This place is awesome. I can say it is one of two of the best breakfasts I've ever had that I didn't make. Great breakfast and lunch menu with many additional specials available every day. Portions were large and priced less than expected. Only 2 things not positive to mention for the owners edification. And by NO means should detour anyone, the corn beef hash was good but dry and the coffee was weak, but that's personal taste. We came to this place because of the great review. Never have we imagined that they would sneakily charged us just $1.00 more for the tip we put on our bill. We would never know if we didn't check with our credit card statement. True, we only gave them 13% because the service staff never came back to our table after she put down our plates and never asked if we needed refill of our coffee. I felt bad because they were clearly understaffed and it was busy so I understand service being slow. But I even mentioned to the server we were left unattended and Unobserved for about 30 mins waiting for the check- anyone could have easily just left without paying their tab. hands down, the best breakfast food and staff you'll ever come across. You're lucky if you even finish your entire plate. I'm full on just two bites. Everything is delicious. Love this place. My hubby and I went here for the first time Sunday; NOTE, breakfast only on Sundays ( any other day is breakfast and lunch). The home fries are absolutely delicious! We both got omelettes; mine with bacon, cheese, peppers and onions. The omelettes are not a thin egg mix it's a fluffy egg, so it's a big omelette. Get extra cheese because there's not a lot on these just a fair amount. The coffee is not that strong but not water. The service here is extremely attentive and serves you with a smile. You may have a wait but it's worth it, try this place, we will be back. read more

This is our first time visiting Massachusetts and its a great breakfast place. It is easy to find and there is no problem finding a place to park. They don't skip on portion size. You won't leave hungry. The waitresses were on top of everything and they all had smiles and were very friendly. They were busy when we got there, but if we waited 2 minutes that was a lot. The prices were very reasonable (3 breakfasts, including orange juices - for less than $30). We will definitely be back every morning for breakfast during this trip. read more

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. They make sure they flip the tables quickly but they don't rush you. there were 4 groups of people in front of us on a bust Saturday and we were still seated in less than 10 minutes. Food is out quick and tastes great ( but definitely not less filling!). they pay great attention to our beverages (had to tell them to stop filling our coffees!) You leave well fed and your wallet is not too much lighter than when you went in. All around a great place for a solid 4 star rating. I will definitely be back. read more

How can anybody think this place is good?? Went there for breakfast on a busy Sunday in my entire meal was microwaved. This place was packed and there was no reason they should microwave an entire meal. Eggs benedict on a leathery microwave English muffin. Giant pile of home fries were only about 30% of them were warm the rest were refrigerator cold. My friend had the same issue with his meal. When I asked for a new plate of home fries they brought me a fully microwaved plate. This place is embarrassing! Never again! read more

Whenever we come back up to Massachusetts we always stop in at least once at Freddy's The food is always very good and they have a nice mix of daily specials. The owner and staff are very friendly and always quick to refill your coffee for breakfast. Overall a nice place to go for a reasonable price. read more

I got Salmonella poising a few hours after eating here that was the only thing I ate all day. I am still in shock that a resturant could be so careless and it cost me a hospital visit. The food did not taste like anything was wrong with it and that's the scary part in my opinion. Needless to say I really wouldn't wish this sickness on anyone save your money or go somewhere else. Best chicken kabob salad on the North Shore. I have tried them all. Get it with the grilled veggies.... Spectacular. Chicken is freshly cooked to order and seasoned to perfection. Breakfast is excellent as well with the pancakes being the star of the show. I ordered the pancakes 2 months ago and loved them however the syrup was watery and tasteless I told them about it and they changed it, today the syrup was tasty. They listen to their customers. Every since West Side Restaurant closed in West Peabody, this is my go to breakfast place. Fast with refilling your coffee and getting your breakfast out (at least that's been my experience during the week). If you like home fries with your scrambled eggs, you will not be disappointed... they pile them on. Wait staff are very upbeat. Only challenging thing is that the booths are close to tables and others can easily overhear your conversation if you're talking business. I like this place. read more
