We visited this place on a Friday evening and it was completely empty when we walked in. This place was directly across from the light to NASA and had some really cute space statues nearby that you could walk to. There was a ton of parking out front and lots of seating inside. As you walk in, on the right, against the wall is a bunch of bags and markers. Each person gets a bag and they check which items they would like. One thing I didn't like so much is that people were allowed to write on the walls and some people wrote and drew some inappropriate things . I ordered a bullrito with chips and queso. Everything was delicious and was a huge portion size. The bullrito was very messy and did start to fall apart so you may need to grab a fork or two. Never been here before but all of a sudden I've been here twice in a week. Love that I can pick exactly what I want and have it written in front of me in case of any questions. I don't get the tortillas as I am trying to save calories but getting this as a salad is delicious! They really fill it up, and they do NOT skimp on the portions! I've discovered the pulled pork has less calories than chicken (although it is more money) and man is it delicious! And they give you a LOT! I like the ordering system....that way, if I don't know what I want, I can take a few minutes and decide and not be in anyone's way. When you get in, pick up a bag and just fill it out with what you want, then get in line and hand it to the cashier. Voila! This place is fairly cheap. quick and friendly! Not to mention, depending on what all you get, the "salads" are pretty low calorie (we won't talk about sodium, will we). I think it's a great option for decent "healthy" foods in this area. Be warned, though, it's right across from NASA and it does get busy at lunch, although the service seems pretty quick! We try and get here before 11:30 am and haven't had any problems with waiting. We came here once when it first opened, and couldn't figure out why we never came back. Now we know. We go to Freebirds fairly often and, in both our opinions, it's superior to this place. First & foremost the flavor of Freebirds is better. Also, here the tortillas come apart making an awful mess (see picture). I think they're too thin. It happened to both of us. We've never seen this happen at Freebirds. The burrito was fairly spicy (read hot). It may have been the picante but I'm not accustom to picante being that spicy. I like somewhat spicy so it was okay, but you get more choices of how hot at the (mentioned too many times) other place. The parking lot which is shared with several other places is a madhouse and too small for all these business. I thought we'd never be able to back out -- a continuous stream of cars going both directions in a somewhat narrow passageway. All in all not a positive experience. Kind of amazing in a way that I never checked in here before or wrote a review. This has been our go-to place for burritos when we are looking for something quick on the way home from work. The quality of the ingredients is pretty consistent and the service is generally fast and courteous. (Mind you, we are generally not here during lunch rush so I can't tell you how that goes.) My only real knock on this place is that they don't often do a good job of mixing the ingredients. Some people like this because they get a taste of different things as they work through the burrito. This place is a cross between Which Wich, Chipotle and Freebirds. It's a Tex-Mex restaurant that lets you choose your ingredients by marking them on a paper bag with your name on it. I chose to get a kid's bowl. It's says 12 and under, but they aren't strict about it. There's so much food in a kid's size, so I was satisfied. I had the bowl with cilantro rice, chicken, peppers and onions, lettuce, cilantro ranch sauce, pico, and cheddar jack cheese. I also ordered a small frozen lemonade. It did not take long for the order and it was only $5 and some change. Unfortunately the food wasn't amazing. I didn't feel like the flavors overwhelmed my tastebuds like Chipotle or Freebirds. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exceptional either. The lemonade was way too tart and I inadvertently drank all of the lemonade and ended up with a cup full of ice. You've got to rate a place like this for what it is, and it is a custom burrito place. I'm a huge fan of Chipotle and I eat there regularly, but I always try new things when on travel. Came here after a long flight to an empty restaurant, had great service, and ordered a killer burrito. Bullritos is yet another burrito place that has popped up recently only this one is owned by Gringo's -- the Houston based Tex-Mex restaurant with the Las Vegas-esque signs. Unlike most of the other burrito joints I've been to, you have to fill out a printed bag with your order and bring it to the cashier to pay (sort of like Which Wich) instead of ordering your meal and having an employee assemble it real-time. I've eaten at Bullritos a few times now and this place is a solid 3 stars. The food is consistently decent and 100% Tex-Mex. It feels sort of like Chipotle and Freebirds had a baby and their baby was Bullritos. Yesterday I ordered a vegetarian burrito which doesn't actually exist. I had to write "no meat" on the bag since there is no option for veg printed on the bag already. The cashier told me that they're willing to sub guacamole for meat even though they don't advertise it and I was happy to hear that they're willing to accommodate vegetarians (make sure you ask though because I don't think they do it automatically). Although it still annoys me that they didn't print a meatless option on the bag. The things I really like at Bullritos are the guacamole, the cilantro ranch, the grilled peppers and onions, and the habanero salsa. They also give you the option of putting queso on your meal or ordering it on the side with chips for when you need a cheese fix. The few times I've been at lunch were hit or miss on the crowds. I've been able to walk right up the counter and order and I've also had to wait in line for 5-10 minutes, but they're definitely more crowded at lunch time. read more

It's not bad on quality (just not above average), the customer service is as good as you can expect, the dining room has a nice vibe and is clean. I guess I am really just an avid lover of Fre*bird, because this place is just o-k. Bullritos has a great location, right across from NASA, in one of the new strip centers on NASA Rd 1. I like the concept they have, writing down what you want on a paper bag ... leaves little, or no, room for error on their part. I also like that they have beer and margaritas, although, I did not partake of either of these on this visit. I ordered a burrito (although I probably should have had the tacos in hindsight), with chicken (extra chicken to be exact), beans, guacamole, mix cheese, sour cream, raw onions (which is not on the bag) and some other random stuff. It wasn't very crowded there, yet it seemed to take forever for my order to come out. The burrito's ingredients tasted good (I actually like their chicken over that of Fre*bird, but there were 4 problems I had with the actual burrito: 1) The tortilla is sooo incredibly thick and chewy, 2) the entire burrito was incredibly dry ... I should have ordered a side of salsa and queso to dump on it to moisten it up a bit, 3) or the dryness issue could be easily remedied if they had a salsa bar, which they do not, and 4) they do not give you size options (like at Fre*bird), which is important to this 110 lb chica. I'll still go back and try it again ... maybe it will be better if I tweak my order a little so that I'm not trying to choke down the burrito in all it's dryness.
