Service was kind of slow, but the food was OK little bit upgrade from Taco Bell I think

I ordered from this restaurant recently, and I feel like their food is not freshly made within the restaurant. It is unusually super clean, which is great, but there are no customers their food is coming out way too fast meaning it is prep somewhere else and brought frozen, but I can say nothing's fresh especially the meat. Taco hunter here... I've been all over the US trying Tacos and this place is sub par as far as the Tacos and Flautas go. This place reminds me of Muchos Gracias in the PNW. The service was normal. We found this place after going to Physical therapy in the plaza next-door to it. It just happened to be on a Tuesday and so we thought we'd try their taco Tuesday 1.59 tacos. They are amazing and such a great deal.... Their hot sauce is soooo tasty too. I'm all about my breakfast burritos. When I saw this place needed pics of my favorite kind of breakfast burrito on delivery app, I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately this one just didn't hit even though it looks yummy. While the bacon was definitely delicious and crispy (rare to find), the burrito itself was dry and the tortilla ends were soo hard and hard to bite :( no comment on the service or establishment itself because I didn't personally go and instead had this brought to me but if I go again I won't be ordering the breakfast burrito. read more

When this place first opened, it was one of my go-to spots. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and pricing felt fair for what you got. It really felt like they valued the customer experience and aimed to deliver quality at a great price. Unfortunately, things have changed--and not for the better. Lately, the portions have noticeably shrunk while the prices have climbed. What used to be a solid meal now feels underwhelming and overpriced. They've also eliminated many of their original specials, and even the daily specials that remain are less of a deal than they used to be. It feels like they've embraced "shrinkflation," but without offering anything new or improved to justify it. The food isn't bad, but it's no longer something I'd go out of my way for. At this point, it's just okay--and with so many dining options out there, "okay" doesn't really cut it anymore. I'm hopeful that their new location on Miller might bring back some of the quality and value they started with. But as for this location, it feels like they've lost sight of what made them special in the first place. If they can return to those original standards--good portions, reasonable prices, and solid specials--I'd be more than happy to become a regular again. read more

I love this place! Did you know they offer veterans, first responders discounts? They do! Only last night was Burritos on sale. I ordered 75 dollars of food, 4 burritos on Wednesday burritos sale prices and 2 orders of spicy pollo fries. The burritos were 5.99 sale price. Only when I asked for the veterans discount I was told I couldn't have it because the burritos were on sale. I asked can you separate the order then? I was told no. Because the burritos were on sale. I didn't see anything about that any where. So my point is, if your looking to make use of the veterans/first responders/etc., etc. discount, don't order anything that is on sale or you won't receive a discount at all. Hard no. Do not pass go. And I do mean HARD NO! Especially didn't appreciate the unprofessional service and attitude when inquiring to use the discount as a Veteran for the very first time. Not necessarily needed. Been coming here for 7 years & really disappointed with the lack of customer service when it is still one of the most important part of going out of my way for take out of Mexican food in coming to this particular restaurant. First, things first. I had a hard time finding the restaurant because it's spelt incorrectly on yelp. Second, a guy held up the line talking to someone for god knows how long. Normally, I never have a problem at the restaurant. I love it. But tonight, a guy wearing a pink shirt, and a hat, was talking to the car in front of us, kept touching his face, I hope he was not the cook, and hopefully he changed his gloves. However the guy that officially helped us at the window, was pleasant. He always is every time we come which is why we come back. This is bad, even for drive-through Mexican. Taco was overfilled on a single soggy undersized tortilla. Meat was especially dry and hard to eat with a fork in the Styrofoam container. Perhaps the best tasting burrito I've ever had through a drive thru. I love the disclaimer I got when I ordered the Shrimp Burrito. I'm not sure what folks would find objectionable. Perfectly grilled shrimp, rice, pico and tartar sauce with the spicy option was wrapped in a quality flour tortilla and eaten with their green salsa. Epic! read more

