I just had to write a review tonight after my experience! I have shopped this store for a while and absolutely love the redo they underwent this year. I think their produce section is one of the best and the whole store is clean and bright. I recently bought the perfect color for my bathroom and then decorated the whole room with this and that all from Freddies--it's a showcase if I say so my self. Now for my experience. I purchased a Samsung Blue-ray player at Freddies a little more than a month ago. Last night CDs stopped playing-grrrrrrrr! I tried the CDs in my other player and they were fine. I had thrown away the box and I could not find the receipt but thought I'd be ok since I used my Reward Card. When i got to Customer Service they couldn't find it through my rewards card, or even the debit card I thought I had used. Crud I thought, now I'm sunk and will have to send the dang thing back to samsung. But she said she could give me a non-receipt credit on a gift card, use the gift card to buy the replacement player. I looked at her and said, "Really, you can do that?" So I'm sitting here setting up my replacement player and a very, very, very happy customer!! Now that is Customer Service! Good job. read more

Love the new look of the place. Always find what I came in for plus more. Needs more selections in the bakery department tho. Huge selection of beer, wine & spirits which is awesome & good prices too. Would like to see more variety in the pet department too. Great selection & prices in the clothes department . Found just what I needed the other day while shopping for a new beanie since I lost my other one. Perfect price as well as huge selection too. Quick easy checkout is always a plus. Cole from the electronic/photo area was amazingly helpful. I was trying to print out passport photos while figuring how to get the picture size correctly. The photo options in their computer is set with not much flexibility. However, Cole was very helpful and she even provided me with pen and ruler and cutting tools so I can test out if the size is appropriate. This is my go-to grocery store. I used to shop at Safeway, but Fred Meyer's prices are so much better, and the savings add up! Most of the cashiers are very fast, which is necessary because most people buy a ton of stuff here! The store is clean and well stocked. I'd like to applaud the young man who was attending the self check out on Sunday March 18th around 5:30 pm. He was very attentive to all the customers, constantly walking around making sure to help everyone who needed help and just checking on people in general to see if they had any questions, etc. He could see that my mom and I looked confused and were looking for someone to help us (we accidentally double scanned an item), he came over right away and fixed it and proceeded to ask if we had any other questions. He was very friendly and helpful. He also noticed that my toddler sitting in the cart was getting fussy, so he asked if she would like a balloon or sticker. I told him a balloon would be great so he went and got one for her and it immediately made her stop fussing! He even let us keep it. (It was a St. Patrick's Day balloon, slightly deflated, and this was the day after the holiday so he wasn't just giving away sellable merchandise or anything --- just wanted to add that in case his manager sees this.) But seriously, this young man deserves a raise. Great customer service, keep it up! My complaint is that I wish they had more cashiers in the regular check out section. There seems to be only 2-4 cashiers when I go and the lines can get pretty long. All the cashiers I've dealt with are friendly, though, and most of them are very fast. I also very much appreciate that the cashiers will check the ad real quick if they notice that I'm buying an item that there is a coupon for which I had missed. They scan the coupon for me and boom, extra savings! Also, the parking lot can get full fast! I've gone there and they only had a couple empty spots in the very back. It can sometimes get pretty crowded in the store and can be hectic, although this location is huge! So if you can, avoid going on the weekends. read more

At store: 100 NW 85th St, Seattle, WA 98117 Horrible service. Your Security guard and your Cashier, in the Family Lane are not doing their job. They made me feel very uncomfortable during my shopping experience. This is not the first time that Security has made me feel insulted like this. He follows me around every time I go shopping there. I am a regular, loyal, paying customer and to be treated like this is unjust and very insulting. If you really think I am stealing items from my own store, check your data of receipts from however long you need to and figure out that I have spent a fair amount of hundreds of dollars at your store from all my visits. If you need to do your job and check if all items are paid for, do it discreetly without destroying my shopping experience. This is my store in my neighborhood and I have every right to shop here. If you think I look like someone stealing or look suspicious, then I support you for doing your job properly and making the place secure, but do not treat the very people that you are protecting and serving feel like a thief. Security is not very good with their job. Cashier is not very good at social skills. He checked if I stole an item and then shook his head right in front of me when he realized I didn't. I complained to the Manager of the store and he was not compassionate and understanding. He did apologize, but he was reasoning out that his Security is appreciated there at that store and wished that there were more security in Lake City. Why do I need to know that? How does that apply to my own shopping experience? I am very, VERY, VERY *VERY* insulted as I am a loyal, paying, customer. You have a job. I have a job. Let's do it properly. This business is supposed to be about its customers (CUSTOMER SERVICE) and products... to cater to the needs and wants of the buyer AND I AM A BUYER. Though Fred Meyer is a great store, please advice your Security and Staff members to do their job more discreetly in front of customers who are actually PAYING CUSTOMERS and not thieves. Please train your staff to be fair to every ONE. If you don't like me, I don't care and don't mind at all. BUT, I am a loyal, paying customer, so fake it if you have to and SMILE. I am not demanding for you to be nice to me. I am merely requesting that you do your business and fake your smile if you have to and snicker behind my back if you have to, but please do not do this in front OF MY FACE. This goes for the employee with the long hair, too. He works there, near the office supply and the produce side. His hair is in a pony tail... wears a black collard top. Didn't know his name until I realized what was happening to me towards the end of my shopping. I do not write reviews EVER in my life, but the way I was treated AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN by Security is ENOUGH. I have HAD ENOUGH. This is my store, too and I should not have to change my lifestyle and shop somewhere else just because your employees are not doing their jobs properly. If I am treated like this again, as a pattern of a regular basis, I will have to push legal actions towards this. I did NOTHING wrong and ACCUSING ME OF STEALING the items that I PAY FOR is VERY INSULTING, DEMEANING AND VERY RUDE. YOU DO THIS EVERY TIME! Security, do your job right and be professional! Next time you see the Cashier scanning my items, just wait it out and ask him momentarily and not in front of my face! You should know the protocol on these things! Wow, this place is so overrated. It is relatively clean but food is NOT FRESH. Order a sandwich and veggies and sauces were not fresh. The customer service at the hot food area is not friendly and didn't want to help with my question at all. Sit down area could improve as well with more comfy items. I would stick with another grocery store near my house for cleaner and healthier lunch. read more

