We love Mama's so much truly but yesterday was the last straw for me. We have always ordered our pizza to-go, and although it says it'll be ready in 30-45 minutes it's always an extra 20-30 minutes. But whatever, it's fine because the food is delicious. When we went to go pick up our order yesterday we told the lady at the to-go counter the name on the order and we were told "it'll be ready in a few minutes". After waiting 20 minutes, we experienced other orders come and go. It wasn't until my husband spotted our pizza in the warmer and realized it was sitting there all this time. I wasn't even upset about the fries and the lukewarm pizza. I wasn't even more upset that the employees passed by my husband several times and didn't care to ask if he was waiting on an order or get his name again to check if it was ready, even though the information was already provided when we arrived. What sweet people! I totally enjoyed my lunchtime visit. The restaurant is very cozy and inviting, with such a warm ambiance. You can feel the family touches. It's clearly a passion project for the owners-it shows and shines and is very welcoming. I'm still thinking about the amazing Mediterranean salad. Man it was good-those Kalamata olives and cucumbers. Ooo. That was tasty. The pizza was made with the freshest ingredients. I really liked the crusty edges. The menu is big and I spied lots of other things to try. They serve beer and wine, too-and even have a bar area. It's not a big place but it's nicely laid out Mama B's is in a little plaza, on the north side of SR 56, near the I-75 exit ramp. It's close to so many things, like Wiregrass Mall and the Outlets. The parking lot isn't huge, but it works. There's a cute little covered area out front, for outdoor dining. One of the gals added chicken to her salad and had this as her entree. Said it was good. One of the guys had pasta with Alfredo sauce and liked it, Not so good? They were out of garlic rolls. Also, The pizza. We ordered 3 different types. The "spicy"buffalo wasn't spicy. It was also dripping in oil and needed to be "blotted". The white pizza with added mushrooms was okay. Not many mushrooms. And the crust was rather hard. The other pizza was "the works". It was just okay -- mainly again because the crust was like out of a box. The best part of the evening? Completely disappointed at our favorite neighborhood pizza spot. I placed an order for a chicken pasta , 1 small pizza and 1 medium pizza at 550pm with a promised time for pick up at 638pm. I arrived and it seamed like the pasta was the only thing ready. Long story short I stood there ( 28 weeks pregnant) for over an hour while they told me it was coming up soon. No one apologized, offered me a water or anything. I then got frustrated as I saw so many people coming in and grabbing their orders right away. When I went back up to the counter to question what was going on with my order, they could not give me a straight answer at all. The owner was standing right there and continued to ignore my conversation with the poor cashier girl. First they said my order got mixed up, then they said they decided to just remake it on their own? No idea, so I demanded a refund and the owner Chuck, did not even apologize and just told the cashier girl in an aggressive tone, just comp it. Did not even look me in the eye, or apologize. I wanted to walk away so badly but instead, I waited another 15 minutes to take my cold pasta and my two remade pizzas. Hopefully I check my credit card statement and see a refund within the next couple days, if not, I will be going back up there to speak to them. read more

We've been a loyal Mama B's customer since they first opened, but the quality has noticeably changed over the past six months. Don't order the garlic knots. We used to order them every time, so we know their normal size. The last three orders were closer to mini knots (think small donut holes) --about one-third of what they used to be. It honestly felt like a rip-off. Something has clearly changed, whether it is the supplier, ingredients, recipe, or portion size. Mama B's needs to pay attention before regular customers start leaving one by one. We would gladly accept a modest price increase instead of lower quality and smaller portions. Will still give them 3 stars, as we enjoy the service and the environment is great. read more

Mama B's is consistently very good to outstanding on most dishes. Because they are so good, they tend to stay very busy on the weekends. Be prepared for a wait. It's worth it. The crust of their cheese pie is perfect. The sauce is perfect. Not too sweet, not too bitter. The tomatoes really do the talking. I've yet to dine in, but the smell of garlic and pizza cooking greets you on the patio. The inside is compact but people are always dining in and smiling contentedly. Check the menu to find out just how much care goes into selecting the ingredients for their menu. This is a tough one to write. I had high expectations. Here is why: My bestie was visiting from Ohio this past weekend and she wanted Pizza on Friday night. I checked Yelp and ended up at Mama Bs. This guy in a white jacket told us to come to the back of the place to place our order. Cool. I let him know it was our first time. He offered nothing. No suggestions. Nothing. We looked at the menu and both picked a lunch special. I got the one slice with a sale and drink. My friend got 2 slices with a drink. He took our order and we noticed that he was serving us Cheese Pizza. My friend was interested in trying a slice of pepperoni. So I asked. He told us no because he had already put the slices in the oven to heat them up. Hmmm. Interesting. He made no effort to accommodate. Fine. We got our cups for our drinks. I tried the sprite. It tastes like club soda. Even followed the instructions. Still no sprite. I tried the unsweetened iced tea. It sprayed everywhere. So I got the Mr Pibb. lol. Food came. And Womp Womp. Totally disappointed. Like what were we seeing that Friday before? Where was the yummy smell? We also got the Garlic Knots. They came out looking good. But they were not hot and they were not good at all. We felt so deceived. What we saw the Friday before was smoking mirrors. And the horrible service made it all even worse. I went there earlier today with my friend and we walked in, and we had never been there before so we were unsure of how things worked. No one greeted us and we walked around aimlessly and then finally someone from the back came to us and grabbed menus and started at us for like 30 seconds not saying anything giving us a rude look and did a hand gesture to move. Seems take out is a bigger business than dining in. We ordered and they give you a number to put on the table then the food is delivered to your table, we ordered the mozzarella sticks. We originally wanted fried ravioli but that ran out. The mozzarella were in a semi circle shape, lots of mozzarella and great marinara sauce on the side. The pizza well that's a bit different. We asked about the crust and were told it was New Jersey style? It was supposedly pan style. For us it was not . The crust was good on the edge of the pizza. What makes this place practically 5 star worthy? Mama B herself! This savvy business woman knows how to work the room! I believe that the place is jam-packed because of her social skills. She ensures EVERY table is happy and serves to lead (does that make sense?) Every time I've visited, she is either behind the bar serving drinks or bringing food to tables. And if something isn't right, she makes sure it's a quick fix. Thank you, Mama B, for your hospitality! The pizza is excellent as well. My favorite is the smoky pig (that's not the exact name, but it's pig something). It is dressed with bbq sauce, pulled pork, and red onions. The penne alla vodka is creamy and has a good balance of sweet with the addition of peas in the sauce. Good selection of wines and beer on tap completes the meal.
