If this were your "local" you'd like your neighborhood better than you do now. Great spot! Pro tip: If you're getting fries, cough up the 50 cents to get beer battered fries. Trust me on this. Special when we visited was a Frito Chili Pie served with a grilled cheese sandwich. Shockingly, I did not order that. Probably a mistake. But the burger was delicious and the fried chicken tenders were top notch. Will need to go back and try the wings. read more

Over all it's decent, definitely could be better but the BBQ sandwich tasted like it was dipped in gasoline

We came in a little after 12:30 in the afternoon. I ordered the mushroom cheeseburger and my wife ordered the BBQ plate. Ordered a couple of beers and waited. Still waiting after we finished our beers and ordered two more. After over 45 minutes my wife received her order and I received my burger but not with the fries that come with it and my wife had no BBQ sauce and had to ask for some. The waitress apologized and my wife received the "extra"(?) sauce and I received the fries after I had nearly finished the grease dripping burger. Tasted good but had to put a napkin in my plate to absorb all the grease. This place came highly recommended but maybe it was a bad day for the cook! We might try it again but if the service and food is not prepared better next time it will be the last time. read more

This place is such a treasure. I was in town from Nashville checking out some outdoor areas and aimed to eat local for a late lunch. Our waitress, Michelle, was very accommodating and attentive. Got fried pickles for the table which were perfect. Not frozen or super oily. I ordered the shrimp poboy and let me tell you those shrimp were huge! I love this small town restaurant! read more

This restaurant used to be great! It changed hands couple months ago or so and is going downhill! They've fired all the good waitresses that were with previous owners! Trying to change menu on meat and 3 during weekdays to non customer favorites. Previous owner made the best banana pudding I've ever had, now it's disgusting. People are waiting for food and never getting their orders and leaving! Vibe in the place isn't cheerful, it's tense! We'll never go back! Dropped in Saturday evening for some raw oysters on the half shell with my wife. Upon arriving we checked the board on the rear wall for menu items that they are out of. (usually numerous items). Why not get rid of the board and order what they need for the week? Great! Oysters were not on the board. My wife and I each ordered a dozen. After waiting a little over 20 minutes, the waitress brought out our order. We were in disbeleif at what we saw. Each of us had 3 or 4 of our dozen that were acceptable size and the rest were about the size of a dime or less. (see pictures). We asked the waitress if these oysters were what they were going to charge us $20.00 a dozen for? She said she really didn't know what they were suppost to look like. A little later the owner came out of the kitchen and was behind the bar near us. I tried to ask him about the minuscule oysters. He immediately cut us off and told us to talk to the waitress and returned to the kitchen where he hid and would not come out until we finally left without satisfaction. My wife and I have been coming to Freddies fairly often now for almost a year since we were told that they have good wings. The waitresses are good and freindly although under staffing causes quite a wait at times. We have learned to call ahead to see what menu items they are out of. Most of the food is usually "good bar food" when they have it. I don't usually write reviews but this experience ws just too much! read more

We love the oysters (both fresh and baked with cheese & jalapeños)! The wings are perfectly cooked and delicious too! We usually get the large order of wings with 4 different flavors of sauce. If you don't know what sauce you want, you can ask for samples--we did that and it helped a lot! The staff is very helpful and inviting! We will be back! read more

This was my second time visiting this restaurant and I must say I was very disappointed. Firstly the tall blonde waitress didn't even acknowledge us when we came in but somehow managed to acknowledge every person who came in after us. I want to point out that me and my daughter are biracial however my daughter is very fair while I'm leaning more on the Hispanic side and she completely ignored us. She then proceeded to take the drink order for a couple ( Caucasian)who had walked in after us and hadn't even sat down yet. Ok so I'm thinking we must not be in her section but she proceeds to wait on the other tables around us so that threw that out. The waitress who did end up waiting on us was exceptionally nice and if I could remember her name I'd give her more praise. Second disappointment was I ordered the shrimp po boy which came with fries and fries tasted like they had been cooked in old oil- they were so bad no amount of ketchup covered up the taste and needless to say I didn't eat them. The only silver lining was the shrimp in my sandwich were cooked to perfection and crispy and despite her unprofessional actions, I will return there and hope that she is not a representation of what Freddie's stands for. read more
