Freeze & Float...I did exactly that. I had never done Cryotherapy before, and it was so refreshing and invigorating. In my next visit I tried the floatation therapy. Again, something I never tried, and was always sketchy about the small coffin tanks I saw at other places. Freeze and Float has entire float suites and makes the entire experience super comfortable. Highly recommend this lovely spa. The space is very quiet and very clean! I tried all three services and enjoyed them all. The infrared spa is spacious and private. This was my first float experience and it was just what I needed to relax. The space was very thoughtfully designed to include plenty of space and a shower right after the float. My skin feels amazing! I opted for the cryo facial and my skin feels smooth and rejuvenated. They have many accommodations including Dyson hair dryers and everything you'd need to get ready for the rest of your day. A truly relaxing experience. I am 34 weeks pregnant and I highly recommend floating! I never truly realized how heavy my belly was until I got out off the tank. And I already miss it! This place is amazing! Clean, calming, and relaxing is the vibe. Their tea station has lots of options and lemon infused alkaline water. I also like the layout. I wish they have floating noodle (a short one) so that you could float on your belly and lay your head on the forearm. They do provide a floating plate to support your head though in case you never tried it before. The staffs are all very nice and thoughtful. I had my first float last night. Amazing. This place is truly a full relaxing experience from the second you walk into their lobby with the music and custom piped in aroma. Every where I looked, I was continually impressed. You get your own luxury private float room. The float itself takes place in a capsule like room with a tall ceiling and starry lights. It's like the sensation I always tried to achieve in normal water, but I was never buoyant enough. I did get salt in my eyes, but they've thought of everything. There was a fresh water spray bottle I could use to rinse the salt out. I'll know better next time. They are open late- I would suggest going in the evening. I went at 8:00pm then went home to bed super relaxed and refreshed. read more

This place is like heaven on Earth. No, seriously. I discovered it thanks to a friend earlier this year, and initially went just to check it out. My first float was "interesting," but since I purchased a 3-pack, I went again--and it was next-level. So was the next one. I think my over-active, control-freak mind took a little while to chill TFO. It has since become my go-to place to de-stress, unwind and open my mind to create. When I have a big meeting, presentation or content to write, I float. When my stress level is about to max out, I come here. When I'm feeling low, I come here. It always helps. I have also done the Infrared Sauna and it is awesome, and I imagine I will do that more this winter. We signed up for a membership because we enjoy the services so much. The options of cryotherapy, float, or sauna are great because it's nice to change it up to keep things fresh. They have lots of really top quality supplements too and everyone there is very knowledgeable. They also have lots of different innovative massages I would like to try eventually. I stopped in to Freeze & Float one evening while travelling in Chicago for work, and it was an amazing experience! I did 45 minutes in the infrared sauna, and it was so rejuvenating and relaxing. I recently went to the studio that opened in River North. I was greeted by Karolina who gave me a tour of their gorgeous space. I saw their private float rooms with showers, the cryo machine and private sauna room. They also have a relaxing waiting room, locker room and room to dry your hair. It was a warm and inviting space. Their space is beautiful and calming which helps make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I found this place through Gilt City and I'll be a customer for life. Love this place!! And I am very picky with my massages as I've been spoiled with good massages that I've been doing in my 20s, in my teenage years due to my chronic back problems. I've tried the infra red sauna, floating and a deep tissue massage. A combination of all 3 will save you so much time and money on doctor's visits if you are dealing with back/neck/shoulder/nerve pain. Staff is very friendly, place is very Zen (love their tea/relaxing/waiting room), and considering we are in the middle of a global pandemic, they keep it super clean!! Lana is one of the best masseuses I've had in the States, and I've been to many places, she will try different techniques customized to your needs to ensure you leave happy. Worth every penny!! Saw a review below about a wait, it is absolutely normal to wait 15 min, to me that is a good sign, that means they take their time with each client vs rushing everybody, if they took their time with a previous client, they will take time with you as well! read more

This has been my go to place whenever i'm feeling run down and mentally drained. It is the most intimate and personal environment i've ever experienced. You truly do feel like you are not in Chicago and are in your own space to relax, heal and rejuvenate. The services I received exceeded my expectations and that is why I continue to go back whenever I am in town. The other detail worth mentioning is that this is not a franchise but a family owned business with an owner presence and the amount that they care for their clients and their spa reverberates throughout your experience. You feel welcome, you feel taken care of and you feel that you are their priority and your well being and satisfaction is the end goal. I don't know if the floatation services are for everyone but it's definitely worth a shot, I happen to enjoy it and cannot stop talking about the benefits it provides me to my friends.
