a hostess blocking a way to the restroom.. I literally sent a video to my friend how absurd it was

older crowd, the food is average, the atmosphere is amazing, but the staff.. the girl at the reception the servers are not want you would expect at this kind of place, staff is really rude and unwelcoming. they will make you wait to go to the restroom because the indoors is full, the girl was literally blocking the way with her leg, I don't think that paying 500$+ for an okay lunch for two you deserve to be treated this way.. average crowd is 40-50, if you're younger than 30 they won't take you seriously

We had so much fun at Cloud Nine! Picture an Après party at the top of the mountain and that's what you've got. We sat down at 1:45 PM and that was the perfect time to be able to eat lunch before the All pray party began. We were seated inside a small table and our waitress was incredibly kind. We ordered the muscles and shrimp with fondue and a bottle of champagne. The actual champagne did not start until 3 PM and they had a fun countdown and lots of build up and music. The actual spray only lasted maybe 15-20 minutes but was a blast. The food was much better than expected and they gave you garbage bags to put your ski clothes in so they didn't get soaked would not recommend this spot to first time skiers as it is a harder blue to get down.

We've done both the first and second seating before. Wildly different experiences lol but the champagne party is pretty epic. I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. Our server was attentive and got us free hats. Day made! Also the post champagne ski down the mountain was quite possibly the best run of my life . Fantastic experience. We will return

Very great experience with food and drinks

You can't beat the views from Cloud Nine! Having a drink with Maroon Bells in the background is an experience in itself. The prices of everything is also as high as the clouds but it's on top of a mountain in Aspen so what else do you expect at the rich peoples party. The 3pm après-ski party is like nothing I've ever seen! Music bumping, people dancing on tables, and hundreds of dollars of Champagne being sprayed everywhere. Such a fun experience... I will say the inside party was so hot, humid and smelt like straight booze that I almost puked just walking inside. I also got aggressively pushed by a server as I was trying to walk to the bathroom. I'd suggest enjoying the party outside which seemed much more enjoyable. Also, you have to be careful skiing back down to town after champagne galore. Drunk skiers all going down at once is never a good mix.

5 stars to the Chef! Food was outrageously good! It was extremely windy and freezing the day we sat outside. Our water froze in glass during our sunny lunch. Soup and fresh bread was such a good start. We split entrees and I had to add an apple dessert. Come on now.

The coolest ski in/out restaurant ever. Incredible views. Champagne flowing and the DJ always rocking, its a day club on the top of the ski hill. You have to make a reservation a year+ in advance if you want a table inside (which we did not) but got to hang inside for a bit with some new friends we made in line for the bathroom(it was super crowded). Food was average but vibe was 10/10

Cash + Card evidence for tab

Went there over the weekend of January 23rd. Had a great time, but when it came to pay, our group clearly explained that we wanted to pay for our $267 tab with $100 cash, and the rest on a credit card. Our server, Cliff, must've pocketed the cash, as we left a 20% tip in addition to the $267, thinking that he deducted the $100 from the total. The total we were charged for was $317, in addition to the $100 cash we already gave. After explaining this to the credit card company, Cloud Nine has continued to deny our claims, and suggests that there was ever any cash involved. Great location, shady business. Hopefully they turn it around soon.

    Bread, wine, charcuterie, spring salad

Food was amazing. Chicken superb. Salad tasty. Savory bread pudding was amazing. Service is five star. Eating on the deck in the spring is priceless.

You can't make a trip to Aspen without going. Even if you have to ski Highlands just to go. By the way that's the only option for getting there as it is ski in ski out. Pre-Covid there was a famous champagne party which will hopefully be back but in the meantime you can still enjoy the bubbles along with the raclette and fondue among other delicious mountain delicacies. Make a reservation way ahead of time!

How fun was this experience ! If you like to go crazy on the slopes with music and champagne showers but also enjoy tasty alpine cuisine.. then you gotta try Cloud Nine ! Staff was so nice and welcoming. I'd highly recommend this place.

Beautiful on the inside...just gets destroyed with the dancing on tables and Champagne spraying lol

Ask the Community - Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro

Has anyone gone to the noon/11:30am during christmas week? Ive been trying to get the 2 but its so busy and booked, is the earlier one lame?

Hello, I wouldn't call the noon/11:30am "lame" but it's a different experience than the later seating. Romantic and European would be the words I'd use.

How hard is it to get a 2pm seating reservation?

Pretty difficult, especially the week b/w Christmas and New Years' and Presidents' Day Weekend, when you will need to make a reservation for the late seating a month in advance. Other dates prob just a week in advance. The early seating can… Read more
