I can't say anything for the previous reviews, seems like they were from quite a while ago. My fiancé and I recently went in for rings and were helped right away with friendly customer service. I wish I could remember her name, but she's was very kind and helpful. As someone who knows NOTHING about jewelry, it was nice getting her input and expertise. If you lose a stone, they replace it for free. If you need it sized, they do it for free. If something breaks, they fix it for free. I find it humerous yet annoying I went into this establishment and payed for a men's bracelet for over $145 and a protection plan for$45 and a few weeks later find the same bracelet wholesale on EBAY for $10 ordered from China..I asked why so expensive and they told me because it's stainless steel with carbon fiber...okay sounds fancy...Hmm, okay..My fault for not checking around, kinda feeling ripped off but it was a birthday gift...well...We know where their jewelry comes from...I need to get in this business...buy wholesale for$10 and sell at fine jewelry for$190...what a bargain, lol read more

First of all just don't walk into this store for any reason!!! ANY REASON!!! I have worked in the Retail Jewelry world for a number of years. I know Smarmy sales people and these folks are the worst they really do make your skin crawl after you deal with them for a few moments... rude, arrogant, stupid commission driven nasty smarmy sales people. I walked in with 3 Antique, collectable, Longine's Diamond and Gold watches. I wasn't dressed to the nine's just jeans and no I wasn't wearing my diamond ring or my custom made diamond bracelet. (hey I worked alot of years for those pieces so no I am not self entitled) These sales people seem to want to judge the people coming into their store and choose to look down on all of them. (((Come on kid's your working at Fred Meyers Jewelers!!!))) In Lynnwood!!! Not Ben Bridge in the Mall or downtown. Not Tiffany's or Cartier! Get over your self's and learn basic customer service! I asked to see the watch band display to check what sizes I needed for new watch bands. This tall silvered hair lady starts to say "the watch maker is in" One of the other sales people correct her so that she takes me to the bands. They don't have the old fashion display that features the watch band sizes. This women they starts rifling through this ugly, clear vinyl bag over her shoulder stuffed with all sorts of I don't know what. She finally finds her watch band sizer wheel (at this point I am not trusting this women at all!!!) She grabs at my watches... Now I really don't like it when some person grabs 3500.00-4000.00 dollars worth of my gold watches that took me years to own like they are nothing. I dont think she had the faintest idea what she was handling let alone how to handle them. Yes in the jewelry business I would have put out a velvet tray and placed them on it. NOT AT FRED MEYERS JEWELERS!!! She measures on by herself and then takes the other two to the watch maker. He looks me over and gives her they eye.. The sales lady bends over to whisper something in his ear. He tell me one watch is larger then the others. She comes back and I ask her to have him double check her measurements. Miss thing was not happy with me at all. Several days later the bands that I had ordered came in.. I took them back (OK call me stupid!) Handed them to the idiot watch maker. He looks at them and says one has a band he cant get off! He didn't like it when I reminded him he had worked on the band at one time. Then you can see he just down want to help me. Well the gold is to soft and I don't want to try and put the bands off. And then just bushes the watches over to me on top of the glass counter. Like they where Timex knock off's. Well at that point I went home. Ordered a watch tool kit and did them all my self. No problems. I feel like taking them all back in with the bands in place and tell him next time he see's a gold watch and gold and diamond watch maybe he should up his game and service!! They all should. Now if you want great service by a skilled and talented watch maker go to the Ballard store.. There is a Russian gentlemen who was trained in old school watch repair. He saves one watch for me sometime back and has worked on and cleans these watches since my experience in Lynnwood. Thank God I didnt need any major work done on any of the watches and let him try. I took my antique silver ring to be repaired, there was just a small crack on the band. Before giving them the ring we mentioned the ring was an antique and very fragile silver. They took it to the back to examine it and came back with the ring in two pieces saying "we don't know what happened" with their BS excuse, we asked if they could repair it and they said no. wow, just wow. read more

