We called several RV technicians that the campground recommended and they couldn't get to us right away - one even quoted us an emergency flat rate of $350 to make an emergency trip + $395/hour (1 hour minimum) to diagnose and repair the problem, they would've shown up 8 hours later. While we were calling RV techs, we had left a VM for Marty's Mobile RV Repair and he called back while we were calling around - he was driving around the campground looking for us! He was there within 20 minutes of our call looking for us and he was totally prepared to diagnose and fix the problem right away! He spent a couple of hours chasing our power failure and he found it and fixed it before we had major problems with the month's worth of food in the freezer. He also worked with my husband for repair tips on the various fuses that were involved in the diagnostic process and solved the problem. We were in week 1 of a 4 week trip and he was amazing, responsive and super friendly. Add to that he was incredibly reasonable price-wise and also gave us some touristing tips for things to see on our travels. THANK YOU, Marty - you are the best and we truly appreciated all your help!

We did have to have him come out to do a minor adjustment, which he did at no charge since he offers a 60 day warranty on his labor. We would definitely recommend him. I would strongly caution anyone considering JourneyOn RV's repair services. We were charged $450…read moretotal for a repair that did not even resolve our issue. The service call fee was quoted at $60, but we were then billed for 1.75 hours of labor, despite the actual repair (swapping out a thermostat) taking only 10-15 minutes to complete. On top of that, my husband had to help BJ (the technician/owner) troubleshoot the issue himself, and it was still never resolved. Last time I checked, diagnostics and troubleshooting are not the same thing as billable labor, especially when the customer is doing the troubleshooting with you. When I questioned the labor charges at the time of payment, BJ told me he could have also charged us for the time spent on the phone with my husband... which was simply our initial call to schedule the appointment, along with follow-up texts from BJ checking if the issue was resolved. It was not resolved. My husband later tried to address these price gouging concerns directly with BJ via text, but he chose not to respond. This happened at Hart Ranch, and I'd encourage other campers there to get a firm, written quote before agreeing to any work with him. Paying $450 for a 10-15 minute repair that didn't even fix the underlying problem felt excessive and like price gouging. And here we are, $450 later, still trying to fix our refrigerator ourselves. Please do yourself a favor and avoid JourneyOn RV... based on our experience, they will take advantage of you.
