Kudos to Freeland Chevrolet. I live near Elizabethtown, KY. I have a 2025 motorhome that sits on a Chevrolet 6500HD chassis. The touchscreen on the infotainment center stopped working. NO ONE would touch it. One dealership gave me the run around for about 3 months. Called a dealership in Cincinnati and they recommended Freeland. Called them, verified they would be able to work on the RV and made an appointment. Cindy is the service rep for commercial vehicles. She is awesome. Called when she said she would and kept me informed on progress. She even noticed I had a free oil change due and had that completed. I cannot recommend Freeland Chevy for RV work enough. Just be patient; Chevy is slow, they are not. read more

Definitely check your invoice before paying. All I needed was to get my truck checked because a message popped up on my dashboard.. I received a phone call on Wednesday which I am told I will be paying $600 (plus tax of course) to get it fixed. On Monday I called to see if the truck was ready and they said it was and proceeded to send me a $1,000 invoice after he communicated it would be $600???? I came in and questioned him as to why I was charged all this unnecessary stuff that I did not ask for nor was I aware of. He then proceeded to catch an attitude and gaslight me saying that he "offered me a oil change package and I agreed to it" LIES . The words "oil change" never came out of his mouth and he kept insisting that he did tell me and that he tells all his clients the same thing. I was calm the entire time talking to him with respect and he just walked off mumbling under his breath. 5 min pass by and he comes back and just says "okay it'll be $753" ... never admitted he was wrong nor did he apologize. I would not recommend this place. Was in the market for a new vehicle a few weeks back after my old car dumped out on me. Had an appointment at 2pm on a Saturday with Alex to test drive/get info on the Chevy Trailblazer. Ubered there, arrived on time, and they can't find the vehicle. What? I'm sitting there for 10+ minutes while they attempt to find the vehicle. Finally they realize it was out on a test drive. I later learned there were more on the lot and we could have not been sitting waiting all this time waiting for it to get back. When the vehicle arrives, I get handed the keys by Alex and he starts to walk away. I of course asked him for information. Can you please tell me about this car? Features? Safety information? Anything?! I wish I were joking here but he points out how to turn on the radio and the turn signals. Thanks dude, appreciate that... again starts to walk away. Asked him to go on test drive with me as I want to learn about the car as driving, pointing out features. He knew NOTHING. Every single question I asked, no knowledge. Ended up talking about his personal life and college background to fill the silence as it was so awkward. I was between the Chevy and a Ford, and while I was leaning towards the Ford anyway based on style and my experience with that dealership in the morning, I wanted to give Chevy a chance and have a solid comparison. There was no comparison in the end. Bought the Bronco Sport and couldn't be happier! Again, I do not recommend this location. read more

Went in this morning to see about a driver seat switch replacement part. Parts guy initially gave me the wrong part number and had an attitude when I questioned the part number. After getting the correct part number and I had questions about a warranty or refund on the part, the guy gave me attitude and seemed like I bothered him for asking about a warranty or refund. I decided to then leave due to the lack of friendly customer service. As I leave the parts guy got decided to follow me out of the parts office after I walked out continuing to have an attitude and shouting at me. I can see why this location only has a two star review and hate that I have to add onto it. Friendly customer service goes a long way, especially when people are having day-to-day problems with their vehicle. I hope this location addresses how to treat potential customers that come into their place of business asking realistic questions, especially about warranty or refunds. read more

I am not sure what service department these prior reviewers were visiting, but it must have been a different Freeland Chevy. My car was having an issue, and was diagnosed by my local mechanic for me as a transmission issue that should be covered by warranty, even though my car is 4 years old. He suggested Freeland over a dealership that was closer, because of the favorable reviews he had received from customers, so I called them to make an appointment. Frank, my service advisor, helped me from the moment he answered the phone, and I could not be happier. My problem was of a specialized nature, and a bit difficult to diagnose. My mechanic told me in advance, and Frank did as well before I brought it in, that I would likely have to leave it for two weeks. A scarcity of the part they needed and the qualified technician being the primary reasons. I was prepared for this, so not bothered by it when he told me exactly the same thing as I dropped it off. Knowing this was my first encounter with Freeland, which I drove almost an hour to visit, Frank called other dealerships to see if anyone could secure the necessary parts for him, to expedite this for me. He bent over backwards to get this done as soon as possible, to make a happy customer, which is what I always thought the word "service" implied, but rarely experience that. I had my car, fixed, completely covered under warranty, within a week. I will happily drive back to Freeland for service again, and because of their outstanding service department, would likely purchase from them, over the dealership that is in my backyard. PLEASE READ...........STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I located a vehicle we wanted to purchase from Freeland. We went on Monday 02-13-2023 to inspect the vehicle. While inspecting the truck we observed two scratches approximately 1ft long into the primer if not into the metal on the bed of the truck. After the test drive, we sat down and went over the buyers agreement. We obviously wanted the scratches repaired properly. We did not try to haggle the price at all and was planning on moving forward with the purchase if they agreed to fix the body work. (Who wants to pay $50k for a vehicle otherwise) The truck list price was $49,770 They said they would fix the body work and we reviewed the buyers agreement. They added over $1300 in charges for a lojack system on top of the list purchase price. According to the salesman, they put them on several if not all vehicles. They obviously pay a fraction of the cost for the system they are selling it for. This was not included in the list price online and added on top of the purchase price. Same as if you get a warranty. We left the dealership and contacted them on 02-14-2023 proposing the same offer. They stated they would take 500 off the lojack price but would not fix the body work. The sales person asked what dollar amount we would like to purchase the vehicle for. We stated $55k. Never received a response. On 02-15-2023, we reached out twice, once to the original sales person and once to another since we didn't receive a response. The second sales person stated "they couldn't do $55K since the truck was listed two weeks ago for that price. " It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do a little research. We went to Cargurus and the original list price was $51,560 on 01-31-2023. It then changed to $50,569 on 02-07-2023, and current price of $49,770. Please save yourself headache and potential a bad financial decision. STAY AWAY from this dealership. Greedy and incompetent. 1st the greed. Took my truck in for factory recall power steering repair. Stabilitrak warning light was also on. Called to tell me it would cost $2500 to fix. Said I needed a steering gear box to fix stabilitrak. Declined that service. Had them perform power steering recall work. Steering is fine now. Stabiltrack was a faulty ABS sensor. Cost $200 to fix. Absolute crooks. Do not trust. Now the Incompetent part. Radiator hose had to be disconnected to install recall part. Mechanic did not tighten hose clamp during reassembly. Blew out on way home. Easy fix but what a rookie mistake. Incompetent thieves. Do not use these crooks. read more

