small rubber bands and the owner took it back. Last experience was for a meatball and spaghetti lunch. Should have been 6 or 7 dollars according to the lunch menu. Asked the new waitress "Are you sure this is right - the portion is huge?" Ans - Yes. When the bill came surprise $26.00! Speaking to the owner was an exercise in futility. "You buy my food and don't want to pay for it?" he said. After we both spoke to the waitress who confirmed my story, the owner took $5.00 off the bill but only after making me retrieve my leftovers and tossing them ceremoniously in the garbage! What a hard head! After many visits I won't be back and urge others to do the same. At Franks the customer is always wrong. The owner is always right. read more

The food is always good but tonight we made the mistake of dining in rather than getting take out. We arrived at 8:45 and our waitress seemed annoyed that we were there. We ordered 2 unsweetened teas and then had to ask her twice for sweetener. We ordered an antipasto and 10" pie. The antipasto was delicious but the pizza came out improperly prepared. I would have brought this to our servers attention but she never returned. It was also clear by the cleaning of the floors and chairs being turned upside-down and being placed on top of the tables that we were unwelcome. I had to go to the counter and ask for take out containers so that I could package my food to take home to eat. We paid and left by 9:20. If your posted hours are until 10 why are you trying to push your patrons out the door at 9? You have lost a customer. read more

The staff here needs a total redo. I had ordered take out and ordered my son a pie with no cheese and pepperoni. I ordered a couple of the premade specialty slices as well. When I got there I paid for my order and smelled something funny. I open the pizza box and they had covered my son's pizza in PEPPERS. Giant peppers! Who would ever want that? I clearly said pepperoni. Okay, so that bothered me but then after asking for them to take it off my card because I didn't want it, they get what I presume was the manager out who was insanely rude to me! He didn't even apologize! He acted as thought I was taking up his valuable time. Then after I get my refund, I started asking how long it would take to get a new pie made. And he goes all huffy and puffy 'Well, then I would have to just out the same amount on your card that I just took off!!!' Already upset being that I had driven 20 minutes to pick this order up, I go nevermind and I left. I had to get my son Wendy's that's around the corner. I get to my boyfriends house and try to start enjoying the two specialty slices I got and an order of zucchini fries. UGH! It was so dry!!!! The chicken parm pizza slice didn't even have sauce on it! The zucchini fries were so soggy we forced ourselves to eat half the order and then had to throw it out. There are so many pizza places in this area, I've already tried several of them. I'm sorry to say but Franks Pizza will no longer receive any service of mine. For starters every time I order I get a chicken ceaser salad and add shrimp and every time they have either forgot the shrimp or forgot the chicken. Secondly this time I gave them the benefit of the doubt considering it was very busy last time so I ordered once more. Today I was only given shrimp, when I ordered chicken and shrimp and I decided to give it a go at one of their soups of the day. Further more they even got THAT WRONG as well. When I was in high school, this was the best place to eat. I loved coming here for both the pizza and their entrees. I have since moved out of town, but I would return for the occasional slice. Their pizza is still good...but last night I ordered an entree and I was so..so...disappointed. Their front desk staff is completely new - most of them had no idea what they were doing. It took me 10 minutes to place my order because the girl on the phone kept mishearing what I was saying. Anyway, I ordered penne vodka and a sandwich. When we got our meal, I opened the container and thought I had ordered the wrong thing. The penne vodka was in a red sauce and it tasted like marinara...but it was "vodka sauce". The sandwich was on stale bread. Not to mention the salad came with no dressing. I am very disappointed at how this turned out. Maybe it was just a bad night, but I won't be ordering any entrees from there again. read more

My dad (72) ordered 2 pies totaling $33 for my 3 kids while I ran to the supermarket. The kids handed the delivery man $60 and he gave my dad change as if he were given $40. When my dad realized and called the store they didn't care or want to do anything. When I called and spoke to the owner/manager, Tony, and explained that my dad is on a fixed income and $20 is a lot of money to him his only answer to me was that he was stuck in the middle and didn't know who to believe. I suggested that as a customer who just spent money at his establishment I really don't have a reason to lie versus a delivery kid who works for tips. Either way I explained to him that I was a business owner myself and sometimes you just have to do the right thing. He asked me what I would do and I said, for $20 that isn't going to make or break you, I'd have someone bring the $ back. His answer to me is that the guy has been working there 3 years and said he doesn't have the money. Whether it was intentional or a mistake, as a business man trying to save face he should have just offered the money back. Horrible customer service.
