Great spot that was able to fit in a table of 6 relatively last minute on a weekend for brunch…read more We really enjoyed the following: - espresso martini: vodka, reposado tequila, cold brew - cornbread: large enough to share with a crew and served with jam and butter in a hot skillet, a bit more cake like in texture - chicken pot pie: crispy puff pastry top atop a tasty filling, and for takeout they'll separate the two to prevent the pastry top from getting soggy - fried chicken with pickled cucumbers: really crispy, tender meat, delicious and truly spicy Nashville hot sauce if you so desire The fried flounder sandwich and Mac n cheese are pretty good. Helpful friendly attentive service, nice buzz and wooden interior, and all around great spot!

Regardless, greeted and seated promptly. Service was spotty throughout the meal, with servers checking back "worried I missed something" - which generally happened. Menu is relatively limited if you have a picky eater, and clearly labelled "no substitutions". On the food: The great: Get the She Crab Soup - delish and a generous portion. Devilled eggs pretty great too - through my dining partner didn't like the pork rind garnish. The good: The chicken tenders were well received. Generous dark meat portion. The not so great: The cheese biscuit was probably one of the worst pieces of bread I have been served at a restaurant... dry and flavorless. I thought they forgot to include one on one dinner plate - perhaps they were just doing us a favor. The whipped potatoes were inconsistent - very smooth, but with some huge unprocessed pieces. Cucumber salad was average - and should be served in a bowl so that the vinegar doesn't cross contaminate the tenders. All in all, if you are going to force a plate to be served with certain sides, they should be prepared and served well. We did order a side of fries at an added cost but they weren't great either. Three stars for nice decor and apps - but not likely to be the place of choice for future meals in Charleston.

Now their prices have risen slightly but still that same great quality and good portion sizes. I'm glad I got to have them when I rode back through Charleston. Very friendly service, too.

First thing to be aware of: parking is a challenge. There's only 3 spots in front of the entrance…read moreotherwise you'll have to park on a side street. However, all of the side streets have signs that say residential permit parking. We called the restaurant to ask for help with parking and the nice young lady told us where to park (which was on the side of the restaurant but where there were yellow lines). She insisted we'd be ok so we took a chance. It was a Saturday and she said they are lax with enforcement on the weekends. The service is a slow. We placed our drink order and waited for 15-20 minutes for our server to return to take our orders. We had to ask another server to take our order. Our initial server was apologetic however. It still took a very long time for our food to come out. We ordered the crab and shrimp rice, 5 honey bbq drummettes with sides of mac and cheese, cabbage and yams. Hubby ordered the fried fish fillet sandwich with fries. The food was amazing!! Seasoned well and hot. I will say that the crab rice was just ok. I don't agree with the hype. Between the parking challenges and the slow service, I'm not sure if the good food would cause me to return.

Great prices for the amount of food provided. Ordered the 8 piece wings. They are a good size. 2…read moresauces, Hot Honey Mustard & Mild Buffalo. Both were very tasty. I also ordered a side of Cajun fries. When they say "cajun," they mean Cajun. That seasoning really had a little kick. Typically, you see the seasoning, but it's rare to taste a Cajun flavor. Not overpowering, but it was good and unexpected. I'll be looking out for this good truck to try their Buffalo Chicken fries.

I was walking by and decided to stop to view the menu. The first thing I noticed was that they have…read moretons of flavors to choose from on the menu. Classics like Buffalo, Mild, BBQ, Teriyaki, etc., and special ones that I really never heard of, like Jamaican Jerk, Old Bay, Nashville, Sweet Red Chili, and so on. Basically, any flavor you could want. Anyways, I ordered just the 8 pieces of Teriyaki Boneless, but the kind owner decided to give me some Cajun Fries on the house. The wait didn't really feel long at all, probably a 10-15 minute wait, which is really fast. So, I got the food and headed home to try it out. The Cajun fries were mostly seasoned, crispy, and tasted good. The boneless chicken bite itself was tender and cooked well. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like the real deal, a mixture of sweet, savory, tangy, and salty. The box also came with one carrot and one celery stick. They were decently sized, and I'm not usually a vegetables guy, but I tried them out and was amazed. The celery stick balanced out the chicken and fries and was really refreshing to have. I went back and gave my feedback to the owner, and I just have to say, the owner was really nice. I could tell that this is what he wanted to do, and this is his dream. He's a people person. If you ever order from Nothing But Chicken and notice that one piece is smaller than the others, don't worry; there will be an extra piece in the box just for you. The only issue I had was with the menu, a bit confusing to understand, but overall not a big problem. The food is good, the owner is nice. I would recommend trying it out for yourself! I will highly go back again to order.
