Tried a couple new Mac's pizzas, so I'm updating this review! My friends and I went to Mile Wide tonight, and considering I hadn't eaten much today, I was so thankful to have Mac's on-site for a quick, easy and delicious dinner. We were able to quickly order from our table in the brewery and were notified via text when they were ready. Our group of four split the Potato Rosemary and Ricotta, Pepperoni and Hot Honey pizzas. This was the right amount of pizza for this group size. And like all Mac's pizzas I've had, these were -- I hate to say it because it's overused but -- *chef's kiss*. The Potato Rosemary pizza was perfectly seasoned, and the potatoes were thin, not too chewy or mushy. The large flakes of Parmesan on top -- love it. Ricotta, Pepperoni and Hot Honey pizza had a bit of spice, a bit of heat, but also a bit indulgent. Creamy cheese and hot honey is such a great combination. And the crust on these pizzas was cooked to perfection in their large pizza oven. Mac's makes a trip to Mile Wide into a special treat! read more

When I got to Milewide I thought I wouldn't need any munchies but the longer I stayed I couldn't say no to the pizza at Mac's! We ordered a pepperoni pizza which was cheesy and delicious. Wood oven crispy crust to perfection. They also gave us some hot honey on the side, which is offered on their popular pizza, and warning - it is SPICY. Drizzling rather than dipping is the way to go. The pizza is big enough for 2 to share. A bit on the pricier side for that size but ingredients are fresh and I saw a lot of pizza being made - all of them came out looking fantastic. Friends ordered the wings and wow - delicious as well. Very thick. SUPER messy. We also tried their pretzel and while it is a good presentation, it was hard and cold. The beer cheese is also thicker like a spread and was not a favorite. For the size of the pretzel they should offer more dip. You can buy more for $3. This is a starter to skip. It's easy to order online and a few of our group also went to their counter to request an order. No issues either way. Most people do eat inside the brewery; however, if that's not your style there are several picnic tables under a tent outside. Eat that pizza hot rather than carry out. Mac's at Milewide is a pizza joint within Mile Wide Brewing Company. Pizza pairs well with beer, right? Louisville has a lot of pizza + joints. But this one offers some fun artisan offerings, like the hot honey, ricotta, basil, and pepperoni that I got. I like to order a side of beer cheese for a dollar to dip my crust in. They also have wings, salads, and dessert pizzas. The kitchen is pretty small and limited, so it's impressive what can be cranked out of the space. You have to order online via a QR code, which is fine. When the order is ready for pickup, a text is sent to the phone that sent in the order. Just be aware, it may take 20-40 minutes for your order to be ready since they prepare it in their small oven. Normally there are only 1-2 people working to prepare the dishes. All in all, I appreciate the creativity and availability of food when drinking beer! read more

Mac's @ Milewide is an interesting concept. It is a pizza place called macs that is inside of a popular trendy brewery or bar called milewide located off barter ave. Me and my buddy Jeremy was hanging out in the Baxter and Barrett ave area one day last week and checking out some of the bars when we came across milewide that shared a parking lot with diamonds and planet of the tapes. We had heard that Mac's was inside so we decided to make this our dinner spot. You walk In and Mac's is the first thing you see. It was just one guy working at an open kitchen and counter. The gentleman old is online orders only. That online would give us pickup time and That we could hang out at the bar and then get food and dine in bar as well. The menu is all what I call personal pan pizzas. I'm sure two people could share a pizza but it won't fill you up. Pizzas are a bit pricey at around $12 a piece to start. I personally got a cheese and got a Nutella Oreo pizza as well. My buddy got some hot wings. The online time given to us was pretty accurate. We hung out and checked out the milewide bar scene. Grabbed our food and ate our back kn patio. I'm bot sure if it was from the pizza oven or what but they whole car was supper hot. They do not offer fountain sodas and chargers for bottles of cokes and waters. But we found kinda a cheat. At the bar they have a water cooler for the DD's of the world to self serve some water. So instead of paying $3 for a bottled water we was happy to hit up the old water cooler. The pizza itself was ok. Was mhargretta style and not much substance. I took the the Nutella pizza home to share with the idea and kids and my goodness it was making. Maybe the best desert pizza I've had before. Top notch. Overall this place is ok. It's a neat idea and setup. Service seemed bad because it one guy working and he probably couldn't be bothered with having customer service skills. Pizza was solid. My buddy said wings was ok and Nutella pizza was great. I'd say it's overpriced. But if I'm at the bar and drunk already I'm sure this would earn and extra star or two on the rating. read more