Taco Tuesday is a great hit or miss! My first visit was good hard shell shredded beef and chicken tacos were good. Good meat to produce ratio crispy. Packaging done well. I will admit they forgot two of our taco orders. Issue did he resolved with manager. Now as for the next taco Tuesday. Placed my order l, kindly reminded them of them missing two tacos to double check my order, the somewhat young female whom took my order smirk at my request to ensure my order was complete. When I got home I was so very disappointed in the ENTIRE order! In majority of my beef taco order I'd be lucky to say I had a table spoon worth of meat clumped into one blob of my taco lettuce was literal y thrown in with no attempt to make it into the taco as was the cheese that had some. The same can be said for the shredded chicken tacos. I'd like to say that it was brocade they were busy but they could not use that as an excuse for the horrible service they provided. What adds bitterness the the ordeal was how she irritatingly smirk led about my request to double check my tacos were all there. It didn't really matter because the way I see it, I got robbed again for my order. So sad and disappointed, feel like getting food from here is like playing Russian roulette with my food. Visited one late night i go to get some Carne Asada Fries, and get to the window to pay and don't have my card in my wallet! I have no idea what the low rating is all about for Federico's but after stopping by here for a late night meal I was sold as a return customer. While making the drive from Phoenix to Los Angeles, I decided to stop off for some gas and a bite to eat. I love a good Mexican restaurant that delivers authentic tasting food and the items at Federico's did not disappoint! Not your typical fast food Mexican joint and not your american style organic, health conscious Mexican place either. You're not coming here for a diet menu! The restaurant has a basic kitchen and dining area with a lot of options and authentic, extremely flavorful, greasy food. Be sure to get extra napkins because you will need to clean up often throughout your meal. That being said, this simple styled restaurant had a large menu and I was hungry. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla, a chicken burrito, and the chicken flautas, which also included some chips and red and green salsa. Everything was reasonably priced, but when I got my order I realized that I had way too much food because the portions are HUGE! However, I did have a few hour drive ahead of me so I had time to enjoy and pace myself. First off, the chicken burrito had the most flavorful seasoned and marinated chicken that I have ever had. It was juicy, tender, and mouth watering delicious from beginning to end. The shrimp quesadilla was loaded with gooey melted cheese and stuffed with shrimp in a crispy toasted tortilla. Each piece was like eating a slice of deep-dish pizza. The flautas were crispy and filled with the same delicious chicken as the burrito. As for the chips, they were crisp, thin, and warm and tasted as if they were freshly made. The salsas were also very tasty with the perfect balance of heat and loaded with flavor. I really liked the green salsa because of it's added tartness. Additionally, the staff was also very pleasant and enthusiastic to serve with a smile. Overall, I am a huge fan of Federico's and will be stopping here on every trip that I make to and from Phoenix. read more

