Wow! Went in not knowing what to expect. We didn't have a reservation but we were lucky enough to have gotten there as someone was leaving. They accommodated us and our dog immediately. The staff was friendly and the owner was attentive and amazing! The food was amazing, both entrees were great. This was probably one of my top 3 Italian restaurant experiences in my life. It has a small space, so be ready to get there right when they open or wait. The staff were friendly and the decor inside the restaurant was nice. We had shared the octopus appetizer and it was SO yummy. I think about it all the time. My boyfriend got the carbonara lunch special and he said it was rather average and could not finish all of it-- I had some of his and I thought it was pretty good though. I had Nonna's special cannelloni and it was a smaller portion size (see picture-- only 2 cannelloni, but lots of sauce), but the flavor was incredible. My boyfriend really liked my dish. I thought the prices were fair for the quality of food, and although I am not local to the area, I will try to get back to this restaurant the next time I'm in Miami. read more

Now to the food, we came multiple days in a row even though I had a long list of places I wanted to try, that's how good it is!!!! We had the antipasto platter, the fried calamari and fried mozzarella special for starters and all of them were simply delicious. Our favorite was definitely the fried mozzarella, man that sauce and the gooey cheese were dynamite. They also serve a "do it yourself bruschetta" with every table, great warm bread with tomatoes to top it off. Main courses we tried were the seafood linguini special, the osso bucco, lasagna, fettuccine Papalina, vitello ai tre funghi and the lobster ravioli special. I mean all of them were amazing, but the standouts were the osso bucco and the lobster ravioli, simply because you don't eat those dishes often and if you only come once, those are THE dishes to try. Dessert was also yummy, the tiramisu was fluffy and light, the apple tart wonderful and the chocolate cake a slam dunk. The chocolate cake is super rich, that one might need 4 people to share. I was sad to leave and I'm still sad that this restaurant is so so far away, it's been an epic experience and I'm definitely looking forward to come back. read more

This wonderful small single proprietor owned and operated Italian restaurant is a hidden gem in Coral Gables. Beto Dicarlo is the hands on owner. He works the floor greeting guests, reviewing the menu, making recommendations, etc. Seems many customers are often repeat patrons. This small friendly restaurant reminds me of the neighborhood trattorias throughout Italy. Beto comes from a family of chefs, however many recipes are from his Sicilian grandmother. Well done. My wife and I struggled with deciding on what to order. Too many excellent selections. Beto helped us decide. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! We ordered the burrata salad and the pan-seared provolone. The veal parmigiana with pappardelle pasta/bolognese sauce was excellent. Huge serving. The ossobuco with risotto was top notch. Beto offers a nice selection of Italian wines. Prices are competitive and offer excellent value for outstanding trattoria style dining. They have a very nice menu. Came here for the first time for my boo's birthday and absolutely loved it. No frills, no Miami hype, just great Italian food and amazing service. For starters, they bring out deliciously warm and crispy bread with a side of tomatoes. We ordered the fried calamari and zucchini app, which was lightly breaded and topped with a zesty sauce. I went with the pear stuffed agnolotti, which comes in a cream sauce and sprinkled with chopped figs. The perfect combination of salty and sweet. My boo got a mushroom pasta in a white cream sauce that was also quite tasty. All portions were significant and filling. I can't end a meal without having dessert, so I opted for the tiramisu, while my boo went for the apple tart topped with vanilla ice cream. The tiramisu was underwhelming , but the apple tart was DIVINE. I'm not a huge fan of apple desserts, but it was topped with a burnt caramel sauce that I'd gladly bathe in. The service was incredible. They had a big party at the same time we were there, but I never felt ignored. The service was attentive but not suffocating. I'll definitely be coming back! As for parking, this spot is right on Miracle Mile, so plenty of street parking and a parking garage on the street behind the restaurant. read more

A group of friends and I went for lunch. The food was excellent, but pricey. My total bill $63 which included tax (8%) and gratuity (20%). Most of us chose the Taste of the Gables lunch menu selection which was $35. I had a glass of prosecco $14. The total was $49, then add to that the tax and tip and there you are at my total. I chose salad for my first course and it was quite small, but very good. For my main course I had the veal, also very good and not too skimpy on the portion size. I finally checked out Fratellino thanks to so many friends telling me about it and I can say I was not disappointed Came here to celebrate my sons birthday (one of the many celebrations) because he is a tremendo foodie and wanted to go out to eat for one of his "DAYS OF BDAY". I made reservations in advance. My mom got their first and they seated her right away at our table. We got their right after and were immediately greeted and seated. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the agnolotti de pera. If you like sweet and salty this dish is for you. It is exquisite and I was not dissappointed. My son of course got the linguine alla vongole which he ate in 5 minutes. Said it was the best pasta hes ever had. I was insulted as his mom because he knows VERY WELL mom is the master chef. My husband got a seafood pasta which he also liked. My mom and aunt ate their food before I can even judge it or take a photo. They said it was excellent. I would come back here for a special dinner or a celebration for sure. Its private, intimate, and it almost feels like you're home. From the minute you walk in to the minute you leave you are treated like family. The restaurant is located in Miracle Mile part of Coral Gables. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is simple. Family is the theme and they truly embrace that in service and feel. But on top of the great service the shining star here is the food. I'm not an internet slang kind of person but Oh My God. Everything from the fresh baked bread with bruschetta to start to the delicate apple tart for dessert everything is to die for. In fact, I must have their famous Ossobucco at least once a year. It is my absolute favorite dish of all time. The meat is so incredibly tender. The risotto is so flavorful and creamy. One bite and your toes will curl...believe me. If you are reading this in trying to decide whether to go or not. Stop and Go! You will not be disappointed. If you're looking for an Italian restaurant in Miami then this is definitely the spot you need to go to. My husband and I absolutely adore Fratellino. We have gone before and had to make it back when we got to Miami. Once again they did not disappoint. We called to make reservations and they were pretty much all booked up. But we were able to fit a weekday dinner reservation. I was really glad we did because this one experience was even better than the last (which I didn't think was possible). Once seated the owner welcomed us with some thank-you proseccos for coming back. We also got some of their delicious complementary bread which came with some delicious bruschetta sauce. After hearing the specials of the day, we basically ordered everything from there. They were serving octopus carpaccio so we had to get it to start. It was amazing. For myself, I went with their Black Ink Lobster Ravioli. OMG you must get it if they have it. It was in a creamy pink sauce that was heavenly. I killed the entire thing with no regrets. My husband got their Pappardelle which came with spinach and mushroom. It was also very good and he very much liked it. To finish off we shared their tiramisu cake. It was the perfect ending to our meal. Service is once again impeccable. The staff was very nice, very welcoming, and attentive. The entire bill was so much cheaper than we though it would be.