What do you really want when you are having tasty beers? While maybe playing board games or meeting with friends? Food. You want food. It was a matter of time before Milewide got themselves an on-site way to feed their beer swigging patrons. And I was not mad to find out it was a pizza joint. The pizzas are super thin crust (my favorite) and are good to feed to people with an average appetite (I wouldn't look twice at someone devouring their own pizza, though). There are some really interesting topping combination, but don't worry...there are also plenty of traditional-adjacent choices. Currently (mid- to late-2021), the menu can be accessed via a QR code on table tents throughout Milewide. You order and pay through the website, and they text you when your order is ready to be picked up at the counter in the entryway. I got the potato rosemary pizza and was incredibly happy with my choice. Delicious and I am so happy to find pizzas with non-tomato-sauce bases! My complaint is that there is no breadstick/garlic bread option. I wish I could live off garlic bread. And it is the easiest thing to share with more than one person, an offering everyone can agree upon. read more

I finally got around to trying this place after coming to Mile Wide a few times to get beer to go. This time I didn't pre order anywhere else because of having this place on my mind. I went to the counter to order but, the guy behind the counter asked me to order online and there is a scan code for the menu. Once I ordered online the website indicated a 30 minute wait, I was told I would get a text when it's ready. I decided to grab a beer or 2 while waiting for my pizza. My order was ready in exactly that amount of time, I'm heading up to get my pizza and the guy behind the counter had it in hand to bring to me since I told him before I was eating inside. Now was time to dig in. I ordered the Neoplaton Pepperoni pizza and OMG, it was delish. This pizza was not cooked in a traditional oven like other pizza places do, this is a fire oven. The Pepperoni was cooked to perfection. I did pick off the green leaves on the pizza. I have quite a few favorite pizza places being a pizza lover and I will say this tops my list in the top 5 of my favorite pizza places. As I was leaving I told the guy behind the counter that was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. He thanked me and I left a tip in the tip jar. Not a bad dining experience but not a great dying experience either. My buddy Joe and I went to macs the other day for some food. This is a strange concept and set up they have here because this is just the max is the food establishment that's located inside mile wide brewery so it's two places in one. I ordered six hot wings and they were $10 they were OK not too spicy the flavor was decent but I was hoping to get maybe eight wings or 10 you know For six wings $10.50 is pretty expensive in my opinion. So that's why I'm gonna give my wings at three. Also it was hot in there we had to sit outside and it was so hot inside the restaurant which is OK because it was a nice evening out. read more

