Ordered pizza and meatballs online. Was given 20 minute ETA. When I arrived to pick up my order, was told they no longer made meatballs (too labor intensive, they said). Pointed out it was still on their online menu AND menu board in the store. They said they'd let someone know. 20 minute ETA ended up being 45 minutes. Too bad -- used to love this place. Not sure what changed but it went the wrong direction. Ordered pizza online. They simplified the app. Ordered what We wanted. Fast time for pick up. The medium pizza was burnt, dry, barely olives & mushrooms on top. My 4 yr old Grandson looked at his piece and said "old". It was beyond disappointment. This place use yo have decent pizza. Pizza was disappointing and service was bad. Order was supposed to be ready at 7:15pm. We arrived around 7:30 and the unfriendly, spaced-out cashier said they still needed to make the garlic bread. We waited 20+ more minutes, just before they closed. The pizza was just ok. It used to be *so delicious* and was our favorite. We only have pizza a few times a year and always looked forward to getting it from Buccaneer (previously First Class Pizza) in Villa Park. But this time was so disappointing. Buccaneer pizza in the Ralph's plaza is very good. Excellent quality ingredients. Ham and Tad salty but overall everyone loved the product Pricing is a little steep though I must say. Horrible. We were regulars for five years. As usual, we ordered a pizza with double pepperoni plus mushrooms and olives. When we opened it at home there were no mushrooms. When we called the restaurant, the server said she thought we said "light mushrooms." Idiotic - plus she charged us full price for the imaginary "light mushrooms." Double idiotic. She did not offer any accommodation. Why would anybody ever order "light mushrooms" and if so why would they still be charged full price? We have not ordered from Buccaneer since. Im from NY. Pizza has to droop and you get a little oil on your hand. I find this pizza good, kind of too thick to my liking, but good. Toppings are fresh and sauce is very good. Another one of these spontaneous "Hey - I still need dinner, let's try this place out and order a pizza to pick up after I finished shopping at Ralphs" moments. I had been here before but I think it was Top Class Pizza, or First Class Pizza, something Class Pizza. I just remember I wasn't impressed before. I walked over, placed my order for 1 large pizza, paid ($23.00 so it's not cheap), and told them I'd be back to pick it up after I did a bit of shopping at Ralphs. I went to move my car to be just little closer, which was probably a mistake. I should have stayed in my stop near Ralphs, but I was being lazy and didn't want to carry the pizza that far. Well, between the bakery and the Chinese restaurants, there wasn't a spot to be found and people were jockeying for people to leave so lesson learned. I picked up the pizza and first thing I noticed it is was heavy!! Now you know you're getting some serious pizza when theirs some weight to it. Getting home, I was a little disappointed that the cheese had slid to one side. It's hard to keep a pizza flat when driving, especially in a hilly area like N Tustin Ave in Orange. I also like a little brown on the top of my cheese which usually solidifies it a little better on the crust. Not always, but I think it helps. Because the cheese moved, we have to recut the pizza to pull out the slices. Otherwise, the pizza was delicious! Loved the crust and also the sauce which had just enough kick for my taste. Absolutely disappointed. Ordered a pizza online and wasn't given an ETA for pick up. We called to confirm approximately 30 minutes later and was given a 30 minute ETA. Well we got there about 1HR after ordering and was told all Large pizzas were cancelled. They did not have the courtesy to say the order was cancelled nor did they offer any sort of compensation for wasting one hour of our time. I will not be supporting this spot any further and believe a place that doesn't have the courtesy to let you know your order was cancelled deservs your hard earned money. read more

Friday night we ordered our medium cheese pizza and cinnamon knots at 5:13pm, received the "out for delivery" e-mail at 6:02, called at 6:40 wondering where our pizza was and was told they only had one driver for the night and she was delivering 4 pizzas, received our pizza at 6:52. Pizza is ice cold, cheese is all hardened. Cinnamon knots are swimming in congealed butter and grease and cold. Management needs to figure out delivery. We have gone to this location multiple times food is hit or miss, service is the same. It's happened often that they forget to give us an item we ordered. Today was the last straw, they omitted one full item menu which meant one person in our party would not have dinner. When my husband went back to pick up the item they laughed at my husband for having to drive back! They never gave him a receipt which makes me think they are scamming customers. That actually told him to go to the back of the line to wait for the food that should have been ready 20 minutes earlier. We will not be coming back to this location ever again. Going back to Zitos. After supporting this business the past year, I will no longer be doing so. They are not honest about their delivery times and I have had several deliveries where a pizza was an hour or an hour and a half late. In addition to waiting excessive amounts of times to receive our deliveries, the last couple of pizzas were not even warm by the time they got here. Our usual from their original location in Santa Ana is the Wild Boar pizza. Which is AMAZING!! Today we were by this location and craving a meatball sandwich. From this day forward I will forever add pepperoncinis to my meatball sandwiches. It gives it a nice little kick. The one thing I wish it had more of was sauce. It was a bit dry for my liking. They took over First Class. Personally I like Buccaneeers. I used to go to their other location near Hart Park. The only thing I didn't like was the distance since First Class scratches the same "itch". All in all, this place is now the king pizza of the area. I rate this higher than Zitos. It's a good pizza. I'd go here or Zitos or Tony's in placentia for deep dish. read more

Since it became Buccaneer Pizza, I've tried to give it a chance, but the customer service at the Villa Park location has been very hit or miss, and the quality of the pizza is inconsistent. I've looked past pizzas that randomly might have a strange aftertaste (almost like cologne--whether it's from the box or cleaning supplies, I don't know), missing toppings that I paid for, and now they can't even accommodate a simple request for extra cheese on just half the pizza. I was told this isn't something they "do" and that I'd need a "special exception" for it, which is kind of ridiculous. I'm done giving this place chances and won't be returning. read more

First off, I loved First Class Pizza. Was really surprised and sad that this place took over but was willing to give it a try. We ordered online for delivery. I ordered a veggie pizza extra crispy thin crust. Sounded delicious. Um no. What a got was a soggy personal pizza. I'm not exaggerating. It was so soggy that was leaking through the bottom of the box. Also, the canned pineapple on top was the worst. These pizzas are not cheap. Then I remembered how I went to another location years ago and hated the pizza. This place sucks place and simple. Quality is worse than pizza hut. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I'm from orange and always went to first class. Never realized buccaneer had a location in orange. We always go to the santa Ana location and have the best service and food. This location is terrible. My husband went in about a mo th ago and the young lady at vp location was so rude. He said he never felt so rushed or disrespected by a food server ever. We were craving buccaneer for super bowl. Since his last issue, I decided I'd call in hopes I'd reach someone different. This time I was on hold for 19 minutes. They don't even answer the phone and say thank you for calling can you please wait. They pick up phone and immediately put you on hold. Very unprofessional. I waited 19minutes and not 1 time did someone come on the line. I hung up and called the santa Ana location, which has an answering machine that says thank you for calling someone will be with you momentarily. Which is professional. After waiting less than a minute Dana answered. I told her about the situation and she said although the might be busy because of super bowl which I'm understanding to but 19 minutes calling blindly, she agreed it was no excuse. She took my order and I'll be picking up in the next 30mins. Aside from buccaneer, this is terrible service and taking over the first class location, you'd think they'd want to keep up with service, needs and great customer service skills. Do better please because if someone had a simple question but making them wait without a hello, is a way to lose business and money. I guess we will stick to santa Ana location and continue driving 15miles for great service and pizza. read more