Expensive! I really think it was overpriced for the quality of food they gave. I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and a two chicken enchilada plate. It came out to almost $30. This place was busy for sure though. A lot of people in the drive thru and a lot inside as well. I was turned off at the amount I spent for just two items that didn't come with a drink but hey, where I'm from you could find a place that'll do all that for you for under $30. The burrito was good my husband liked it and gave me a third of it, of that which was very delicious. My Enchiladas were cold and very small, my rice was ok and the beans was alright but overall I think it was far too pricey for the quality of it. I think I'd have to try this again but I don't really want to. If I'm ever passing through again, I just might but that won't be for a very long time.The ambiance was giving, family friendly but busy. Because it's so busy especially with the drive thru, the workers can't really give you much attention maybe because they don't have as much? I will start this by saying I am originally from CA and we all know we have a different expectation of Mexican food. However, I am always on the look out for a spectacular place that I can bring my family when they visit. This is not it. I ordered chips and salsa on the side, and they gave me a bin a chips with pico de Gallo thrown on top of it. Never in my life have I been to a place that did not recognize what chips and salsa is. The rice had no flavor, the beans were decent, the rolled tacos I got tasted like store bought taquitos. It was definitely a disappointment. My husband ordered the carne fries, he said they were delicious, so this is something worth it if this is the type of food your looking for. Disgusting place first thing I noticed when I walked in was one if the cooks with his fingers in his nose not once but twice. Touching his hair and hat as well. I asked the cashier if the cooks wore gloves to serve the food he said yes and thankfully the cook with picking out his boogers didnt make our food. Then plates are coming out and there just sitting there on the counter getting cold. We were the only customers and yet they couldn't bring us a hot plate. We get out food and the sauce on the enchiladas looks like it was poured from the can straight on the tortillas. I love all the Alberto's restaurants. You know, Alberto's, Albertaco's, Tacoberto's, Oscarberto's, Mariaberto's, Bertoberto's. Federico's is one of the same fast food Mexican restaurants with the exact same menu. My husband and I cook and we prepare very good authentic Mexican food, but for some weird reason this menu is our fattening, super-unhealthy, guilty pleasure when it comes to road-trip drive-thru spots. We make a point to stop in every state we visit. This location is not one we'll stop at again. My husband orders the carne asada burrito, my middle kid gets the bean & cheese burrito, and I get rolled tacos with guacamole--every single time. Sometimes my youngest gets rolled tacos but not this time because there is a McDonalds in the same lot. The food here just was not good. The salsa was not good. It's the first time I've been to one of these restaurants with this same menu, that the food was just kinda raunchy. The cheese on my rolled tacos tasted like fake cheese. Usually is nicely grated, but this order had too much cheese. I never thought I'd ever complain about too much cheese--on anything! But this cheese was old, oily, and warm without melting. Kinda gross. The salsa is usually a yummy standard. Is was not flavorful whatsoever. The two burritos fell apart as they were opened. So I usually love this place, but my experience this morning, might make it so I never return. I went for breakfast and ordered the steak ranchero. Paid and left. I got home and they FORGOT THE STEAK. No big deal, I will go back and have them give me a new one. I get there and am told they switched out from the morning staff and I need to provide a receipt. The girl was SO RUDE. Took my incorrect order back and shut the window before I was done talking (I was simply trying to tell her that I basically received only pico de gallo). Then I get my new order, she just said, 'sorry' and shut the window. I check it this time, it looks okay, but there now, is no pico de gallo in the steak. Eggs overcooked. Super spicy. Asked for carne asada fries & 2 beef hard shell TACOS & when i got home i saw that the guy had put 2 beef BURRITOS in the bag . i went back to get a refund/my correct order and the guy did not want to do either . HE messed up on MY order & did not do nothing about it . he insisted i had said burritos when i said TACOS. why would i order something i don't like ? makes no sense whatsoever. HORRIBLE service. he was a little chubby mexican guy wearing a hat, black hair with a mullet kind of hairstyle, facial hair had tattoos on his arms/ hands , stated he was the "manager" but would not give his name up when asked nor did he want to give corporates number. lol . Be careful and check your card for extra money they added to your total. Charging your card over $13.00 more then what my ORDER total. Since they charged more to our debit card. We caught it quickly. Then they didn't want to refund the extra charge because the employee who took our payment for our order left. They ended up giving a credit to our card. That usually takes a few days. Went today thru, lady who took our order was the worst. BAD attitude, poor customer service skills, no smile or hello, extremely poor service when they had to fix and refund. 1. In the middle of ordering she interrupted 2X. Never repeated order back to us. 2. The order came out and she closes the window right away. 3. Tried to wave at her to open window, order was incorrect. She refused to open window and had "bang" on the window for her to get the hint. 4. Informed her the order was incorrect, she stated yes that's what you ordered! Arguing with us. We told her if she would have paid attention to us when ordering instead of interrupting 2times and talking to others while we were ordering, then she would know that the order was incorrect. 5. Took the extra box of incorrect items and refunded the items, with attitude and never apologized for her mistake. 6. When she gave us the money, she did immediately slammed her window with sourpuss face. We love the carne asada fries, but with Horrible employees like her , it makes it VERY hard to return here.
