The project manager in 2008 was absolutely awful. Poor communication and someone quit so my project got pushed to no-man zone- no one was taking care of my project or communicating clearly about what was going on. I didn't write a review in 2008 because I was upset about the process. However, eight years later, the install is absolutely fantastic and the product has held up really well. Our house was built in the late 1960's. Which means that the outlet plugs and other components that were installed back then (over 50 years ago) have become brittle. Jostle them a bit and they can fracture. This happened to the circuit for the room on the other side of the Battery install. Apparently they jostled the wires running to one of those outlets and it fractured it, disabling that circuit. It being a guestroom, we didn't notice it right away. When we did, Elemental did not hesitate to step up. I would use Elemental Energy again if I needed any of their services in the future.

When making the payment, the confirmation email is a super sketchy gmail account giving us major panic attacks, thinking we wired thousands of dollars to a scammer. After calling the next day (we paid the evening prior after business hours) the response was, "oh. That's a former employee. We thought we changed that." It is an affilated company email, with no prior guidance or warning. You just get a pop up saying thank you for your payment to ...(foreign name) @gmail.com. A company name @gmail would have still been ghetto but less scary (own your domain yo! Business 101!) But some random workers name? Anyone making the electronic payment, beware. Don't. Just do a paper check. Overall, I'm sorry. But I can not give Unity a good rating. We have limited solar companies in my area and they were the better price. But I guess you get what you pay for.

A and R sent their sales person to our house and he got right to work. He went into our crawl space under the roof to make sure our roof was properly supported for the panels. That was a relief as the other place wanted to send a structural engineer to do that very simple job and charge us for it. Ridiculous. Our project was two years, so the crew may be slightly different, but they were great. When there was an issue, like that we didn't have electrical grounding, they just put in grounding bars. Amazing! They offer production guarantees which is rare for a solar company, like those ones that come door to door. lol A and R was professional, easy to work with and easy to communicate with. AVOID! Guy knocked on my door, I made an appt for them to assess a project. They never showed or…read morecalled/messaged to say they weren't going to make it. When I called back after they finally reached out, the guy said that the door to door people don't know the schedule and that they don't do assessments on the day that he scheduled. I said they might want to educate the people representing their company because I no longer want to do business and I also saw the bad reviews online about horrible communication. He told me "I am just an engineer, if I say anything it will fall on deaf ears" BIG RED FLAG OF A TOXIC COMPANY! When employees don't feel heard, there's many issues within. He proceeded to HANG UP ON ME when I told him he should try because he can make a difference especially if they are losing customers over poor training or scheduling with their outreach. AVOID AVOID AVOID this mess, and management, DO BETTER! No employee should feel like they aren't heard, especially about a very serious lack of communication and training that lost you an opportunity. Shame.

After extensive research, I decided to go with Sunpath for my solar installation. The crew arrived early today and completed the installation before dawn, and I couldn't be happier! They did an outstanding job.
