The crust of their cheese pie is perfect. The sauce is perfect. Not too sweet, not too bitter. The tomatoes really do the talking. I've yet to dine in, but the smell of garlic and pizza cooking greets you on the patio. The inside is compact but people are always dining in and smiling contentedly. For the first time since we've ordering Mama B's, our pizza was ready on time! Mostly because it was a random day in the middle of the week but it still made us so happy. And yes we'll continue to go back to Mama B's even if our pickup orders have never been ready during its estimated time because we love it that much. We had a family dinner here. We sat outside. Service was good. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The good: the Caesar salad had a nice garlicky dressing and crunchy croutons. One of the gals added chicken to her salad and had this as her entree. Said it was good. One of the guys had pasta with Alfredo sauce and liked it, Not so good? They were out of garlic rolls. The pizza we got was very undercooked and soggy. And I ordered a gluten-free option for myself. That was actually much better than the regular pizza but very disappointed that I was charged $26 for a personal size gluten-free pizza. This is a tough one to write. I had high expectations. Here is why: My bestie was visiting from Ohio this past weekend and she wanted Pizza on Friday night. I checked Yelp and ended up at Mama Bs. Walking in it was busy. The smell was amazing. We just knew we made it to the right place. However our hopes were taken away because they were busy and to go orders would have taken about 2 hours. No problem. We decided we would go back. Full of excitement we went today for lunch. Walked in place was empty. It was around 1pm. No problem. This guy in a white jacket told us to come to the back of the place to place our order. Cool. I let him know it was our first time. He offered nothing. No suggestions. Nothing. We looked at the menu and both picked a lunch special. I got the one slice with a sale and drink. My friend got 2 slices with a drink. He took our order and we noticed that he was serving us Cheese Pizza. My friend was interested in trying a slice of pepperoni. So I asked. He told us no because he had already put the slices in the oven to heat them up. Hmmm. Interesting. He made no effort to accommodate. Fine. We got our cups for our drinks. I tried the sprite. It tastes like club soda. Even followed the instructions. Still no sprite. I tried the unsweetened iced tea. It sprayed everywhere. So I got the Mr Pibb. lol. Food came. And Womp Womp. Totally disappointed. Like what were we seeing that Friday before? Where was the yummy smell? We also got the Garlic Knots. They came out looking good. But they were not hot and they were not good at all. We felt so deceived. What we saw the Friday before was smoking mirrors. And the horrible service made it all even worse. A tad confusing as there is an eating area and bar but people waiting by the "order here" sign. We stayed in line for awhile but realized the people in line were waiting for take out orders. Seems take out is a bigger business than dining in. We ordered and they give you a number to put on the table then the food is delivered to your table, we ordered the mozzarella sticks. We originally wanted fried ravioli but that ran out. The mozzarella were in a semi circle shape, lots of mozzarella and great marinara sauce on the side. The pizza well that's a bit different. We asked about the crust and were told it was New Jersey style? It was supposedly pan style. For us it was not . The crust was good on the edge of the pizza. The rest of the pizza crust was very thin and undercooked. For us it lacked sauce too. We prefer more to the crust even a pan tossed and cooked through. Maybe it was an off day. read more

What makes this place practically 5 star worthy? Mama B herself! This savvy business woman knows how to work the room! I believe that the place is jam-packed because of her social skills. She ensures EVERY table is happy and serves to lead (does that make sense?) Every time I've visited, she is either behind the bar serving drinks or bringing food to tables. And if something isn't right, she makes sure it's a quick fix. Thank you, Mama B, for your hospitality! The pizza is excellent as well. My favorite is the smoky pig (that's not the exact name, but it's pig something). It is dressed with bbq sauce, pulled pork, and red onions. The penne alla vodka is creamy and has a good balance of sweet with the addition of peas in the sauce. Good selection of wines and beer on tap completes the meal. First...if you like garlic knots, these will make you love them! They are swimming in garlic butter and are soft and delicious! I enjoyed the fresh made lasagna to complement the knots. It was saucy, packed with sausage and topped with just the right amount of cheese. I couldn't have been happier unless the couple next to me had offered up a slice of their hot, cheesy pizza which looked amazing as well. No, I did NOT snatch a slice off their pan but I wouldn't say it didn't cross my mind! LOL. I noticed large pies and enormous calzones delivered around the restaurant feeding families. This is the spot if you really want pasta! Was really craving something delicious and when I was looking at their dishes everything was looking good! I went with the Gnocchi which is usually my go to pasta but what I wasn't expecting was the flavor. I have never had it with Alfredo sauce before so I was curious. It was delicious! We've ordered from here a couple of times and they were great until this last time. The pizza slices are HUGE but the flavor wasn't the best. Not sure what happened because we were fond of it that's why we returned. They are fast and convenient because it's on an intersection where there's a lot of traffic. Crust was very chewy, the right balance of high gluten flour and they must've known to chill the water before adding which being from the Philadelphia area the only way good pizza dough is started) , not too thin and not too thick. Ingredients tasted fresh and were plentiful for once ! Could be perceived as a little pricey for a personal pizza but it lasted three days of lunches and it was really fresh ingredients so I'm thrilled. Anymore you open a box and yo I can count the timings on one hand and they look old / canned /frozen. Definitely will be back to try more!