Awful experience here, wouldn't recommend the used car superstore to anyone. Made an appointment and showed up early only to wait 2 hours for them to pull up the car that I wanted. They had apparently lost the key and had to track it down. They refused to budge on price though they were thousands above comparable cars at other dealerships. That stuff I can deal with, but what I couldn't deal with was the staff talking about us within earshot. Not only did they talk about our loan application and our address, they talked about they did not want us to be there and they wanted us to "just go home". My car had its check engine light come on and started driving oddly: stalling and had trouble starting if I stopped at a red light. It also just sounded clunky and terrible for seemingly no cause. After a trip to a local mechanic (something seemed off about their diagnosis), I went to Autozone twice, and then to another mechanic. After a multitude of diagnoses, and about $300 in replacement parts, it seemed no one could find out the issues with my car. I went to Freeland Chevrolet (the one closer to me had absolutely horrendous reviews) and Frank helped me out big time! Cut my estimated wait time to check out my car in half and I had my car back in my possession much sooner than I had anticipated (2 days!!) and YES I finally had the issues with my car resolved (and there were a lot!) My husband bought a vehicle from Freeland and the tire pressure light was on his 2019 truck. They took it around back for abt 30 min and brought it back out w the light off(assuming they just reset it). The next day he had surgery and didn't drive his car for a week. When he went to drive it the light was on. We called and spoke with Louis Peña, the sales manager, and he told me to have him bring it back in when he got back to town and they'd "see what they could do to make it right!" My husband did just that and they told him there was nothing they could do"..... just needs the tires sensors replaced. We will NEVER buy a car from them again. The car also only came with one key. After negotiating my husband agreed to pay half for a second key(that should've come w a 2019 vehicle). We still don't have the second key(car was purchased on 12/9/2021). read more

I asked before I purchased it that I needed them to provide rubber floor mats and fix the tint on one of the windows. Maybe $25 to fix it. First Antonio said give him 2 weeks to order the floor mats. Always a different excuse. The Sales Manager was rude and very unprofessional. They have gave me the Run around about the tint and floor mats. I had it towed to Freeland because Sean G. said he'd make sure it got looked at and maybe fixed by day's end. This was more than I got from anywhere else. Sean and the shop got right on the problem. It took a while to diagnose and a week to fix which was not their fault. Sean and Bryant kept me apprised so I could make the right decisions to get back on the road and leave the truck with them. I traded a truck in on 11/15/2022, truck still had a loan on it. Freeland Chevrolet was supposed to pay off the existing loan on the truck, per the paperwork I signed "releasing" the loan to them. As of 12/10/2022, the loan has not been paid off and now the bank is about to start charging late fees, but Freeland basically said thats not their problem. So, now I have 2 loans with payments due, the truck I traded in and the truck I traded for. I guess this mostly my fault for coming to this dealership in the first place. Oh, and since the lean on the truck I traded in hasn't been paid off, Freeland doesn't have a title for it, so they technically don't own it, yet they have had it on their lot for sale since 11/16/2022, almost a month. Isn't it illegal for them to sell a used car they don't own? This is only maybe half of the full story. read more

