Came here for a group outing on a Friday evening with a reservation (this place was quite busy, so would definitely recommend making a reservation). There are three dining areas at the restaurant - one outside and two inside. Service and Staff: - Our waitress was helpful in making sure we had everything we needed, answering our questions, etc. Food an Drinks: - Bolognese: I'm not a big fan of German food, so I was debating between the bolognese and burger. The bolognese was simple, but filling and tasty - Jagerschnitzel: filling, tasty, and hit the spot - Alps Skewer: comes with chicken or shrimp. The display is kind of fun with the chicken hanging on the skewer Miscellaneous: - Plenty of parking via a parking lot that wraps around the restaurant - Good for small and larger groups (our group had nine people) - Check out the fun wine barrel chairs

Delicous, hearty dinner at Alps Village did not disappoint. I ordered the Stuffed Cabbage Rolls with Spätzle (like tiny dumplings) which were rich and savory. On a whim, I also ordered a serving of the White Cake to go; what a delicious, frothy confection incluing fruits and nuts. Ambiance is half European restaurant, half happy hour spot. Service was friendly; however, I specifically asked my server to check me in on the reservation app I used to book my spot at the bar. He didn't, which then causes problems with the app. Otherwise, great experience. Free ample parking in the lot.

So we finally had the opportunity to try this German restaurant which I was impressed & pleased with what we had! I ordered the pretzel with the cheese spread to start off with which was very good! The pretzel was very soft inside & had a nice crisp finish on the outside! Loved it! For the main course I ordered the beef goulash with the spaetzel noodle which had a nice pan seared to it & paired nicely with the goulash! I still had some pretzel left & I used to dip in the goulash! To finish of I ordered the apple strudel which came with vanilla ice cream! The servings/portions were pretty big but we thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Overall good experience & enjoyed the ambiance. The service was very good & friendly! Our server with the nice Eastern European accent was great & I really liked her,! I think we will surely return!

Best kept secret in Palm Desert. The most delicious German/Austrian food in a beautiful European setting. Hidden in a quiet building, Alps menu is bountiful. Goulash, Wienerschnitzel, sausage, cabbage rolls, so much more. Try and save room for the apple strudel and German chocolate cake. Family run warm service.

First time here today for Restaurant Week. I made reservations ahead of time for 5 pm. We were seated immediately. Service was excellent & friendly. Cute decor. Restaurant isn't too big. For some reason, I've never been here. My mom brought Oma a few times. I'm part German but it's honestly not my favorite food. Our server was fantastic. She said she'd put in a drink order I'd like & it was a good peach martini. My husband enjoyed his espresso martini. I had the chicken cabbage soup which was tasty. My husband had the sourdough Bavarian pretzel. It was perfect. I had chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes & it was perfectly prepared. My husband had goulash & he really enjoyed it. Portions are big. We both had to ask for take out boxes. To finish, we both had the Apple strudel which was very underwhelming. Aldi actually has a MUCH better strudel in their frozen section that you can bake at home. Overall, we had a great visit. I'm glad we stopped in for Restaurant Week.

We've eaten here several times and have had some good meals and fantastic service. Alps Village lets you experience authentic flavors of Europe, especially the rich and diverse flavors of German and Balkan cuisine. The décor and atmosphere are rustic, cozy, and take me back to the gasthaus experiences when visiting my relatives in Deutschland (Germany). Parking is aplenty in their private lot. NOTE: They do close for the summer months, so check their website (www.alpsvillage.com) for details. SERVICE: On almost all of our visits, Z ("Zarinka") has been our waitress, but the entire staff is friendly and assists as one big team. DRINKS: They have a full bar and some delightful beers on tap, and selections of domestic and foreign beers in bottles. FOOD: I will say that our first experience was only okay (excellent service, but average food). Our return visits were due to my Yelp friend, Dennis W.'s review and insistence that it was worthy of another try. I'm glad we did, as repeated follow up visits provided us a chance to try many different menu items, and we've now found dishes more suited to our palates. We've tried the Jagerschnitzels, pork and veal, each was served with spatzele and literally a fork full of red cabbage (suggest to chefs that a little more be served). We also ordered a side of the cucumber salad, which was prepared a little differently than most German restaurants (and what I grew up with), but tasty, nonetheless. My mother-in-law had an appetizer portion of chicken wings, which were good. Some of the other dishes we've tried are Goulash Soup, Schnitzel a la Holstein, Octopus Schnitzel, Lamb Chops, and Cheeseburger. Everything is well prepared, and most are quite tasty. Desserts are excellent as well, and due to the size of the entrees, they can easily be shared. Consistent excellent service, good food, and reasonable prices bring us back time and time again. Thanks Alps Village!

Stopped by Alps Village in Palm Desert and ordered an Ožujsko beer along with the ćevapčići served with lepinja bread, kajmak, and roasted potatoes. The ćevapčići were juicy and well seasoned, cooked just right and perfect with the soft lepinja bread. The kajmak was rich and creamy and paired really well with both the meat and the roasted potatoes. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside, making the plate feel complete. The Ožujsko beer was cold and refreshing and fit the meal perfectly. The atmosphere felt relaxed and authentic, especially if you enjoy Balkan food and drinks. Service was friendly and welcoming, making it an easy place to settle in and enjoy a proper meal. Zrinka, the owner is the most kindest person and a delight.

A delicious dinner with great company! My friends and I visited on a Friday evening.. we sat out on the patio, which was perfect for late May! This was a return visit for me but first for my group.. what a treat! Everyone raved about their selections. We shared several items, all in agreement of amazing flavors and generous portions. Our server was Zee, who as a delight! She was not only taking care of our table but genuinely conversed with us! Same with the rest of the team. I can't wait to be back!! This is one place that is a must during Restaurant Week, or any occasion! 10/10! A+++

Hidden gem. Came here on a whim Monday night. Highly recommend making a reservation, this place gets pretty busy. They have outdoor seating- great for warm evenings. Interior has a rustic feel. Service was great. We ordered beer and appetizer - bratwurst pizza; followed by Veal Medallions (tender), Chicken Paprikash (tasty), and Pork Schnitzel (yum); and of course dessert, German Chocolate Cake - moist and delicious. We were rolling out the restaurant!!

We originally had planned to be there at 6:15 but due to traffic we weren't able to get there until almost 7. We called to let Daniel know and he was totally chill. Once we got there, we found a quaint restaurant with 3 other tables filled and great smells coming from the kitchen. Daniel soon brought over the menu board, and talked about some highlights. We took are time to pick two starters (dates and shrimp), a cesar salad, and then we got the short rib and the lamb. I cannot recall the specific dish names, but I can say they were spectacular! The flavors were deep and complex, the balance perfect. My wife wanted red wine, he let her try two before she chose her favorite for the night. We ended with a small scoop of the vanilla and it was amazing. Throughout the dinner, Daniel checked in on us and talked, it was great to have that connection with the chef.