Really great pizza spot inside MileWide Beer Co. Able to order online, and you get a text when it's ready, which was pretty quick. We got the Spicy Capicola and the Potato Rosemary, and both were quite good. They're thinner pizzas and are cooked in a brick oven, which makes a toasty crust that is terrific. So good that we decided to get the Nutella pizza as well, which was also great. We got ours plain, but will add fruit next time. I was SO surprised to have an awesome food option when I joined some friends at Milewide. The pizza oven is SO cute. It was a simple order at the counter with a text pickup. We had the sausage, cappicola and potato pizzas. All had a tender crust that was crisp on the outside and soft inside (just the way I want my wood-fired pizza). The ingredients were top of the line in terms of flavor. What impressed me the most: the roasted veggie small plate. It was a foil roasted packet of peppers, onions, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower with balsamic and Parmesan). Their pizza was good, but it wasn't something I'd get regularly unless I happened to be at Milewide and starving. Pros? Great add to Milewide. I had the pomodoro pizza - I'm all about that tomato sauce, and this is nothing but. Just crust and sauce - perfecto. The crust was perfect and crispy. The sauce was red and simple. A little roasted garlic on top clinched it. (Plus, a beer - who doesn't love beer and pizza?) The price was also reasonable. Think mine was about $10. Got to sample a buffalo wing - very nice, meaty, good flavor The pizza I ordered was spicy capicola (crushed italian tomato sauce, chili flakes, spicy capicola ham, mozzarella, parmesan and mac's hot honey), really delicious, i would order this every time. The pizza is great. The menu is limited. Service is lame. I order Mac's whenever I play trivia with my friends at Mile Wide. There has been an issue the last several times we've ordered. Last time, I ordered a Caesar salad (had it before and it was decent), but this time I was given Italian dressing. Ummm no. The salad itself is pretty much just lettuce tomatoes and croutons, so the dressing is what makes it. And it's like $5! Last night I ordered using the app, which wasn't a super easy interface. I waited and waited for a text, a notification, something. When I finally went to check, they had boxed my order saying they were worried since I didn't respond to the text. I told them I didn't get a text. They gave each other the eye like I was crazy. Then my friends ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. They were given pepperoni and sausage. They weren't going to say anything but I told them to because that's not what they wanted and those pizzas are $12! She took it up there and..they slid the pepperoni and sausage pizza right into the trash, gave each other a look and said they'd make a new one. WTF is that!? I have worked in food service and that's not how you handle a situation that you screwed up. You apologize, let them have the current pizza so they have something to eat, and you make the pizza they ordered. The attitude is ridiculous and provides terrible service. Having a brewery with a sweet pizza oven is the best! Mac's Neapolitan pizzas are on the thinner side and the crust is chewy and crunchy in all the right ways. They have chosen solid toppings that should meet everyone's flavor. The pies come in one size...which is a decent size pizza for 2 people. They have a small selection of salads and appetizers too. The portions are good, not too massive but definitely enough to serve the purpose of an extra snack or side item to share. My favorites are the mushroom pizza and the caprese salad. Of course I've enjoyed everything I've tried. The way it works is easy and makes for a perfect dinner spot if you're in the mood for good beer and pizza. Fantastic pizza. The crust is the star of the show but they have some interesting topping options. Personal fav is the spicy cap...ahhhh, spicy cap....They also have specials which are often interesting (please bring back that BBQ chicken pizza!) and use seasonal ingredients. Easy ordering system for mile wide patrons (aka, the best freakin brewery in the city) but you can also do carry out if you are not into the best beer in the city or if you had too much of said beer the day before but screwed up and didn't get a pizza (what were you thinking?). read more

No phone number, to cancel order & no delivery... A pizza place with no number now that's bat shit crazy. SMH guess I'll have to get my bank to cancel payment since I can't get Mac's pizza to. WTH I'll never order here again. When I looked at desserts and seen they have nothing you would even consider I should have changed my mind .... They was out of stock on mushrooms & basil like really but still had the mushroom pizza available. Came here on the same day that Taste of Louisville was taking place in the parking lot. Surprisingly enough they weren't busy at all (Mile Wide or Mac's). We walked up and were very slowly and eventually greeted by one of the two unenthusiastic employees in the open kitchen. I ordered the Sausage pie. I would say It was good at best. The sauce lacked and although the pies were of decent size it was a lot of crust. The dough here falls a bit thin and flat literally for this style. Its also pricy considering that's it's pretty much self service (you pick up your pizza when they text you it's done) and you can get a better experience with full service locally at Lupo and Bar Vetti. They both offer much better quality for similar pizza styles. It's still a good option if you happen to find oneself hungry at Mile Wide, but I don't personally see myself seeking it out in the future. My 2 friends that I was with felt about the same. And some kindness and semi appreciation from the employees could go a long way in my book. But then again, maybe they just were having a bad day ? We've all been there. read more
