    Went with a party of two and tried the tasting menu with the higher end wine pairing at the later seating. Cozy restaurant. Service was on point and so was the food and wine. The only dish we didn't love was the dessert which was inspired by orange.

    By far my favorite restaurant in Paris. It's a must you go there and try the food! Everything is perfect and they know their wines! The service was amazing the people were great and I love the place. It's a big small but work the wait

    IF you happen to be traveling to Paris, do yourself the biggest favor and reserve a seat at Frenchie. Reservations are a must as it books quickly, so get one once it becomes available. The restaurant itself is small and intimate with staff readily available, present and there for whatever you may need. With each dish, they explain exactly what you'll be eating, how it is prepared, and even thought behind the dish Speaking of the dishes, there is no set menu, so you won't know what you're getting prior to arrival. You won't even know when you're sitting down. You aren't able to order individual items, it is a pre-fixe menu determined by the chef on that day, so each day may be a completely different meal. You'll know what you're eating when it arrives at the table and the server explains it to you. Rest assured, each dish is well thought out, from the textures on each bite to the flavor profiles melding together in your mouth. Even the difference in temperature of different items on the plate pairing together in the mouth and how that plays it with the complexity of each bite. It's just so very good, something to savor with each course. Such a wonderful meal, phenomenal chef and amazing experience. Definitely a must try when in Paris

    Really nice ambience.. nice, casual, yet upscale feel. We sat at the bar so could see all of the intricate food prep! All of the dishes were beautifully presented & tasted great. They even offered gluten free bread to my friend who has a gluten intolerance. Great service, great food, great ambience.. what more do you need?! To get a reservation you need to be on their site right at 10 am (Paris time) 3 weeks in advance.

    Made a reservation online about three weeks out and came for dinner in August 2023. Won't go too much into detail because the menu rotates, but the 5-course tasting was excellent - everything was super creative, flavorful and fun. A standout was the rosemary sorbet interlude, as well as the chicken course. Service was great, but didn't love that they started herding us out of there the second dessert hit the table so they could prepare for the next seating (we were part of the earlier one). We headed across the street to their wine bar where we happily kept the night going, but the end of the tasting was definitely a little abrupt. 4.5 stars.

    Situated on the quaint street of Rue de Nil, this is a hard Resy to get. If you're lucky enough to snag one, I recommend taking it. Leave some time to browse the street which is a cooperative of butcher, fromagerie, bakery, wine shop, chocolate store etc. and don't skip purchasing some treats at Plaq! I had extraordinary expectations of this place and for the most part, it delivered. It is an understatement to say the space is tiny. We had a nice table by the window/front door which gave us a view of the kitchen. The service is lovely and aims to please. Be forewarned that Frenchie designs a unique prix fixe menu at $140Euro per person. They can accommodate allergens but there is no choice of menu. We did one wine pairing to split between the two of us. The amuse bouche was essentially an entire course...they provide three composed plated bites. The mussel was the highlight. We then had an asparagus entree which was good, but not amazing. The sorbet accompaniment was delicious. The tuna course was also quite good and very pretty on the plate. The fish plat (John Dory) was nice, but the supplemental caviar didn't really add the salt and texture I was hoping for. What was not featured in the pictures below was a second plat (main) which was brand new to the menu-only 2 days old. It was a chicken two ways-tiny piece of breast with skin on and a fried ball of chicken confit. It looked a bit clunky on the plate and the flavors didn't work for me. The breast was rubbery and pink inside. We did bring it to their attention. The fried confit was just too fatty and rich for me. They appreciated the feedback when offered. The desserts were wonderful to say the least. The wine pairing was so thoughtful and the woman explaining the pairing was terrific. Save for the misstep of the new chicken dish, Frenchie is a great spot. It is a nice intimate experience and they clearly aim to change up the experience frequently.

    You've heard things about this place. Dirty, dirty things. And those rumors were very well founded. This place ends up doing things to you that you've never experienced in your life: easily one of the best dining experiences you've ever had. This place only does a tasting menu: 5 courses, but you know right away that was a fucking lie. Amuse Bouche: a trio. A "bao" of Roquefort cheese and a sour cherry, a mini tart of apple and celery, and a prepared oyster with cauliflower espuma (foam). Your mouth is very amused. Course #1. Foie Gras with bok choy, snow pea, charred broccoli, and blood orange segements. The richness of the foie perfectly balanced by the vegetables. A great start. The rustic white with orange rind in it helps bring this all together. Course #2. Langostino tortellini with citrus and a langostino broth. Your mind is reeling from how perfectly prepared and perfectly balanced this dish is. You lick the last drops of broth off of your mistress' boot. The 2010 white wine paired with this exquisite. Course #3. Scallops with a purée of kale and a coffee vinegar. (Side note: the coffe used was the same coffee mentioned in Coffee Porn #5). The scallop is perfectly firm yet soft in your mouth. The balance struck between kale and coffee is mind boggling. The Grand Cru Riesling from Alsace finished with notes of ginger at the end? Phenomenal. Course #4. Lamb 2 ways: A mini lamb loin on the bone and a lamb tenderloin stuffed with nuts and citrus finished with a lamb jus. The Syrah paired with the lamb beautifully. Secret Course #1: mini pita with braised lamb and crema. Arguably better than the amazing lamb dish you just had. Secret Course #2: cheese course. Specifically, a triple cream brie with apple and a Brie foam with pomegranate seeds. Incredibly inventive and successful way to serve cheese. Course #5. Chocolate cake with an avocado cream and mango tuiles. The chocolate: dark and rich. The avocado breaks up the richness while the mango's sharpness balances the whole thing. Secret Course #3. Apricot gelée candy piece, chocolate caramel chew, and chocolate piece. You knew these sneaky fuckers weren't sticking to 5 courses. This meal was the perfect balance of excellent service, perfectly prepared and executed food, and the perfect amount of food. Truly one of the greatest meals had by anyone.

