I love Fred Meyers. My favorite thing to do when I'm shopping is to swing by the women's clothes and pick up a new outfit.

I like this store. Except for the electric grocery carts which I ride to get around the store. They are often not charged sufficient to let me finish my shopping. Or simply dead. Please get new ones! read more

Because I do most grocery shopping at Freddie's, when I'm in this area doing a Costco run, I stop in for essentials. Because each Freddie's footprint is different, I'm often struggling to find my way around this store, but do manage to pick up what I need. I asked he receiver if I could speak with another receiver while I was shopping to help me with a purchase. The receiver Heather was so rude!! Snapped at me, rude and then told me the receiver I was asking about was fired and told me why. I was in shock! One you are not aloud to tell why someone left their job good or bad. Asking for a law suit there and to be so rude! This Fred Meyers has gone down hill .... Not good!! The receiver Heather needs to be let go! Rude doesn't know what customer service is and above all be kind because you have a job and we pay for your wage because we shop here. I cannot believe they have this woman employed here. Used to think highly of this store. I need to rethink this now. It's just I live here in happy valley so it's easy and convenient. Fred Meyer, enough is enough. Your bottle‑return system is a joke. We stand there wasting our time because every single coupon has to be "verified" by management, and half the time there aren't even enough employees on duty to handle it. That's on you -- you don't staff properly, you don't pay people enough to stay, and customers end up paying for it with our time. Fix it. Hire more people. Ugh, Fred Meyer is usually your one stop shopping utopia. We went in needing 3 items, came out with nothing. The store appears to be the same size as all the others but besides food and clothes the selection is very limited. We need pavers or stepping stones, but they had none, and we need a tension rod......usually can be found anywhere but they don't carry any curtain related items. What more can I say, it is a supermarket It is not the Taj Mahal. The store is clean and fairly well stocked with a lot of variety and all different types of stock. Help is limited and slow. One pet peeve I have with all these places they never have any cashiers and everything's gotta be self check but try to find someone to help you if you have an issue is another story. This store is good in some ways, but its customer service is bad. Today Sunday I went to shop early to avoid a crowd later. I spent a half hour filling my basket with things that I wanted to buy. Then I went to check out. I sometimes use the self-service checkout if I have only a few things to buy. But I usually encounter problems with things ringing up for higher prices than are marked on the shelves. It takes time to wait for someone to resolve that. I wanted a checker today because I was going to buy a lot of things. There was one checker at checkout line number 13, but there were five people in line and they all had large shopping carts filled with products. I saw another checker at about line number 2, so I went there, but she had a sign up saying closed. I asked another employee can't they open a second checker line. She said no, but you can be helped on the self-service machines. I reluctantly went there. I rung up a few things, then the next thing was a lighter that the sign said was on sale for $2.79, but it rung up as $6. No one was offering help, so I went to the man behind the counter at the front of the store, and asked if he could provide a checker to open another line. He said we have two, but one had to go the the bathroom. The logical thing to do in that situation would be to assign another checker to fill in while the employee went to the bathroom. But no, they cannot do that, even though there appeared to be about a half dozen other employees wandering around near the front of the store. They are adding more self-service machines to teach the customers how to be trained monkeys so that they have to pay fewer staff. Fred would not have done that, but he is gone bought out by Kroger. I left the store and the things I wanted to buy in the self checkout area. Another problem area is the outdoor recycle return area. The machines are often not working. Sometimes it is closed for unexplained reasons. It is usually supposed to open at 8 AM, and if you push the service call button, you may be lucky if someone comes out by 8:30 AM to start the machines. read more

I no longer buy products from Fred Meyer, because of the bait and switch demeanor demonstrated by their layers of customer no service. This follows our use of their shop at home delivery service failing to deliver the full order we were charged for and the driver performing a hit and run after destroying a flower vase with her car. It also appeared that the driver possibly took or had eaten some items after weighing the items at home. All of this remains culpable as an Oregon Unlawful Trade Practices violation and consumer financial fraud. So instead of wasting any more of our time, we stopped buying products from Fred Meyer and shop elsewhere. FYI: Walmart's shop at home and pick-up service has remained outstanding. read more

