Once I got into the room my piercer was friendly and very thorough. My previous piercing was not even on both sides and he took the time to show me several placements for my second hole to create the look I wanted. He walked me through some breathing exercises to preform to help decrease the pain. Before my visit I checked out the website which included the cost of the piercing ($80) for a second hole. Additionally, the website mentioned walk ins are welcome from Thursday - Sunday. My only complain about this shop was the lack of transparency on cost. Personally, I'm someone who prefers everything to be clearly listed black and white so I can review the information and make informed decisions without feeling pressured. At this shop, you need to ask about the price of each individual piece, which can be a little uncomfortable. I asked for quotes on a few jewelry options, and when I made my selection, I was told the jewelry would cost $30 but it ended up being $28 per piece, which came out to $56 for both ears. There was also a $36 charge for two titanium threadless labret posts (the backing, I believe), which I hadn't anticipated. On top of that, I was charged $10 for saline spray for aftercare, something that wasn't mentioned beforehand. In my head, I was estimating around $150 total, factoring in the $80 listed for the piercing and some variable jewelry cost. So walking out with a $211 bill was a bit of a surprise. I really wish the full breakdown, especially the add ons, was made more transparent either online or displayed clearly in the shop to avoid that kind of sticker shock. With that said, I'm very happy with my piercing and the overall experience. The staff was professional and kind, and the shop was clean and clearly run with care. I plan on coming back for future piercings and recommend it to others.

From the initial email he was so good in understanding what I wanted and how much this tattoo would mean to me. I explained to him that I wanted a half sleeve to begin with and eventually develop it into a full sleeve in memory of my wife who fought Cancer for 5 years. I gave him the things that were important and wanted to incorporate into my tattoo and he did an amazing job! My portrait tattoo is the one in the opening page. This was my first big tattoo and Paydrow did not disappoint. His shop is super clean and so peaceful. I love that it's by appointment only and it's only you and Paydrow. Paydrow goes over everything from the start and puts your mind at ease from the get go. He has a really light hand, which is important with portraits. He has done such an incredible job with my wife's tribute sleeve. I have been under the needle for approximately 15-16 hours and have a few more sessions to go. And eventually have my sleeve go from my shoulder to my wrist, which wraps around my whole arm. I cannot recommend Paydrow and his shop enough. He is a true artist! Not just a stencil copier. You give him your ideas and he comes up with the concept and art work. Paydrow is so good about placement and creating what you want. He drew my wife's portrait from scratch and was kind enough to give it to me after finishing my wife's portrait tattoo. It now hangs on my wall at my home. It was so nice that I had professional copies made and gave them as gifts for Christmas to my mother-in-law and sister-in-law's. Paydrow cares about his craft and clients. And it shows in everything he does! He is a perfectionist with his craft. His tattoo of my wife tells a story and has made complete strangers tear up and cry when I tell them about her and what the tattoo means. I show them my half sleeve and go over everything and its meaning. They all say the same thing, wow! It is incredible and looks just like the real photo. To me the biggest compliment to Paydrow is what his art and tattoo makes people feel and the emotions it brings out. I am always asked where I got my tattoo and who did it. And I am always proud to say Paydrow from Carboncillo in Santa Cruz! Again, I cannot say enough good things about Paydrow and his shop!
