I needed to have the shutoff valves under my kitchen sink replaced, they not only controlled the hot & cold sink faucet there was also a valve for the dish washer and refrigerator. I called Freedom Air & plumbing. it was not an emergency so they sent a plumber first thing the next morning. they sent a plumber named Adam S. He explained what was needed to repair my pipes and shut off valves. The job was started by placing mats on my tile floor, he placed these mats om my floor to protect it and keep it dry Adam S. worked professional and clean.He completed the repairs quickly and when the job was done he cleaned under the kitchen cabinet. it looked like new, so did the floor. Do not use this company, I'd give them no stars if it was possible. A technician came out and to troubleshoot a AC issue on a warranty repair. Found the outside compressor fan motor was bad. Additionally the tech said the contractors were burnt, which was most likely caused by the fan being told to come on multiple times, prior to the repair. It has taken 2 weeks to get an itemized invoice as the repair bill was over $1,000.00 for warranty work. Do not use this company as they are dishonest and cannot provide a simple itemized invoice. I will be call Consumer Affairs on them as the BBB has no bite whatsoever. read more

We had a service technician, Randy, come to our house to assess an issue with our A/C afterhours. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad blower motor and was able to replace it with a part he had on the truck. The repair was completed quickly and efficiently. We had a new system put in March and we were having issues with condensation and water dripping from the vents. He was up in the attic and was able to see what the issue was. My father passed away in March of this year. I now own the home that has been serviced by this company for the past few years, and will absolutely never hire this company to service the AC or plumbing there again. Between September 2025 and March 2026, my father paid thousands of dollars to Freedom Air and Plumbing for both plumbing and HVAC repairs, the grand total for all is near $5400. The plumbing issues were never properly resolved, which required me to hire and pay yet another company to fix the issue once and for all. I am now remiss and questioning how we paid $5400 in six months for the plumbing and AC. The $2600 in costs we paid to them for the plumbing was an absolute waste, as was the $1159 for the AC in September, seeing as though the latter had to get another $1554 in repairs in March. I also presumed they were sending out licensed contractors and not apprentices/journeymen who work under the licenses of others. That dynamic requires direct supervision of a licensed plumber/supervisor (i.e. on-site supervision) which never occurred and is consequently in violation of Florida State Statute. I should have done better research, however, I had more important concerns (a homebound father in hospice care). All that said, my father was a longtime customer, and they should have done better by him. read more

The original design of the AC drain on my house was a poor design that clogged every 6mo no matter what I did. On Good Friday at 11pm the AC shutdown, clogged line. I called Freedom. The next day they had a guy out to unclog it but then bright and early Monday Kevin came out to redesign the drain. He was professional and informed me of the changes, the reason the original was clogging, the codes and why he was installing the new line the way he was. As a retired engineer, this was helpful. Hired them to handle our comprehensive AC service and ductwork upgrade. Based on their recommendation, we invested in a complete new $15,000 duct system. Despite three separate rounds of service technicians and installation teams coming out, they STILL can't maintain the temperature below 77° during the day or 75° at night. The coordination has been chaotic. Following the initial install, the manager remained out of contact for two days before finally reaching out. Subsequently, he delayed dispatching a team for another week. When the technicians finally arrived, they failed to review the previous service notes, which explicitly directed attention to the other attic where the primary issues resided. The installation manager remained incommunicado between visits; I was forced to initiate contact myself to ensure we were kept in the loop. Now that the $15K system is installed, they are finally hinting at an additional $3,000 for insulation upgrades--a solution we should have implemented from the outset to address the root cause. They are sending another service tech out tomorrow, who will no doubt need to have the install team come back. Between the missed opportunities, poor communication, and constant back-and-forth, I am frustrated. If you want a team that actually plans ahead and communicates, gives a real diagnosis and sticks to it, look elsewhere. read more

Absolutely outrageous pricing. I paid over $660 for a diagnostic visit, including roughly $580 for leak detection alone, only to later be quoted OVER $9,500 for an evaporator coil replacement on a 2017 residential AC system. After getting additional opinions from other HVAC companies, it became very clear that this company's pricing was dramatically higher than competitors for the same issue. Other companies quoted substantially less for similar work. The technicians themselves were professional and the diagnosis may very well have been legitimate, but this company's pricing structure feels completely detached from reality. Leak detection should not cost that much, especially when no repair or refrigerant recharge was even performed. Between the excessive diagnostic charges, constant membership/savings pitches, and astronomical repair quote, the entire experience felt more like a sales operation than an HVAC service company. To make matters worse, I was told on Thursday that I would receive warranty information on Friday. Nobody called. I had to chase them down myself Friday and Saturday without answers, leaving me stuck over the weekend while my AC was down in the Florida heat with 90-degree temperatures. Consumers: avoid or get multiple quotes before agreeing to anything with this company. read more

I was able get them on phone on Sat at 4 pm! They sent guy Sunday . Worked three hours. Charged $1300 and it worked until 1am then no cold air! I was very upset but took deep breath called Sun AM they had no free techs! That upset me as I felt as I was a previous customer they should have prioritised my house!! But I am not a Mr Karen lol! They made an apt for me on Mon Memorial Day in afternoon 12-4pm. It was sooo hot esp w pets! They sent Justin b. Out! He is GREAT. A++++++!!! We can tell he is very detailed and professional! Polite respectful nice!!! I did feel their prices are much higher than Dytmeyrs a Coleman but on weekend I could not get them online and Ditmyers had crazy after hours service that never worked!! So Freedom I give A+ for better after hours communication! I felt their prices are $1300 was very high! I had AC manager friend look at invoice. He works for a local AC company. I blocked out the Freedom logo name etc. He said they would have charged $469 not $1300! I do like Justin B. The first guy was fine but Justin WAS AMAZING ! He really is detailed! Love that work ethic!!! So not happy with their shop's big fees but Justin was great help plus HE TOLD US ABOUT THEIR MONTHLY FEE $16 per month program which covers a lot! read more

This company"s communication sucks! They were recommended by another company since they have a large inventory and would probably have the part on their truck. I call and the dispatcher says someone will be out by 9pm. No one shows OR CALLS!!! I call them back and have to leave a message. I finally get a call back at 9;45 (45 minutes!!) and she tells me the tech is busy and MIGHT be able to get here by 11 pm!! I already knew it was a blown circuit board and told that to the dispatcher. Were they really going to change a circuit board at 11 pm, not even knowing if they had the one needed? Meanwhile I have a 94 year old mother (which I told the dispatcher) waiting and I have to work (in Vero Beach) tomorrow!. They couldn't even call to tell me they wouldn't make it at 9 so I could try to get another company to come out and help! I will never use or recommend them - communication is everything in the service industry and their's sucks! read more

Before I wrote this negative review, I asked for a manger to give me a call with an explanation as to why it took 3 plumbers (first two couldn't find the clean out) and approximately $1,000 to solve the problem. I never got this call, very disappointed and will not call them again. The problem was backed up toilets. Long story short, it took 3 different plumbers (or technicians) to fix the problem. First one went through the kitchen sink, cleared the blockage, said this could last a week or 3-4 years. He said the trees in the front yard have to be removed, which was not the problem. The cost was $388. Two days later toilets backed up again. Second plumber went through the roof and cleared the blockage also suggested we should have them do a sewer camera inspection for another $536. So the third did the sewer inspection which showed there were roots attached to the head. Lots of this could have been avoided if the clean out would have been located from the start. read more
