This is legit NY style pizza. The size, the flavor, the foldable crust reminds me just of the slices in NYC. The employees and so nice and helpful, and the prices can't be beat. Wife wanted a slice of pizza while we were out and about. I recommend this place as it's one of the few places out our way that sells it by the slice. Pizza is pretty good. Nice big pieces and they fold easily. The cheese pizza lunch special is 7.99 for 2 slices with a drink. Not too shabby. Their sandwhich selection is on point, too. You can tell they are from New York as their style is definitely influenced that way. Owner is kind of off putting, but his just the New Yorker in him. Not a mean guy, just very straightforward. Hours are kind of strange, as they aren't open for dinner. But, I get it. It's a very small crew that does this day in and day out. Anyway, it's worth checking out, for sure. read more

Starting with the phone call, "What do you want?" Should have been a rip off that they lacked customer service but I was hoping the food would be good. I ordered pizza special with pepperoni & sausage! Three slices of pepperoni and 4/5 small pieces of sausage on each slice for $2. The pizza was a pile of grease. I couldn't eat them. The mozzarella sticks were OK. Not worth the $7, maybe a $4 value. Fortunately I don't work/live around here. Won't be back if I can help it. This place is truly a mom and pop business. Heather, Darren, and their grown up kiddo run the show! They serve lunch to a great deal of the county almost everyday and they do it well! Their subs are hands down the best in the OC. The bread the use for the subs and pizza is to die for. The pizza can be sold by the slice or by the whole pie. For this discerning pizza lover --- this my favorite pie in the Greater Louisville Metro. Awesome hand tossed, great sauce. NY authentic. The oven char I lust after. When the hunger strikes, i happily drive 30 minutes one way past countless other kitchens for the taste this family owned joint offers. Five star good and service. Transplanted New Yorker in Kentucky and this is the only place I will get pizza. Cheese cake and cannolis are straight from NYC.

The owner(s) of this pizza place should be ashamed of treating customers the way they do. We are doing work in the la grange area, and stopped by for lunch yesterday to place a to go order. As first time customers, we pulled right in with our truck and trailer, obviously not knowing there was a gravel lot in the back for bigger vehicles. Without any previous conversation, the owner (male) barged in the door acting like a child and throwing a tantrum because we were taking up spots in the parking lot and yelled at us to park in the back. We were 2 out of 4 people in the whole entire place. He was immediately rude and caused a complete scene by raising his voice in front of customers and other staff members. He did not once even try to be polite and explain to us that the bigger lot was in the back. When I called and spoke to one of the owners this morning, she seemed very annoyed and tried to deny the altercation happened as it did. After reading reviews all over the internet of this place, I now know that this man has had more than a few altercations with customers. If I could give our experience negative stars, I definitely would. If you enjoy being harassed then this place is definitely for you. If not, then I'd strongly advise you not give your money to this place. read more

I've been back since I posted the first review, and I've tried a few more items. Time to update this review. The pizza is NOT as good as I remember - it's meh, unexceptional, and hit-or-miss. In fact, my children have refused to eat it, and they generally love all things pizza. I've had a pretty disgusting and disappointing meatball sub here (tough/stale bread, old rancid tasting, like past its expiration/reheated leftovers) -- not edible. I would have returned it, but I got it to go. The inside is run down, very few items/choices in the deli case, and there's so many good places to get delicious pizza in Louisville (and even Oldham County). Yes, it's reasonably priced, but so is Dominos (and it tastes better). read more

This is the same restaurant that used to be in Crestwood and now they are up the road in Buckner. They still have the New York styled food and deli. The deli is stocked with Boars Head meat and cheese and the sandwiches are fresh made. The sandwich board is expansive and the only problem you will have is which one to get. Walked in and immediately saw health issues. Woman at the register would take money and then pick up a pizza slice with her bare hands. Also witnessed her slicing meat on the slicer with no gloves. A little girl was behind the pizza counter and was playing with dough. Another woman was behind the counter with only flip flops on for shoes. Food looked good but I didn't know where it had been, how long it had been there (it was sitting out on a platter), or how it had been handled. Didn't even stay to eat. read more

The first time Frascelli's caught my eye was on a midafternoon when I was starving and driving through the area , I saw the sign advertising two dollar slices of New York pizza between 2 and 5 PM. That was one fantastic slice of authentic New York pie. I also noticed they had chicken salad, and made a mental note that the next time I was passing through I was going to try it out. And I'm extremely glad I did, because that is some amazing chicken salad. And I am a very picky chicken salad eater. They also have a large variety of very tasty sounding deli sandwiches in addition to the New York style pizza and chicken salad. Best pizza me and my family have ever had (not exaggerating). We laughed at the enormity of the pizza since my 9 and 11 year old carried them to the car and the box was bigger than them. The slices are huge and price was reasonable. We had leftovers and they reheated very well. The crust had a slight crunch but not crispy. I love that the sauce and cheese did not overpower the crust as well. Perfectly balanced. It was a true New York styled pizza. My husband is extremely picky when it comes to pizza but he said he really enjoyed it. We are regulars at Frascelli's. Every Friday we get our pizzas (and sometimes canolli!) to go before the high school football games. I love the fact that they recognize my voice on the phone and are always ready with my order when I pick it up. The family that runs the place is extremely friendly and seems to know everyone! I only eat a few things from Frascelli's, but what I choose to eat is very good. I like the sandwiches more so than the pizza, but that's just a personal favorite. The canoli are excellent, too, but I do like to take them home & add powdered sugar so I can get it all over me when I eat them! read more
