    Filet of Sole Meuniere. Excellent.
    HOLLY P.

Our group of five had delicious meals in Friday night. I had the prefixed meal for $39.95, which includes a glass of wine or soup, and choice of entree. The French onion soup was delicious. The entrées included vegetable starch and protein. I ordered the sole meuniere (spelling?). You could order either meuniere or piccata style. It was cooked perfectly and was also slightly crispy at the same time. It was outstanding. My mother ordered piccata and she loved it. It was served with au gratin potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables. We all will definitely return as we are thrilled that we just learned they are serving dinners again Thursday through Saturday.

    Duck Maigret Salad

I've eaten here six times over the last few months and I've even altered my usual shopping route to eat here. The third time I ate there I had a Duck Maigret Salad that was just out of this world. Then I followed up with a vanilla custard filled tart and a cup of coffee. Wow, everything was just superb. To avoid unneeded carbs, I switched to salads and just had the Duck Maigret Salad with the usual tart and coffee. We eat out a great deal and, no matter the price point, the food here is the equal of any restaurant. The service was unhurried, we had coffee refills and I lingered over the custard tart, loathe to finish it. I was stunned over the comment that said there was a $15 'fee' added. There is a fee for credit card usage that offsets the transaction charge that the cc company makes. My fee for a lunch was $1.50. There is some mistake being made somewhere.

    Cute French dècor.

Stopped in for lunch, and had a nice experience. Breakfast is served from 8am until 11am (Noon on Sunday), then they switch to the lunch menu until 4:30pm. Not open for dinner. They have indoor and patio dining areas, and the parking is plentiful. FOOD: We ordered the Breakfast Croissant with fruit, the Cordon Bleu Sandwich with fries, and the Duck Sandwich with salad. The croissant was very good. The sandwiches were served on a French baguette, which was a nice change from the last sandwich I had here. They were decent, but we felt that both could have used a little more butter, mayo, horseradish, or some other spread. The service is good, so you just have to ask for something, and it's no problem getting it quickly. BAKERY: One of the main reasons we visit is to pick up wonderful items from their bakery. The pastries and desserts are not only visually beautiful, but they're also C'est très magnifique! TIP: The bakery sells out of many items quickly, so don't wait too late into the morning/early afternoon to visit. We enjoy this little café, and I'm sure we'll be back.

I thought I would get a cute design lol

It's okay for the desert. Pancakes are good. My husband ordered coffee taste like a basic coffee. Probably not. Would I go back?

Was in town and came here for breakfast and was not disappointed. But we did have to wait for a table on a Friday morning at 10:00am which was surprising but it's a small cafe inside. The menu is great with so many options and great authentic French food options! I got simple scrambled eggs with French fries and got the hot chocolate. The food came fast and taste so fresh and delicious! The hot chocolate was so good! Afterwards got a croissant to go and was so good too! They have a little bakery area to get macaroons and pastries. It's also a very cute little cafe and for sure will be coming back next time I am in town. Prices are high but for the area it's what I expected.

They had some fairly steady stream of customers, some were regulars and some were first-timers like me. Next time I will try one of the salads which I saw and it looked amazing. The menu is thoughtfully curated, showcasing French cuisine with creative and modern twists that make each dish feel distinctive. The beef tartare is a must-order for anyone who enjoys raw beef. Its flavor and texture are unlike any tartare I've had before. The beef is incredibly silky and smooth--almost pâté-like in consistency--while still retaining its freshness. Paired with their baguette, it creates a well-balanced and memorable bite. The elk was an ambitious choice, but it was executed exceptionally well. In fact, the chef mentioned that it is one of the dishes he is most proud of, and it is easy to see why. The dish paired elk cooked to a perfect level with a reduction sauce that didn't mask the taste of the meat. While the main courses were excellent, the desserts and side dishes did not quite reach the same standard. If those elements were elevated to match the quality and creativity of the restaurant's standout dishes, I could easily see this restaurant being worthy of a Michelin star.

And more... It's truly a special place. I wish we could go every week, but it's not so impossibly priced that you can't go at least once a month. Freddie is always there with warmth and humor, and both gentlemen we've had as servers have been well informed and service-oriented. We never drive down this section of 111 when coming from Mission Lakes. We usually take Indian Canyon and then we turn on Vista Chino. For years, we have actually missed seeing this wonderful restaurant, but one day we just decided to explore and go a different way, and there it was. You can't miss that sign. We were in a mood for something good, and boy, did we find it. Freddie and his kitchen have our hearts.
