One of my favorite French onion soups! Cutest, most quaint little bistro with so many seating options, there's something for everyone? Want to people watch? Sidewalk seating is your answer. Want to sit outside but feel a little more private? Sit outside downstairs. Hate the fresh mountain air? Chill at the bar inside. Awesome bar menu, I absolutely loved the pistachio martini on my last visit. Perfect for a little afternoon snack or full lunch and dinner.

The food is large variance. The crepe and fondue are not very good. The red wine beef and snails are particularly good

If Aspen had a secret passport control between $4,000 parkas and $4,000 handbags, it would be at the top of the stairs leading down to French Alpine Bistro. One minute you're strolling past Louis Vuitton with a crowd dressed in equal parts fur coat and cowboy hat, and the next you're descending into what feels like a 19th-century French chalet that decided Aspen was its spirit animal. The setting is delightfully "old world meets old money." Oil paintings line the walls--some pastoral, some... suggestive enough to make you question whether that shepherdess is really just tending sheep. The tables are packed so tightly together that by dessert you'll either know your neighbors' life stories or be debating ski conditions with them. Honestly, the sheepskin-backed chairs practically insist on it. Think cozy European intimacy, not sprawling Colorado elbow room. Now let's talk food. The mushroom truffle bisque was so luxuriously earthy it tasted like the forest floor got dressed up for a gala. The chicken fricassee was comfort food in couture--rich, classic, unapologetically French. And the boeuf bourguignon? Old school, slow-braised perfection. The kind of dish that makes you want to cancel your afternoon plans and commit fully to red wine and poor decisions. Between the runway-level people watching and the deeply satisfying, traditional French fare, it's hard to say what's the main event. But here's the truth: I'd return for both. Because in Aspen, sometimes you come for the fashion show... and stay for the bourguignon.

Loved!! I love France, French Food and the French language -- making this a great evening here! We sat outside on the corner around beautiful flowers. I walked downstairs and definitely loved the vibe there as well, but we wanted to sit and have the view of the Aspen mountains as the sun went down! I absolutely loved the French music that was playing. Created a great vibe and I wish I knew how to get the playlist they were using! I had the Bistro Bowl w/o tomatoes, with salmon. Delicious!!

Idk what they are doing here but it is INSANE. This is genuinely the best meal I've ever had in my life. The inside is tight but so cute and homey. The seabass, gnocchi, and salad were so good I couldn't believe the flavors. Waiter was so kind as well!! Would recommend a million times.

We stopped here for lunch while shopping in Aspen. What a romantic and beautiful French restaurant. The French Onion soup was delicious plus very picturesque! My wife equally loved her Panini Sandwich. Had the Crepe Suzette for dessert, another winner. One of the cutest restaurants I've ever been in. Service is terrific. All French waiters. A most go to in Aspen.

Service was amazing! The place is so cute and small. Felt like I really was in the country side. All their food recipes are done so so well! Just your classic dishes made perfectly. I will say the only thing is the ingredients could have been better quality but because of how well it was prepared I was still impressed. Definitely will come back

Now THIS was the Aspen dining experience that I've been anticipating! The place itself is AMAZING...so lush in its French and rustic chic decor-ambiance, with the perfect French music overhead. Pictures just didn't do justice to the overall vibe you get here...totally Aspen! Hate to use the word again, but their menu was also amazing...so many tantalizing choices, I had a hard time choosing. However, I finally decided to try one of their crepes (think it's what they're famous for?)...Nirvana, which was this Thai-influenced savory crepe. From its exquisite presentation to taste, that Nirvana crepe was truly heavenly. I also had to try one of their crepe desserts as well...and at the recommendation of the Manager (?), I decided to go for their "Midnight in Paris", which was this crepe w/ vanilla creme brulee custard and crispy caramel. Yummm!! I also tried their cocktail, Pink Panther...and it was quite good. Somehow I expected a bit more from this though. Service was top notch. From the moment you enter the door, you definitely get the sense that you're at a 5-star restaurant. These 3 items for lunch totaled 95 bucks (including tip)...and I wasn't even mad lol. Unlike some other Aspen restaurants I've been to, I felt that the foods, service and the ambiance actually merited the lofty pricing here. This was the 5-star Aspen dining experience that I've been looking for...so now I feel that I've finally experienced one of the best things in Aspen!

