So, this is actually my second review for Freedom...I've actually got another call into them right now, and I know they will get back to me within 24 hours. I had them out a year ago when our spa heater stopped working. They came out and gave us the VERY bad news that a family of roof rats had moved in. UGH! Certainly not their fault, but gawd was it gross. We cleaned it up, and Drew's tech came back out, rebuilt it, and installed a rat guard for us -- saving us hundreds of dollars. It's misbehaving again, but I have no doubt that they will again do a great job. Pools need maintenance, that's just a fact. At least you know with these guys they will treat you well, and save you money. Just good people. read more

These guys have a 5 star rating for a reason. A previous contractor fixed my pool pump leak but it leaked again after a few days so I contacted Freedom Pool Services for a quote. The company is pretty busy but I got an appointment within a week. They gave me time window and Alan came right at the start of the window. He took a look a look at my pump and immediately diagnosed what was wrong with the previous work. Then right there he gave me a quote that was very very reasonable. We used Freedom Pool Services to replace all our older pool equipment for our in-ground pool. The whole process went smoothly. Alen really knows the equipment well and was able to recommend the best equipment for our use. He gave us pros and cons for each option. They installed a Raypak 399K BTU heater and connected it to our existing solar system, Pentair Intelliflo VSF pump and Free & Clear Plus filter, and the Pentair IntelliCenter Load Center Control System which Alen programmed for easy use by the App on my iPhone. Two months later it is all working well. They provided all the specs for a new electrical line and new larger gas line for the larger furnace in stalled by our electrician and plumber respectively. Drew was great getting all the equipment and personally delivered the IntelliCenter early for installation by the electrician at the start of the job. We had a small leak which Alen fixed within an hour of calling. Their prices were comparable to others we obtained. The whole job was completed professionally in two days. I am a detail-oriented engineer, and I highly recommend Freedom Pool Services! read more

I've always wanted to say "I have a pool guy." I can now. I used Freedom Pool Services a few years ago for a pump replacement and they did a great job. The office team was great and the repairs were made on time and problem free. Last week, one of the pipes got broken in a mishap with the epic wind storm (long story) and I called FPS to come out and take a look. They showed up the next day as promised and assessed the damage. We decided to do a few other things while we were doing this, so in a few hours my pool filtration equipment was brought into modern day. I should mention that during the assessment and the follow up repair, the repairman was wearing a mask. Payment was a breeze on email and online. Great service all around. FPS is who I call now. We have had difficult finding anyone to provide reliable and professional maintenance on our Hayward OmniLogic pool system. We were having a problem with our filter and heating mechanism that was causing problems. We called several places but never got responses. That day we got a flyer from Freedom Pool services in the mail. We had never heard of them but were desperate for help so we called and left a message. Someone called me back before the end of they day and scheduled an appointment to come out to look at our system within two days. They came out and assessed the problem and gave a temporary fix while they ordered the appropriate parts for a more permanent fix. They came back out as soon as the parts were in and fixed the system. They had excellent communication via text every time they came to our property and after work was performed. The experience was EXCELLENT and I would highly recommend and am now a loyal customer. read more

Wow.. just got another GREAT pool service today from Alen! Thank you! This is actually the second time I used Freedom for problems with our pool. The first time was probably a couple of years ago when our pool pump just "stopped working". First time having to deal with a big pool problem, I called up a few businesses to come evaluating. We decided to go ahead with Freedom Pool initially because of their detailed explanation of the problem and also the competitiveness of their quote. AND YES! the really professional (and friendly) services we ended up receiving later proved our decision to be a GREAT one! Due to the urgency of the matter back then, Alen came to install the filter for us within a couple of days after the inspection. He did a REALLY GOOD JOB explaining the steps he was taking to help cleaning up our pool after the new pump is installed... backwash the filter... the spa etc He also gave really clear and good suggestions/tips on our daily/monthly pool maintenance routines. The instructions were so clear (mostly because he also took time to explain the whys and whats along the way), it became easier/and logical to follow the steps through. We didn't have any problems for the last two years... but when I realized I needed help with a malfunctioning sweep during the weekend, I called up Freedom Pool again, this time without any hesitation. It was another wonderful service I received from Alen today! He evaluated the system, fixed our problem, helped cleaning/replacing grits in our filter. His charge was again really really competitive. I didn't get a chance to write them a review two years ago when I was constantly busy with active toddlers. Our house and pool was flooded in the Coyote Creek flood. Insurance doesn't cover pools and Freedom allowed and even sent links to help me save some on the new pool equipment by getting it myself which was nice. The day after most of the new equipment arrived, they told me they don't want the job. Emails over 2 weeks and then once the equipment arrives they refuse to do the work, awful. I referred my neighbor whose pool was flooded also and suggested maybe a discount if they did them at the same time and I guess that was asking too much and they said "we will have to pass on this". I would move on to an ethical company who doesn't lead you buying equipment and then refuse to work. read more

Simply put, I've never done business with them before and found them on yelp along with another pool service company I won't name because they were very responsive and honest. However, the former pool service company didn't have the expertise Freedom Pool Services and Alex had when he quickly diagnosed my pool sweep problem I struggled with for weeks trying to fix myself. The former company failed to properly fix and diagnose my pool sweep pump problem. Alex listened to me, surveyed my pool and equipment and quickly identified my problem and fixed it. He also surveyed my system providing some needed complex system programming he did with ease.
