We had an incredibly difficult winter this year. Trying to get our home open after being winterized. I had electricians, a contractor, water treatment people out to open our place up in the dead of winter after a major winter storm. I was desperate. My husband was extremely ill and was being treated at Kootenai Hospital with a serious illness. After many issues with the cabin and me crying on the phone trying to explain what we were going through, Fred's Plumbing owner and crew said, "Don't worry we will get your place open"...and they did! They put in a handicapped shower and a new toilet in record time. They even helped me down 29 steps to my home with a load from Costco to get ready for my husband's homecoming. The gal in the office said incredibly comforting words for us during that stressful time. When people show up during those times it's humbling. I will never forget what Fred's plumbing did for us. would do 0 but 1 is the lowest i can go they are fucking idiots. They won't comunicate with you and asked them to explanin the work and they kept sending us the bill charging us 5,000 for a damm toilet plus they ran over my kids toys and kept on trying to charge us. read more

These guys were awesome. They knew exactly what they're looking at when I looked at the pipes in my house and figured out how to reroute poorly designed irrigation plumbing, so we could install the water softener with a minimum of fuss and costs. The prices were quite reasonable, to compare to other contractors. read more

Have very good customer service Even come out when a neighbor, because it was Christmas Eve, repaired my water heater & Larry came right over & checked it, to make sure my neighbor had repaired it correctly and explained how it worked. He didn't charge at all! Next time I need a plumber, I'll be calling Fred's and so should you!! read more

This is the worst plumbing co you could call. No one will communicate with you. We asked them to call us with an explanation of the work that was done and what the charges were for exactly. They just kept sending the bill. So every time we received the bill we called and asked for the team that did the job to call and explain what was done on the job. No one ever called. So we did not pay. Now they are sending us to collections. I guess it was just so much easier to do the paperwork for that than it was to just give us the call. And why couldn't they explain their work? I will not use this company ever again. read more

We were no showed for our scheduled plumbing appt to run water and sewer to our shop behind our house. I called the day before to confirm appt and was told we were on. The morning of, we were sitting around waiting for Fred's to show up. I called to see when they were planning on being at job site and was told that they couldn't start project that day, and they would call back to reschedule. We never received any call backs to reschedule, and not one call or email to apologize for no showing. Terrible customer service. read more

I was having a problem with my well, fine particles of pump pieces clogging up my water lines! Virtually affecting everything with a screen/filter. Fred's Plumbing sent out 2 men who spent about 3 hours clearing the lines and making sure everything was up and running before they left. They did an excellent job and were personable to boot! read more

We recently moved to the Hayden ID area, and bought a nice home that had rather old and outdated kitchen appliances. The sink was horrible so we went to Lowe's and found a nice large granite composite sink. Lowe's was suppose to install the sink for us, at an additional cost, but as it turned out, we had to have the granite countertop cut / sheared down in order to fit the new sink. After going back and forth with Lowe's plumber, who was very pricey, I wound up contacting Fred's Plumbing. I'm sure glad I did. They were very cooperative about arranging two separate visits for two different days. The first visit was to remove the old sink, and the second visit was to install the new one. Both jobs were done with efficiency and a smile. The price was right, too. Very reasonable. I'll be certain to call on Fred's Plumbing in the future when the need arises. And please, do not confuse Fred's Plumbing with Fred's Appliances or it's appliance repair service. They are NOT related whatsoever! read more

Fred's plumbing is fantastic. My technician was Kenny and he was punctual, professional and very efficient. He explained everything to me and I would highly recommend him! Additionally, the rates were refreshing fair and they even reduced the hourly rate $20 because I was a veteran. Incidentally, Kenny, my technician was also a veteran. I would rate this company more than five stars to set them apart from other plumbing companies if I could. read more

We called and scheduled an appointment to fix a leaky outdoor faucet. They didn't have anything avail for about a week or so, which was fine. Friday morning of the scheduled appointment, we received a call a half hour before and was told they couldn't make it, because someone was hurt. They wanted to reschedule for the following week, which didn't work for us. Then we were told they would come out on the following Monday. But was told not sure. We weren't to happy with that either as we had to reschedule appointments for the original time. The girl told us she would have the manager call us. Mind you, this conversation happened at 7 am as the appointment was for 7:30. At 2:30, still no call from manager. So, we called anther plumber and cancelled. read more

I really cannot say enough good things about Nick, the plumber who came out, and the company in general. After getting a ridiculous estimate from their competitor I was referred to Fred's by a friend. They came in at almost a 1/4 of the cost. The final invoice matched the estimate to the penny. The work was performed perfectly and quickly with high quality components. Fred's does not play any games and gets the job done well. I am so thankful a friend referred them for the job.