Love this little place. On the street seating but also a secluded lovely lower level dining area. Happy Hour Special drinks are delicious. I'm having a Pistachio Martini (12.00 at Happy Hour instead of 20.00) and some Fondue Very nice vibe. Servers are wonderful.

    - Came for their happy hour - Regular menu is quite pricey (as is most places in Aspen) - The decor inside is very unique, gives you a cozy feeling - They have outdoor seating - The french onion soup is ok - The steak tartare is huge and very filling. Saw a picture on here with fries but now it comes with chips - The HH burger was incredibly misleading. Their instagram photo is MUCH better than the real thing - The burger comes with chips not fries, the menu said it came with tomato but all we got was bun + patty + cheese. How do you forget an ingredient lol - All servers were very friendly, the food came out fast - Since it's a small space, there's a gust of wind every time someone comes in and out

When is the earliest I can reserve a table for two at 6:30 p.m. for Sept. 25, 2021?

I would use Open Table and it says you can only book up to 30 days in advance. Good luck! It's worth it!!

    What are the lunch hours?

I think they open at 11:30 AM and stay open all the way until closing after dinner. Have fun.

As anticipated, the place was gorgeous...with a slightly formal air. Given that it was in the Vail Village (near the ski slope), my husband was able to enter the place in his rugged ski suit. Despite the ambiance, it was a bit dead. I was disappointed with the lack of French music overhead...though maybe it was on so low, I didn't hear it? There were plenty of breakfast-brunch options, but on the menu, some items were noted as taking 20 minutes (which we didn't have time for!), so I was a tad bummed about that. In any case, my husband chose this Huckleberry Bacon French Toast, and I ordered the Maryland Crab Benedict. For drinks, we both just ordered plain coffee. As expected, the foods were good. I was more impressed with my husband's choice, this super-fancy french toast. Not only did it look amazing, it tasted spectacular! Mine was good, but disappointing at the same time. I really liked the Crab Benedict, but I only half-liked the side salad (basically just Arugula with a few Walnuts and Figs). The total bill for these items ran over 100 bucks... which, was to be expected in Vail. However, for such a pricey breakfast, I felt that I should have absolutely loved it...but it felt short of that. Overall, I just expected a bit more from this breakfast experience. Again, the decor was gorgeous, but the ambiance wasn't fully there (because of the lack of music?). Service felt a bit short-skimpy as well. Foods were good, but mine especially (Crab Benedict) felt a bit lacking. Let's just say that I've had Crab Benedicts as just as good for half the price...and with better sides. Maybe lunch or dinner experience is better here? In any case, am glad we checked out the place...but I doubt I'll choose it for breakfast again.

We got there at 8:50pm and the hostess looked over to someone who looked like the shift manager and she said "sorry the kitchen is closed". I did not feel like arguing so we just decided to have some pizzas and drinks. That was a big mistake. I ordered what looked like a calzone (pizza that is wrapped) and it was the saltiest dish I've tried. Again we were trying to be mindful and too nice but I think we just went too far for being too nice. I then ordered the other pizza and it was honestly quite mediocre. The waiter was really nice and that's why I'm giving it 1 star otherwise it would be zero for us. They weren't even willing to provide salad. Come on! You can't even make salad in your kitchen? That was just ridiculous. And believe it or not, we had amazing food in every other restaurant we tried in Aspen so this was certainly a one off. My suggestion to the management team is to be honest about your the last call from your kitchen. If you close at 10pm and your kitchen runs till 9pm, you ought to be able to take orders till 9pm. Otherwise, be upfront and shot down kitchen at 8:30pm. Quite disappointed and not even sure if I would ever want to give this place a try.