I have been a customer here since they opened but I have to say after my last trip I won't be shopping here anymore. We are in the middle of a pandemic and there are rules and guidelines in place. This location doesn't care. Walk in the entrance and 3 employees at the cart sanitation station. All about 2 feet apart, chatting and hanging out. I'm unsure if any carts were cleaned, I didn't see any. No effort to manage how many customers were in the store. Ok fine, I have sanitizer and a mask. I'll just grab what I need and go. Head to the isle I needed to be met by 2 employees stocking the shelf. They were also chatting closely. They have a large cart so the space in the isle is really limited, this was also in the middle of the day on Sunday. I sort of stood there waiting to see if they will pause and let me grab my groceries, they don't. I made eye contact and still nothing. I try to time my grab for when they are getting something off the cart and they just start reaching past me. No more than maybe a foot between us. I saw several other employees squeezing between customers too. Lots of large carts constricting the space in the isles and way too many people trying to get past and around. Then at the register (which was the only good attempt I saw in the store) I overheard an employee who sounded like a manager. I asked him if he was and he was really happy to engage me even though he admitted he wasn't a manager. I decided to ask him to pass along my concerns and as I started to explain HE TURNED HIS BACK ON ME AND JUST WALKED AWAY! I then decide that's it, I'm definitely talking to a manager. I asked for one, another employee approached me and claimed to be a manager. I tell him about my experiences and he starts looking away and is almost rolling his eyes. His body language is that of someone who does not want to talk to you but can't walk away. He points out that they are supposed to have someone on the floor enforcing the rules. (Yeah, I know, that's why I'm talking to you). That was it, that was the extent of him "helping". I am SO disappointed, I really liked this location. There are so many other stores doing a great job, I'll be patronizing their establishments. read more

Customer service in the deli is nonexistent. Because the health department was there they decided they didn't have to help customers. Many people walking around no one even acknowledge and you were there. One person that works there that is exceptional is I believe her name is Katrina, she used to work at Starbucks. This isn't a one time thing the service there is horrible. This gas station... my goddddd... I am now going on 15 minutes sitting here. The car in front of me wasn't being helped for the longest time along with half the cars here... the older workers kind of aimlessly walk around and the younger ones stand and talk and joke. Not to mention they're extremely unprofessional and rude. I've heard certain employees yelling at each other for "not helping." Right now a gentleman is helping me who is probably 60+.. he can barely move between cars, he's struggling to grab keys from customers and he can't really speak.. I feel so bad he's working here when clearly he's struggling. The store itself is also disappointing. I was recently on the hunt for a curtain rod so I figured why not go to Fred Meyer, they have everything? Nope. At the Sunnyside Fred Meyer gas station is the most rude and argumentative fuel person I've ever encountered. His name was David and is an old man. I am a foreigner woman with limited verbal English skills. I had help writing this review. David was very rude to me and yelled at me for not understanding how to pump my own gas and not understanding his way of speaking. The more I needed help the louder he got and he only yells out a few words at a time. Everytime I've encountered him I've had a bad experience. He should have simply talked to me to explain. I hate self check out. I had two products to buy. One was alcohol so I needed an attendant. It took a while to get them there. Then it said I didn't ring up my one other item but I did. Then it complained I didn't ring it up. It needed an attendant to come again. For TWO items. Wtf. I put my card in and paid and the lady came running after me saying I didn't pay. Well I did. And ya know what if I made a mistake it's BECAUSE I DONY WORK THERE!!! I hate you don't have enough staff. I hate you cut union jobs for this bullshit. Fuel Center at all FM are terrible but this one has to be the worst. Zero stars if possible. They do not fill across cars so nearly half the pumps are not used. They only staff 2 people and it can easily take 10 min to have the nozzle removed after fueling is complete. Only one person has access to cash so the whole station stops while the cash attendant allows access to the non-cash attendant to use cash. Two of the three times I have been there the attendant has jammed the nozzle into the side of the car and missed the fill hole. I had to just laugh the last time as it was possible we were being filmed for a prank show. Pay a little more, save your sanity and go elsewhere. read more

I am writing a review about a Fred Meyer store. Whoppee. But it's a review about a Fred Meyer store in Happy Valley ... and it's pretty much brand spanking new. Now that's more like it. A Fred Meyer store can easily be a 3. With pricing a tad below that of Safeway, and its having sections for clothing, hardware items, toys, furnishings, and whatnot, it's not a bad marketing niche to occupy. It's next to impossible for a Fred Meyer store to be a 5, though, at least in my opinion. I will say that this new Fred Meyer store easily gets 4 stars. The location, sort of the centerpiece of a new shopping center with a substantial amount of parking, is very nice. The store itself is appealing on various levels - for being spacious, well laid out, and nicely finished. The usual Fred Meyer variety is there and there are always some specials or coupon items in effect. (What I won't buy here is deli meats, for which Safeway and Winco do a better job in terms of pricing). Then, with it being a new store and having a good vibe, the employees do as well. I remember when Sunnyside Road was a two lane road built out to about S.E. 135th or S.E. 140th, with mostly berry farms beyond that. Now, this road gives some meaning and punch to the concept of the Sunnyside Corridor, through which Sunnyside Road, with 3 lanes in each direction (as many lanes as the Bruckner Expressway in The Bronx and the Van Wyck Expressway in Queens) is the main artery. Sort of amazing when you think about that ... and this huge new Fred Meyer store and development way out east where it meets S.E. 172th. read more

