I went here a little over two weeks ago to get my brakes and refrigerant fixed. The mechanic who helped me out that day was Jose, he was great. Very disappointed with this shop, don't go there if you are looking for an honest repair shop and don't want to get ripped off. Ray the technician charged me for air conditioning service and I paid him (cash only) for his job. When my A/C kept acting up he tried to have me replace parts costing hundreds of dollars. I decided to get a second opinion, and the next day I went to another air condition specialist. I was very surprised to find out that the reason my A/C not working was due to low level of refrigerant. Freeway Smog Center charged me for refilling my system with refrigerant, but in reality only filled half of the amount needed. By the way, the system had no leak because both shops vacuumed the A/C system and check for leaks prior to refilling Freon. I can't help but wonder if this was not intentional and a way to try and sell me additional repairs. read more

My Nissan sentras AC stopped working in march, newer car (2015) so I thought it was weird that it would have issues so quickly. Decided to take it into a shop I drove by that had A/C repair. They told me it needed a diagnostic which was fine, and after that told me my issue was with the A/C compressor? I went ahead and said yes to the repairs and I'm pretty happy I did. I was here today and have been kindly declined 2x now, this new guy Gabriel that runs the place, will refuse to give me an appointment and always suggest to call before, but it's always the same answer "no we are busy call back" this was my place to go when Ray was running the place, not sure if they are focused on the mechanic side of the business but I couldn't imagine that a oil change will be to hectic to handle. Specially from a long loyal customer. Well it was good times here and I appreciate Ray a lot for his A1 service always. I was happy to find a mechanic near my house... and I was truly hoping that they would do a good job so that I would be able to take multiple cars there. Sadly, I had a very unpleasant experience and would never recommend this place to anyone. I took my car there because it was making a strange noise. They told me that they had to replace the water pump and that it would cost almost $500. I didn't question it. They said they needed to work on it and that it wouldn't be ready until the following day by 11 AM. A little inconvenient, but that was their schedule so I had to leave the car and trusted that they would take care of the problem. The next day it was after 11 AM and they still hadn't called. I called and they told me it would take about another hour - they would call me when it was ready. They finally called several hours later. I went to pick up my car and had to pay almost $500 in cash. They don't except any other form of payment. (Red flag). I never complained about anything I simply thanked them and left - trusting that the issue had been resolved. This was on Friday. Over the weekend I drove the car a couple of miles when I noticed that the AC stopped working. I pulled into a parking space and noticed that there was a significant trail of coolant leaking from my car... it was overheating. I called someone to come look at it. We let it sit for over an hour... walked across the street and paid $20 for some coolant. We poured it in and then drove it for only a few blocks before it started to overheat again. We had no choice but to have it towed back home. Took it back to the mechanic on Monday. They said they would take care of it and that it would be ready the next day. Again, no complaints. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and hoped that they would fix whatever they installed incorrectly, or whatever problem they caused - because it's the right thing to do. Any good mechanic would apologize and try to correct the problem immediately. The next day it is 3 PM and still no phone call. We call to find out what's going on. Whoever answers simply says that the car is ready. Ok, A little annoyed that they never bothered to call. We get there and stand around for about 15 minutes. The guy we were dealing with never acknowledges that we are there. He is talking to somebody the entire time. (I think he's the owner's son). We finally go speak with one of the mechanics because it's getting pretty late. He says that we have to deal with the guy who is ignoring us. We continue to be ignored until the mechanic steps in and says that we've been waiting to take the car. I just wanted to leave because obviously there shouldn't be a charge... but I wanted to be courteous even after being inconvenienced for so many days. Finally we are acknowledged but the guy is rude to us and says that we owe an additional charge because they had to replace some part. Excuse me??!!! Nobody bothered to call us about replacing a part. Doesn't the customer have to be notified before they do anything that will incur a charge?? The car was there so that they could fix whatever problem they caused in the first place. You can't just decide to charge a customer for something they were never notified about... more importantly pretend that you never did anything wrong to begin with. At this point I started to explain the entire situation and that we had to have the car towed... The guy immediately explodes and yells for us to get out and never come back. I was completely shocked. Obviously he was trying to scam us out of more money and was annoyed when we questioned it. I should have been reimbursed for the coolant AND to have the car towed. (I didn't even ask for this reimbursement) The entire experience was completely unprofessional - but how we were treated at the end was uncalled for. I truly hate writing negative reviews - but people need to beware of this shady and unprofessional mechanic. read more

$50 including certificate. The last time I had to get a smog check, I ended up paying about $80, which after talking to some people realized I had overpaid for this service. A friend told me that centers in the East LA area offer better deals. On route elsewhere, I noticed a sign on Olympic that advertised $25 smog checks; naturally I dished my original plan an headed to this center. When I inquired, the $25 was for a pre-test. This saddened me a bit. The technician said that their smog check including certificate was $50. Reflecting on what I paid last time, I thought it was a good deal and had him proceed with the service, since no one else was there. The entire check seemed to take no more than 15 minutes! I would like to let you know that as a local consumer in Mojave I am quite disappointed in the experience I received in your shop. I was told I would have to have my tires removed to install screw in valve extenders on my RV duelies rear axle. Then 2 of them attempted to remove the rear fuax wheel rim. They started in the center, which is correct. Then when they didn't have results, another thing, I'm not spanish and they were conversing in spanish, not saying what they were saying to each other to me, not cool. Then they took a crowbar and a hammer, without loosening the center cone! I said don't do that! He got it at least once after I said not to. I said they didn't know how to do it. They didn't, plus they didn't have to. I took it to Tony's tires, they did it in 15 minutes without removing anything other than a valve stem. Had to shorten the lip on the living ones, other than that, no problem. Very professional, you guys could learn something, not my first bad experience there read more
