I'm giving this restaurant 3.5 stars because even though the food was delicious, the service was not as great as I would've liked. It was a Friday evening and we did not have reservations but we were still seated. The staff told us that we would be timed and had to give up the table within an hour of being seated because they had a reservation coming in around that time. We agreed that it was fine as long as they were able to serve us our food within that time. Parking was a mission of course because most places in Miami are not easy to find parking for. I parked in a garage behind the restaurant but if you're lucky/patient/not in a rush you can probably find street parking. The food was pretty good. I would recommend this restaurant if looking for decent Italian food in the area. I also would come back if someone invited me or suggested an outing at this restaurant. The only other downside to this visit sadly had to do with the service. At one point as the sun was setting, my seat was the only one on the terrace with no shade, and the sun was B L A Z I N G and obviously very bright. And it was directly in my line of sight, and at one point I could not take it anymore and kindly asked one of the employees if it would be okay to move the umbrella in a slightly different angle so it could also offer me some shade. He declined my request and said it could not be moved because then the other guests would be uncomfortable. After a few minutes he realized that the other guests were also being affected because obviously as the sun is setting the light is moving and the umbrella is no longer serving its purpose, and then he moved the umbrella and fixed the issue.

Food, service and ambiance was great! Everything was fresh and delicious. Bread literally came out of the oven straight to our table - so good!! Spaghetti bolognese was delicious! It was a large portion so I did have my husband help me finish it. Service was great, they are attentive and polite. Would definitely come back!

I definitely recommend making a reservation because this place is fairly small and fills up quickly during dinner time. Our waiter was very attentive and all the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting Italian food!

This place has so many reviews that it really doesn't need mine but let me just say it was fantastic. Beto, the guy who runs everything, is so friendly and attentive. Everyone seems to know him. Antipasto salad so fresh and flavorful and beautifully presented. I'm always hesitant to get linguine con vongole because the only place that does it perfectly is Dante and Luigi's in Philly. But this was a 9/10. Fantastic. Husband had special papperadelli with Italian sausage. Pasta cooked perfectly.

Clearly, the best place for pasta! The lobster ravioli was to die for and let's not forget they're famous lasagna which no one can come close to. I really missed my favorite place on the mile great I got a chance to dine on a rainy Wednesday evening. BETO with his hospitality kicks it out of the ballpark. Try it out for yourselves you will not be disappointed!

The food is. So. Friggin. Good. From the bread to the lasagna oh my gosh. I just can't. I had dinner by myself there while on a work trip and I was so happy with my choice. I also had the Caesar salad and it was pretty good as well. I'd definitely go again.

Fratellino is a small, authentic Italian restaurant in Coral Gables with great food. I imagine it must get pretty packed during season. We liked our waiter who was friendly and helpful. We tried the tricolor salad which was fresh and excellent, and fried provolone in a delicious orange sauce with oregano and peas - also very tasty. For mains, we tried the spaghetti bolognese because I'm a sucker for a great bolognese with the hearty red sauce and a delicious sliced sausage home made pasta dish which I believe was one of the specials. Great wine by the glass list to select from. To finish it off, we went with the traditional tiramisu, which I can't resist at a good Italian restaurant.

Came here for my dad's birthday, wow!!! Authentic perfection. Atmosphere is great, a cozy, clean, white table cloth classic spot. The owner is amazing. He's so funny and personable and walks up to everyone like you are family. Can't wait to return

Amazing experience! So wonderful! Can't recommend Fratellino enough. Call in advance to get reservations. Beto the owner is super helpful and welcoming! The menu is extensive and impressive! However, we both ended up getting the specials. The filet mignon risotto was incredible, as was everything else. The fresh bread when you arrive was perfect and our octopus appetizer was amazing!! The food was wonderful but the hospitality was 10/10. We were brought wine, dessert, and digestifs and felt at home. Completely a family friendly environment- not so romantic per se but very warm and welcoming. A must do in coral gables! I understand the hype!

The setting was actually really nice--quiet, cozy, with a good mix of families and friends. We sat outside and the overall vibe felt promising. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill pretty quickly. As soon as we sat, the waitress greeted us by saying the kitchen was closing at 10 and asked if we already knew what we wanted. It immediately felt rushed and not very welcoming. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, which was good--slightly citrusy for my taste, but enjoyable. For food, I had the chicken Caesar salad and my husband ordered the seafood gluten-free pasta. My salad was disappointing--it had more croutons than chicken, which made it feel unbalanced and not worth the price. His pasta was even more underwhelming, with only three shrimp and a few clams. When we brought it up, the manager came over and explained that portions are measured by the restaurant, but offered to add more chicken and shrimp if we wanted. While I appreciate the offer, it felt like something that should have been corrected automatically, not something we had to ask for--especially considering these are full-priced entrées, not side dishes. Overall, the ambiance was nice, but the food and service didn't meet expectations. For the price point, I expected better portions and a more thoughtful response to feedback. Maybe pizza is a safer option here, but based on this experience, I wouldn't return.

It was also decadent and scrumptious despite it being a slightly small portion size but still adequate for two to share. As for the food, the Fiori Di Zucca Ripieni Di Caprino E Miele Al Tartufo were absolutely divine, easily one of the highlights of the night. The octopus was disappointing, chewy and lacking flavor. The pumpkin ravioli was just okay and I wish the sauce had been creamier. The Linguine Alle Vongole was very good, probably our favorite pasta besides the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe with truffles, which was hands down the best dish we ordered. The mushroom tagliatelle wasn't what we expected at all, the sauce was much thinner and waterier than anticipated. We ended up skipping dessert solely because the service left such a bad impression.