I came to lynnwood Fred Meyer Jewelers to get a ring's stone replaced from another jewelry. The stone was odd shaped but Olivier would not give up and was able to get it done for me at a price I could afford. This ring was my nieces. It had her name and birth stone and her dad's name and stone. Her dad was killed last May so this ring meant so much. Thank you Olivier for not taking the time and not giving up. I recently got engaged, on Christmas eve to be exact. A few days later my fiance and I were walking into Fred Meyer when he said "I should go in there and tell the manager of the jewelry dept that I found a better ring and should thank her for rushing me out" he then explained it all to me, he had been with one of the jewelers for about 30 minutes when the manager came over and asked him if was about done deciding as they had other customers waiting. I was and still am appalled at this. You're buying a ring that someone will cherish for the rest of their lives, you want it to be perfect! You can't make a decision in 30 minutes. FM jewelry dept. The Fred Meyer in Shoreline had a really good jewelry department, until they closed it. I went to the next closest, Lynnwood, for a repair to my gold necklace. I wish I didn't. The customer service is really lacking. When I went to pick up my necklace, it looked like it would break again immediately. I asked them to send it back to the repair person, they tried to convince me that it was just fine. For $99.00 I think I should feel confident in the repair. They sent it back and the repair person built it up some, but I'm still not happy about the price. I wish I had gone to Ben Bridge or anywhere else. I will never ever be back to this place. Recently I had gone to have my wedding/engagement ring soldered together. Upon picking it up a few days later, I was excited and did not notice what a terrible job they been done! So I returned the next day. I asked them to take a look at it. The two rings were not aligned, were carelessly offset... they also soldered the them backwards from what I had originally asked. I figured it was a simple task, and would be a breeze for any jeweler. This was not the case. Sadly, the store clerk was not very kind in receiving my feedback. Hastily assuring it would be fixed. A few days later, I went to pick it up. This time, they aligned them, and soldered them on the correct side. I was happy. Unfortunately on the following day, while I was washing my hands, I noticed that they did not remove some the old soldering residue from before. I also noticed there was large scratch mark on that same side. This is saddening, because my rings means a lot to me, and I trusted them to do a simple thing. A basic jewelers skill, or so I thought. The Residue and scratches were not hard to see. It can be seen clearly without magnification. It's frustrating that someone who can't solder or simply doesn't care, has done this my rings. I would give zero stars for this, if I could. It was Clear the jeweler DOES NOT care about their job or our jewelry. With the pride that Fred Meyers boasts, I am disappointed to say, I will not be doing business with FM Jewelers again. I would caution, and be sure if you choose to have them do anything, you are clear on what you expect, and what you want from them. Take note of the original condition, and inspect it assuring you're satisfied with what is done. I wouldn't want it happening to someone else. read more

Melissa and Bruce went above and beyond and made up for a terrible experience at FMJ snohomish station. I went in to put in a repair for the 2nd time in 6 weeks (previous work done in snohomish) and walked out with a brand new necklace. The lifetime warranty really paid off and the customer service was spectacular. I laughed and smiled the entire time I was in the store. The watch with tax $ 285, & warranty, paid for it 5 months on lay away. Less than 90 days watch stopped working, brought it back, with receipt, they could not find our purchase connected to our name. I've never had any issues with any Fred Meyer Jewelers before, but this store, for whatever reason makes me feel like you drop off your stuff for repairs or sizing that never actually get done. I'm now going on my THIRD drop off of my wedding set for repairs to 2 loose stones in the center, and one stone that fell out that they didn't replace even though the work order said to replace the stone. I also had my set sized down at the beginning of 2015. I was concerned we chose ¼ size too small (they don't do ¼ sizes, and I ideally want 4¼ ) at a 4, but the representative said wedding sets usually size bigger than the sample sizers at the store. When I got it back, it at least fit on my finger, but after wearing it a week, it felt like it did before, too loose. When it's cold (and remember, this is the PNW) I've almost flung it off. I have the lifetime guarantee plan, and follow it best as possible, but I'm now going to have gone three weeks without my set because of the questionable work. I'm going to question everything this time around until I start getting people who take responsibility. If it's not the store, and it is in fact the repair facility, they are negligent. A waste of my time, and their own since they have to keep repairing. read more

This review is concerning the sales associate that helped my fiance and I purchase my wedding bands (yes, I got 2!!!). His name is Jebidiah and works at the alderwood mall location. Not only did he have a genuine interest in my engagement ring's unique setting, but he helped us find the perfect bands to compliment it without overshadowing or covering up the diamonds on the side of my setting. We could have easily purchased a wrap that was not as good, but with his help and creativity we were able to work out the perfect option. He was friendly and not pushy at all, even though we ended up walking out with what felt like a (good) impulse buy, and were only there for around 30-45 minutes...maybe less. Normally we wouldn't buy such important jewelry so hastily, but they were also having an awesome sale and it was exactly what we were looking for without getting them custom designed and made, with less than 3 months until the wedding! Had a pleasant experience when i bought my girl friends ring months ago but recently on June 22 my gf got me a mens rings that is really nice. unfortunately i am sitting here today a month later with nothing on my finger and a horrible, unprofessional experience and they could probably care less. My gf was told by this store and the one on bothell Everett highway that it would be 10 days when returned the one she got because was too big. been a month because the lady here didn't do her job right. instead of returning it and ordering a new one in my size online which would have taken a week. she sent back to manufacture and they dont care so been a month. My Birthday gift i gotta wait day after day hoping for a call to go pick it up. We and especially myself are beyond frustrated with this handling.
