I had eggplant Parmesan with a small salad and thought both were very good, loved the house dressing. I also ordered a Margherita pizza so I could have food to take home for others to try. The food was good- a great option for pizza if you want something specialized. The day that we went, though, the computers were down and they could only accept cash. We tried to order three things off the menu that they were out of. Our server did not seem happy that he had to wait on us- it was uncomfortable. This food is so fricken amazing in every way. Just like the old country. They even sell products from Italy I haven't seen since my great grandmother's pantry. Ok yeah its out the way, but u get to visit water street (old town henderson) which is a great experience! The food was fresh and authentic super tasty too! We got slices 3 of cheese pizza with fresh basil and garlic knots. The fresh basil added a nice touch to my pizza. The garlic knots were so good and not oily like most places! The dipping marinara was so yummy too. The ambiance was nice and homey. Has a laid back chill vibe ,just like a pizza joint in NYC. The best part was the service! Our waiter Dino who is Italian, was by far the most wonderful person ive come across and waiter lol Ive been to many places high end and all, and i have never gotten such good service like i did here today! Visited for the first time today for lunch. Great service. Excellent Pizza and desserts. We will definitely return.

I stopped by on the way home from work and ordered enough food to last us most of the long weekend. The dough was great. It's NY style, just chewy enough, flavorful, not too thick. The toppings (and fillings for the calzone) were added in just the right amount. Of course, the garlic knots were yummy too, but I especially loved the sauce. Everything was baked perfectly. We had a few bites of the Jamaican beef patty to try it out. The meat was well spiced and I can't wait to try it reheated tomorrow. (If it works like I think, I'll buy more and freeze them.) I drank Peroni as I waited. They have a few types of beer Stella was another (also one I love) and a sign said "We now have wine" though I didn't ask which types. Service was good and it seemed like a friendly, family atmosphere. They also have a few groceries for sale like pasta, sauce, peppers... I would have bought the cream soda, but I was already carrying too much to the car. The only thing I would do differently is ask if they have blue cheese for the Buffalo chicken. read more

Got excited about this place from the reviews so I tried it and got a large pepperoni and was extremely disappointed. The crust was chewy and cheese bubbled and abit too salty. Like old dough. :( The wings were over done like frozen wings and the cannoli tasted processed from a box. Ive tried some amazing pizza and from 1-10 this place gets a 2 1/2. Still ate 2 slices since we were so hungry but nothing more. Would not recommend this place. Might as well go to Costco pizza. read more

Found my new lunch spot! Now, I work right on Water Street and there has been an influx of new restaurants that are clawing for my business and to be honest, they seem to have bigger and greedier claws than Fratelli's. For that reason, it took me awhile to give them a try but when I went the other day for lunch, not only was my pizza craving satisfied, I think I found my go to spot on Water Street for lunch. We went early and it wasn't crowded but as soon as I sat down, every other table filled up, which, yeah, definitely a good sign. I ordered a small meat lover's pizza and a side of fries. The fires came out first and were honestly some of the best fries I have had in a while; I easily could've gotten the larger size and demolished them all. The meat lover's pizza was perfectly cooked, full of quality ingredients, and was a good size. The owner was also our server and would have fun little conversations with us which was nice. I will definitely be going back for some lunches. read more

Went in around 6pm on a Saturday night after we heard that this pizza was "punch your dad and brother good". I ended up only getting a slice since I wasn't too hungry. The woman who took my order was super friendly and had the perfect New York accent. The slices are pretty big and reasonably priced. Took them about 5 mins to heat it up in the oven and then I was off. This is New York style pizza so think thin/bendy crust. My cheese slice was sooooo tasty. The dough is good and fluffy. The cheese had actual flavor. I don't know that I'd punch someone for pizza, but I'm excited to come back to try the garlic knots, a full pizza, and the rice balls! read more

The old man who took my order was a real D bag. I go in with another person with me, after hearing someone recommend the cheese sticks here. We go I'm ordering & ask what's in the penne Ala vodka. With rude gesturing the old man gets flustered & says "idk!!! There's meat in there." I said oh ok i won't do that. I like my penne aka vodka with sauce shallots & cheese. Just plain. But he went on to say "you can't even eat anything here then" I said well what about the Alfredo He said Oh? With a dumbfounded look on his face. He said nothing is home made & it all comes prepackaged. So you cannot adjust orders. Which to me is disgusting. I order a Alfredo with no garnish. Came with garnish. & the waiter "forgot" our drinks for 20 mins. I think he just hates being there & hates doing his job. This place sucks. The food was horrible My pasta tastes so wrong. There was no Parmesan in the sauce. Tasted like jarred glue. Seriously so nasty The pizza came out burned. I started laughing because i had to realize Wow we have to pay for this bullshit? Wouldn't recommend Nothing is authentic. Nothing is fresh. The attitude is the freshest thing there. Towards the end of our gross meal service.
