Everything was delicious. The pizza had just the right amount of sauce and the bread was not too thick. Great fresh sauce flavor. The chicken parm was also so good. Heard the owners are from NY, so we decided to take a drive to check out this pizzeria. Well this place did not disappoint The pizza here is just like being in NY. The Sicilian (square) is the best I've had since moving to Florida. Other slices we tried were also some of the best. They make a grandma's pie which is hard to find outside of NY. Friday 9/13/2024 Once again, another spot that my cousin strongly recommends and praises but will it deliver in terms of expectations? We made a order over the phone and I got 12 ct bbq wings, grandma pizza slice, 6 ct garlic knots and a regular nyc style pizza 16". For some reason the pizza (& slice) got cold relatively quickly even though we got the pizza as soon as it was ready and it was only a 7 min drive to get back to house. - the grandma pizza slice was decent with a decent texture and it was easily better than the nyc style pizza. - The nyc style pizza 16" was alright with a soft texture but it was nothing that was special or impressive to me. - The garlic knots weren't bad but they were pretty average. - The bbq wings were pretty basic but they were alright. Stopped in this local pizza place for a late lunch. It's located in a strip shopping center in Wesley Chapel by the Grove, where there are now tons of restaurant options, but I always try to support local as much as possible. It's a small place with limited seating. A large party of 8 would definitely take half of the available seating. Their menu has lots of pizza options, but it also includes some appetizer and pasta choices, along with a couple of desserts. I decided on the penne ala vodka, one of my favorites. So I'm pretty picky about the sauce. OMG...first of all, I usually ask for extra sauce because, to me, dry pasta is not appealing. I forgot to make that request but found I didn't need to. The dish came with the perfect amount, coating each noodle with just enough. Secondly, I usually add garlic powder and parm cheese for a little more flavor, but after I took one bite, I found the pasta and sauce to have the perfect burst of flavors...creamy, tomatoey, oniony, garlicy heaven. No additional seasoning required! The dish also came with a few garlic knots, which allowed me to soak and eat up the extra delicious sauce. Next time, I would probably add a protein. The only downside to my meal was that they had limited beverage selections. They offer a few bottled soda, water, and beer selections. I'm someone who prefers to have a fountain soda with ice....but that certainly won't deter me from returning. I dropped in at a time when the restaurant wasn't too busy. The staff was friendly and service was quick. The table next to me ordered two large pizzas that looked absolutely tempting! I will definitely have to return to give that a try. Pros: The crust , sauce and cheese are a significant step up form the chains. I didnt feel as bloated after eating this compared to Papa Johns. They have Grandma Pizza - which is a square thin crust pizza which has a more robust sauce and sauce on top of cheese with fresh basil. From what Ive read, this is common n NY/NJ but not in FL. If you go , consider getting one of these (I got it on a previous visit) 4.5/5 They sell pizza by the slice as well as whole pizza. Cons: The jalapeno toppings on one of my pizzas had NO heat. Even Papa Johns blows it away. The pineapple was just ok. I think they're better with traditional toppings like pepperoni/olives etc. There is not a lot of dine in space inside. They have a few tables outside, but since FL is hot most of the time. They don't have as many specialty pizzas as Eddie and Sam's. I feel like in the last 5-6 years, Ive lost interest in pizza somewhat. Maybe bc most of the restaurants near me are the chains. Maybe because I've found more new cuisines that Im into more than when I was little and had it during TMNT soaked sleepovers? Who knows? I live near USF, so this is about 30 minutes away. While I like Fratelli's more than Papa Johns, It can get expensive for multiple pizzas a la Jet's. If you live near Wesley chapel and you are a high level pizza consumer, this is manna from heaven. read more

Thin and crispy crust, the sauce was perfect, and you can tell they use a good quality cheese. I also tried their garlic knots and they were absolutely delicious! Nice and soft with a good amount of garlic flavor. The man at the front was very nice. It wasn't too busy. I placed a phone order and my food was ready in 20 minutes. A Loaded cheesesteak was, for the first time in my 50+year life in eating cheesesteaks from a variety of places here in Fl but also when visiting in MD, living in PA but anywhere, theee worst! Not sure whether it was the bread or their choice of only mozzarella cheese (as they don't have options there for provolone or even American for that matter, according to the man who served me at the counter). Wow! ...I've always preferred mine w provolone cheese. That's never been a problem in prior establishments. But it was just tasteless and it actually included onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. I had to add mayo, lots of salt, pepper, and some oregano on my own. I have no idea how you can go that wrong with a cheesesteak. But it happened. I actually at one point thought I was losing my sense of taste and smell. But it was just a very bland sandwich and perhaps the roll was old. But more importantly, my experience there was less than warm. The guy behind the counter never once greeted me, but continue to talk to someone seated there who happen to also be a fellow employee. The place was otherwise empty. He asked me once how my food was and I told him it was "so so," and then after that, he seemed to have an even worse attitude. So service was poor. In fact when I left, I cleaned up after myself. One other person was seated in their eating and the guy never once acknowledged me again or said goodbye or "thank you" for coming. So, food and service were off...way off. I won't be back!! read more

Several years ago there used to be another pizza joint a few doors down in this strip mall. In my opinion Fratelli's Pizza and Cafe is a big step up. It's pretty easy to find New York style pizza around here, but finding a version that isn't mediocre is a different story. I stopped by Fratelli's to grab a pickup pizza this past Friday night after hearing from others in my neighborhood that they were the real deal. I am often leary of others stating "real NY pizza" because I am super picky about the dough. I am SOOOOO glad I gave Fratelli's a shot and ordered a large white pizza with spinach. This pizza was EXACTLY what I have been looking for....nice dough (not too thin), crispy crust with bubbles, plenty of ingredients on top and perfectly seasoned. I was so happy to pick up the box and feel the weight of this amazing pie. I need to go back and get another pie along with some garlic knots very soon!!! Staff was very courteous and working extra hard with tons of takeout orders from others supporting local business. Be prepared and respectful of their wait time as they are doing the best they can. My wait was an hour for Friday night dinnertime and it was beyond worth the wait. If you are looking for the real deal in a Wesley Chapel pizza place, you need to grab a slice or a pie here. 4.5 stars in my book. Not yet fully 5 stars. This Italian restaurant is frequently visit by movie stars who is Italian descendants. This tell their Italian food is close to Italian taste. It almost can said "it is like my mom cooking". For for Asian like me I cannot tell what is truly Italian food. I only can judge what is good on the table. We order the Fratelli Special pizza. It has pepperoni, sausage, meatball, mushroom, onion and black olives. We got the 12" pizza. The pizza was delicious and the ingredients is nice not like typical pizza. We also got the garlic knots. It is dry at the bottom with good garlic and cheese sprinkled all over. We also got the finger food an old bay wings. The owner was nice enough to give us extra three wings to make up the size is too small. If you have budget, or just one a slice of pizza ( they by slice too), or good Italian food. Killed it! If pizza making is a craft (and it is a craft), these guys are Master Craftsmen. The pizza is all about the toppings, but the dough is an unstated treasure. As I was finishing my first slice of white, and getting down to the crust, the warm, soft, chewy dough, with just enough crisp to say"Im not soggy and greasy; I'm freaking delicious!" I didn't want that slice to end...So I ordered a couple more! The wings were tender and juicy with the perfect crisp. Maybe could of used a bit more seasoning (but that's just a preference). I haven't had a pizza place that has been my go to place for along time. I am happy to say I found it!