    This is a Michelin rated restaurant. Each food item is a work of art with bold flavors. The chef takes time on presentation and the wine pairing menu. Affordable for someone looking to splurge a little on a date night. I want a huge fan of the ambiance. For such a small place I didn't feel transported or understand the theme. As much as I enjoyed the food, many items didn't seem incredibly memorable to come again. Definitely a try once kind of place for me.

    Frenchie Restaurant just completely changed my perspective of the French way of fine dinning in Paris. This place is cozy and servers were all very friendly, all with a real smile on their face. All the dishes were exceptional, ingredients are to the freshiest, combined with the premium wine pairings made my friend cried over the dinner table. The dishes bought us to a different level of tastefulness. Tough to secure a table online, reservations opened up 3 weeks in advance. A must go fine dinning spot in Paris!

    Wow, what a culinary delight. Frenchie is a very small restaurant located in an alley filled with chef Gregory Marchand establishments (wine bar, more casual FTG). The restaurant has a very warm, intimate, and almost homey-like ambiance that's not common of most Michelin-rated restaurants. Frenchie takes a more casual approach to fine dining, making the very elevated course meal feel more approachable. We were blown away by the service (employees all seemed so genuinely committed to providing the best experience) and every single course that came out. Starting with the amuse bouche that was visually impressive but also tasted unique and delicious, every single course was a visual work of art but equally matched in flavor and execution. Appreciated the introduction and use of some unique techniques and flavors/pairings and the entire meal was a delightful journey.

    This was my favorite meal while vacationing in France with my husband. The chef visited all the tables before dinner began and he was most down-to-earth, sweet man. You could tell he cared a lot about his patrons' experience and was so glad he was a cool dude. We had an array of unique dishes, many with ingredients we normally would avoid. We ate everything and loved every bite. The sommelier was also super cool and I loved the wine pairings she recommended. I can't recall the details of every dish we had and appreciate that the menu changes based on seasonality and availability. The entire course flowed perfectly and I loved the surprises by a lot of the dishes. I prefer 1 michelin star restaurants because they don't go overboard with the dining experience and am glad this place didn't either. There are definitely unique and innovative creations coming out of this kitchen, but nothing that will leave your stomach unsettled. The restaurant is hard to find so allow extra time to get there. With all the michelin starred restaurants in Paris, I'm so glad we chose a solid one! Thank you French for a beautiful meal.

    Shrimp with squash

    So very disappointed with this meal. I've been looking forward to going here forever and was excited to get a reservation. The real let down was the food. The wine pairing was great. Service was great. Ambiance was ok. It is apparent that the chefs have great skill and the playing was beautiful, but the dishes were terrible. There wasn't a single one that was memorable or delicious. Started with some amuse. The razor clam with cauliflower and lemon confit were ok. There was a tartar with maybe some truffle oil that was ok. Then a tartlet with pineapple that I don't know what they were trying to do. Next course was shrimp with squash in several forms. I believe the shrimp was raw or just well under cooked. It tasted a little fishy and none of the sauces were memorable. There was an ice cream made with the shrimp insides and squash that just tasted muddy and a squash puree that was one note. The tobiko and finger lime did not add enough acid and salt to make it interesting. Next dish was a mushroom ravioli, with a well seared king mushroom and a mushroom broth with sage oil. This was one of the better dishes, but that's not saying a lot. The filling was mushroom and tamarind and still very muted with the flavor. The broth was nice and the sear mushroom was good. The other elements were nothing noteworthy. The fish dish was next with a monk fish covered in spices and seared on a grill, treated like steak. I really just wanted a well cooked fish (not a reference to the temp but just a flakey fish). and got more of a medium rare dish. Again the sauces and accompaniments on the plate were not note worthy. The stuffed cabbage leaf was very fishy and the crisp kale is the only thing that saved it. Was not happy with this. The poultry dish was probably the best dish of the night. The rich chicken jus with foie was excellent. There was a chicken terrine that was excellent and a celery and bell pepper millie fuille was good. The sauce here is what was missing on all the other dishes, something rich with umami that made you want to lick the plate or ask for more. Dessert was ok with a vermouth theme throughout. It was paired very well with a vermouth drink and a small foamy cup that was a take on a Negroni. The grapes and grape sorbet were rich and the mascarpone with vermouth jelly was good as well. Overall I'm super disappointed. The accompaniments to the dishes were all very muted. Almost none of the sauces stood out. There was no one dish that I would ever come back for. Given the cost of the meal this is probably the worst Michelin star experience I've ever had. Everything around the food was fantastic, but I'm here for the dishes. Frenchie obviously has a great reputation and I has expanded well in its little area. I'm guessing I had an off night for the food as the service and wine was excellent. Will not be coming back and will tell people to avoid. I never write reviews, but this experience was terrible enough to warrant one.

I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine. If I was mistaken, please post photos and just tell me that I was part of some elaborate joke to ruin a lunch for me and my wife.

But he was friendly ( oh, and easy on the eyes). I liked the quiet location out of the chaotic fray, like up the street, with all its smoking and volume. PS This is lover's type of location. Even the dark end of the small street feels illicit!