Pains me to write this review, but here it goes: Bought a 2015 Chevy Suburban in February of 2016. Honestly, we used this dealership because we found car on Autotrader and it was a great deal. Car is not even 2 years old and A/C condenser ($856 for part and another $200-$300 for service) needs to be replaced. Called my salesman and asked him if they would pay any of this cost since this car is TWO YEARS OLD. Called me and left one message and quickly told me absolutely not. I asked if any chance this problem would be recalled, since the mechanic (we are in Florida on vacation and air goes out) who discovered this leak told me that he had seen dozens of these over the past few months. All 2014 and newer Suburbans, Tahoes, Yukons...He was like Chevy/GMC needs a recall on this part. These cars are too expensive ($50,000-$75,000) to have the air go out in two years. When I called this week, a very rude lady in service answered, she quickly copped a major attitude when I questioned what the cost for part would be, she haughtily told me I was looking at $85-$100 for just a consult for them to tell me it was the condenser! Are you serious? I bought a vehicle from your dealership and you wanna charge me to just quote service? I have never in my life. Toyota of Cool Springs would have never ever done this. They would have met me with red carpet and coffee, apologizing profusely that I was even dealing with this! If I was to ever buy another Chevy or GMC, it would be from Darrell Waltrip, not this place. But I am Toyota and Lexus girl from here on out. This will be my one and only experience with Chevrolet. I have had an absolutely awful experience. I buy a new car nearly every two years for work and I would have been back if I had a better experience. The pain is clearly raw as I sit here and write a check for $1000.00 today for a new air conditioner for this Suburban. I am also considering calling an attorney and filing a class action lawsuit on a part that needs a recall. Work on your customer service, Freeland. I had 2 different horrible experiences of attempting to purchase a expensive used truck over $80k asking not including tax. I test drove it initially with no problem through Angie. I then called to confirm I could get a 24 hr test drive on the phone so my mechanic could look it over. On the phone, they said it was possible no problem. I rush over with my daughter across town. I get there and the Sales Manager Mike who gave me the run around when I asked Angie about the invoice price on the phone. While there Mike yelled at me saying hush your mouth so I can speak. Naw Dude has a real issue in doing good business, not offering any good faith negotiations. Only reason why this place is still open must be the commercial accounts side. The second time, I tried to get the truck through their online team, once I get there they basically lied to ensure I wasn't able to buy it. Carlos stated some guy put down a deposit on it but, the truck is still listed for sale online. Sad reality customer service is nonexistent here, within the used car sales team. Won't ever spend a dime here again even for service. The demand for trucks is high but the customer service experience here is some of the lowest I've ever experienced. How does a company have an online system and on-site sales team that has no real obligation to valuing All customers of any kind. And it's 2021 call customers back if a car or truck isn't ready, stop wasting peoples time and energy. read more

I originally took my car to Freeland because I live 5 minutes away from the dealership and my transmission failed on Mt. View and Murfreesboro Rd. They were the closest dealership to have it towed to so I had it sent there. The transmission was under warranty so they supposedly did the repairs. That was the beginning of this two year battle I have had with them. After the first repairs as soon as I left the lot the car was still having transmission issues, took it back they had the car two weeks, gave it back it was still having same issues so they tell me it's sensors. I pay for sensors, still having issues, take it back they say it's the catalytic converter and recommend me to take it to an exhaust shop the part is east to replace and it would be much cheaper, so I take it to an exhaust shop. Still having same issues. During all of this time my transmission is still under warranty. I keep telling them it's the transmission. I have it taken to Walker Chevrolet dealership they flush the engine, do an oil change, and the car is still having transmission issues. The car cuts off on me in the middle of the street after leaving the dealership. I have it towed back to Walker, they have their transmission guy look at it and tell me that it is definitely having transmission failure but if Freeland did the repairs I would have to have them fix it because it is now out of warranty(of course). I have it towed back to Freeland and tell them that I've been being the car in every month since they repaired the transmission and they have said it's not the transmission now the transmission has gone out. I finally get an approval for them to fix it under warranty. After the repair, I leave the dealership. The car is still slowly accelerating and having the same issues. I take it back they said it's the timing chain. I spend $2000 to have that fixed and leave the lot to go to work, pick up my son from school and the car begins to overheat. I have to keep stopping and letting the car cool off. Took me over an hour to drive the car back to Freeland. When I get there they say that some ring hand broken that usually breaks during repairs. They give it back and it's back to the slow acceleration. Then the check engine light comes back on. I took it back Wednesday. I haven't heard anything. I have to contact them. I call this morning because I have to be at work in an hour. They say oh they sent it back to the transmission guy... I started a vlog a few months ago to record this experience because it's ridiculous. They have had my car on and off for two years with the same issues. I have never taken it away from there with no issues. I have been very patient. Constantly having to spend money for Uber, lyft, rent a cars, I own a business, I have children. I could've gotten another car by now with all the money they had me put into this car. I have gotten advice from an attorney but I am not one that like a lot of drama. I just want my car, but it looks as if that may be the only way to resolve anything. If you need service repairs, don't take your car there. read more

I miss smiling and feeling cared about like I did each time I called Feeeland for a need or had to take my car in. Now with Carl Black I dread having to go to the dealership and even worse is calling and having to speak to the over the top rude "women" who direct calls there.