This Fred Meyer is TERRIBLY run! Once I came in and ordered some hot foods- when I noticed it wasn't hot, but rather lukewarm, I asked the employee to check the temperature. He was super cranky and instead of checking it, said "so you don't want the food?" I said I did want it if it was a safe temp, but didn't want to feed my kids potentially dangerous food. He went and got someone else who was actually police and check the temp. That person was immediately thanking me, as the heat source was in fact out and the food had to all be dumped! Another think that is terrible is there is an employee smoking area INSIDE the parking garage! Every time I park in there it reeks of cigarette smoke. I've tried to complain to the manager but multiple employees have not been able to find him/her and have actually told me the manager is usually not around or is late to work. read more

My favorite part of this place is the front customer service counter with the lottery vending machine. I don't know why this is, but there is a MASSIVE amount of people in Greenwood milling around the neighborhood during what are normally considered "business hours." Our teenage son was actually approached by security and other employees, accused of being someone who had come in a week before with their dogs and caused some sort of problem.Staff and security were disrespectful and handled all wrong, approaching our minor son and not the parents. Nice new store but horribly laid out. Check stands staggered, aisles not lined up or at angles to each other, aisles not well labeled... and on and on. I have shopped at the Ballard Fred Meyer 2+ miles away for years. I live 4 blocks away but will shop elsewhere since this store takes too long to find anything. Not intuitive at all. I will not be shopping at Fred Meyer again. Apparently they don't realize that, disappointing as it is, there are in fact plus sized women still in this neighborhood... I found out today that when they reopened, they decided against selling plus sized women's clothing. Only after they got complaints and requests did they start ordering any... Now there is a new and much larger Fred Meyer Greenwood. Large grocery store in the middle of the store. Natural light and also track lighting giving it a very warm and inviting aura. Huge organic food section too. Nursery is beautiful in a greenhouse style addition. What a great store and friendly staff. Cheers! read more

I like this store but it is not near as good as the one down off Leary Way. Also I was really dissapointed in the PRODUCE Department . Went there about a week ago looking for those fresh bagged cranberries. I spoke to this nice young man Very very tall, he was filling the produce area with produce. I asked him where the cranberries were kept. He said pointing " I think they might be in the wet area, but i do not think we carry cranberries." What the heck kind of store do you have that doesn't carry fresh cranberries? I looked around the area he was pointing to and no cranberries. PATHETIC read more

Their pharmacy is unbelievably bad. I went in to fill a prescription. First the clerk argued with me about it and said the doctor had prescribed something else. Finally his boss came over and verified that he had prescribed what I'd said he had, but said the problem was the prescribed item was out of stock. The boss then promised that they'd special order it and that it would be in the next day. It wasn't. Five days later, it's still not in stock. Every day I've called in to check on it, and they've promised to check on it and call me back THAT DAY to let me know if it was in... but I have never once gotten a phone call. They are utterly incompetent, and stupid to boot, and are a danger to the public. Their pharmacy should be closed. read more

This bop is the greatest. Has anyone seen me in there????? When I shop for a bunch, I wear a splendid coat (no meat hooks lol) and two pairs of trousers, who wants to be the one who doesn't twist??? (LOL). Of course I do squat walk (happiness included) down the food lane to find the best they have: milk, butters, lard meat, full oranges, cold toast, lump, grounded beast, ketchup sauce, mustard spread, box of crunch, canned stew, and maple sauce. I looked for pest spray but for sure they must keep in some kind of special case. Geeg! (Lol). The wheel basket is one of the better ones. I go fast, I go slow. Both ways I am the one who controls! Please know, no cactus section, if you want to buy non-salad plant, they didn't ever have the cactus section. That is the only mean thing I can say. When I pay for the checkout I always do the proper etiquette: stand straight (like pencil), move like machine, and act so I am in the "clear." I am able to see they appreciate this because they take my Credits Card and show the smile! The best place! Even the car lot is the highest make! Guk! read more