The NICEST Fred Meyer I have ever been too. They have a bar to fill growlers right by the wine and cheese section. My husband finally loves to come grocery shopping with me! Jk he loves to sit and have a few beers while I do the shopping which totally works for me! The store is always clean and usually has about 10 registers open plus self check. Overall I think it's a great addition to the neighbor hood and keeps me from traveling all the way into Portland. read more

My GF and I called over to the deli at 5pm on 11/21 to ask if the sushi bar was still open. The gentlemen said they were until 6pm. So we went over to order sushi bar at 5:40pm and asked the Asian lady if we could order sushi. She said no and pointed towards the deli. So I asked one of the guys working at the deli and he went over and talked to the Asian lady and she said she wouldn't and was too busy. Are you kidding me? Gave this place another try. Came here and bought 2 screaming eagle sandwiches. The avocado that they used was so hard and not ripe you could've chipped a freaking tooth. One stop shopping! This is one of the newer Fred Meyer locations that has opened up in Sunnyside/ Happy Valley. Situated right off of 172nd and Sunnyside you will find this new shopping center. There is plenty of parking in the front or side of the building. The store is practically brand new and very well maintained. They also have a Fred Meyer Gas station located on the side of the store. It is nice that the gas station is a little bit away from the store. This helps with traffic and makes way for more parking spots. The full service deli here is great and the food well prepared. We love the Starbucks that is also inside the store. The produce is always fresh and they have a wide selection of fruits and vegetables. In addition, just like other Fred Meyers you will find this is a one stop shopping place with electronics, clothing, household items. The price is competitive and the people here are very friendly and always helpful. We are fans to say the least! read more

Super disappointed today when entering Fred Meyer. It seemed like almost half the shoppers were not wearing masks when clearly its stated that masks are mandated and required when entering. If there was a negative star option... This is the absolute WORST pharmacy I have ever experienced. They are SO SLOOOOOW, it's obscene. I came to pick up a prescription 3 times, only to get in line and leave in frustration after waiting for 30+ minutes with the line barely inching along. On the 4th time (after waiting in line for only 20min this time--made a special trip at 2pm on my day off just to beat the rush hour lines) I reached the cashier and they had put back the prescription. The new wait I was told would be 35 minutes, so I waited for a text for readiness......... the text came 16hours or so later. Thank god I didn't wait or go browsing in the store. And guess where I am right now? Waiting in line again, because I don't have a nearby option for a pharmacy that doesn't waste my time. The 70+ year old woman behind me just said she has been here 3x over the last 3 days, but each time was too discouraged by the wait to pick up a potentially life saving medicine?!?!?! What are we doing here people?! The line is literally out the door. Have I mentioned the 3 separate occasions over the last 2 years when they literally RAN OUT of my prescription? Of course you have to wait 30+ minutes in line to find that out. You'd think that after remodeling literally last year that the place would have built a space that could accommodate the demand? Anyone with me here? Yup... still waiting. We have so many better things to do with our time than wait in line at the flipping pharmacy. The cashiers are nice, but they are tired. The Clackamas Fred Meyer is an "upscale" location, complete with a (lousy) sushi bar and wine bar. These seem to be more of a joke than an attraction. The prices are famously high, but it is in a convenient location. The one big surprise here is the staff. They're all genuinely and sincerely friendly and helpful, with rare exception. read more

I live close to this store. When they first opened, they seemed eager to help people. Now the service has been turning for the worst!!! The gas station is the slowest!!! There is hardly anyone in the bakery. I asked staff if there was someone that can help me. They just answered a straight NO. This is a beautiful store. The checkers are, for the most part, friendly. However, I am very unimpressed by the majority of the staff on the floor, mostly the younger staff. If they aren't on their phones they are standing in the way talking to each other, often talking badly about other employees. They seem to go out of their way to ignore customers, if not glare in their direction before going on with their conversation. Last, I will never understand why Fred Meyer allows employees to sit out front and smoke. Very disappointing. read more

Today I went in to shop and counted 8 employees either not wearing their mask correctly (nose hanging out) or no mask at all! Correct mask wearing is required for us to stay in phase 2 re-opening. Next week even customers are going to have to wear masks so Fred Meyers needs to do better! read more
