I went here for fish bowls one night and had fun! The staff was kind, and the pizza from the window was delicious. Only issue is there is not a lot of seating so you have to have a reservation. I tried going for dinner one night, but the wait was an hour. I will definitely come here again!

Stopped by here with the fam while visiting. It's fine. Prices are good. Ambience- not bad but the lighting is harsh. Turn it down. Service - no complaints. Food - Mmm. Mediocre but ok. Pizza toppings were good but I didn't love the crust - gummy and lacking flavor. Spaghetti marinara was just ok. Salads were good although they drenched it with cheese which I never understand. Price - Ok this is where they win. I am from the Bay Area and could not believe you can get a large pizza plus a huge plate of pasta to share, four salads and 4 alcoholic beverages -- for under 70 bucks. AYKM?! Our drinks were half price because we were there before six but still. Great value for groups IMO. So - it's ok and a good value for the money. Would like it better if they fix the lighting and up their pizza game. Loved the neon out front.

Lately for dinner I've been ordering their Antipasto salad as I really love it. Because it's so big I usually have to ask for a box to take home what I can't finish. I highly recommend it. $18 Their pizzas are always good. They have 3 pizza sizes and their biggest is a giant size. We continue to come here quite frequently some of which is due not only for their service, good food but also because of their Happy Hour wines by the glass which at Happy Hour are 50% off. A slight bummer is that currently for the last month or so they have been out of their Chianti wind by the glass. Our waitress told us that's because they're in the process of changing their wine menu. An Italian oriented menu without a Chianti wine to me is sad ... however for many years I've found Franky's to be a very nice restaurant, caring about their patrons and so I have faith that soon a basic Chianti wine will be available again.

Happy hour Spaghetti and Meat sauce and pizza with Garlic. My glass of pinot nior was half off.

For and Italian restaurant, I expected more flavor. My wife and I found our Valentine's Day dinner to be bland and yuck yuck.

Terrible service. The food I got did not match the order, the staff was rude, and they don't care about costumers.

You step inside and head upstairs, and suddenly the outside world is forgotten. It's its own little realm holding court in the heart of Chico. It is warm, inviting, and has plenty of seating, with a full cast of attentive staff, and decor that doesn't shout "Italian!" from the rooftops, but is very hipster whispering with confidence. We opened with the lamb appetizer, and I'll admit this with measured humility... it rivaled my own. Tender, well-seasoned, and not a trace of that gamey nonsense. The Brussels sprouts followed suit, crisped just right, delivering that perfect bite between char and flavor. The bread and dipping combo? Let's just say restraint was not my strong suit. A few pizzas passed by like temptation itself, and every one of us took notice. Plans were made... our future visit in the works. For the mains, the birthday girl claimed the ribeye, and it arrived exactly as it should... cooked to perfection, with potatoes that could quietly steal the show if you weren't paying attention. Her boyfriend and I, in a moment of questionable maturity, settled our fate with Rochambeau. He emerged victorious and took the crispy chicken breast with gnocchi, a dish generous enough to test even a committed appetite. I went with the short rib ragu, rich and comforting, the kind of plate that doesn't need explaining. The drink selection holds its own, and the dessert menu read like a final act worth staying for... but we were defeated in the best possible way and bowed out early. Service never missed a beat. Present, attentive, and smooth from start to finish. Parking, as with most things in downtown Chico, requires a bit of patience and perhaps a small offering to the parking gods. But once inside, it's quickly forgotten. All told, a night well spent. Good food, good company, and a place that knows exactly what it's doing without needing to announce it. We'll be back... if only to answer the question those passing pizzas left behind.

We had reservations and were seated immediately. We started with the garlic bread and bruschetta, both of which were excellent. The mozzarella on the bruschetta was especially rich and buttery, definitely a standout. The moscow mule was refreshing, though I wish the ginger had a little more kick, and the cool strawberry mocktail was superb, not too sweet with the mint coming through. For mains, the spaghettini had naturally sweet tomatoes and a thick sauce that clung beautifully to the noodles. The scallops were fresh and sweet, though the mushroom risotto with saffron crème they sat on leaned tangy, which might be hit-or-miss depending on your palate. The chicken piccata was also quite tart, true to style. And the pork special was good too. We ended with the spumoni that was cherry-forward, and tiramisu, which was fantastic. Decadent, yet light and airy.

The olive oil and balsamic that go with the excellent bread are top quality and it just goes on from there. We had a lovely time this evening and our server, Rebekah, was especially delightful.
