Visited this spot because of a IG review of Frenchy's. We're out in Houston for a wedding and wanted something fairly close to the hotel. This review is purely on the food. The chicken was ok. I have had better, but it was not nasty. The fries vibed descent as well, but they're not memorable. My wife actually really likes the red beans and rice so that was a plus. Tried this spot out for chicken, and it didn't disappoint. The food was so fresh and delicious, ended up having to share more chicken with my daughter, their chicken is the best! Ive been on the earth a long time. I know refried chicken when I see it and taste it. My mother wanted some chicken and she use to love Frenchys in her hey day. So I treated her to some at the franchise in Katy..,but we are so disappointed. So I call to tell the manager of our experience and she told me she's been there all day and the chicken was not refried. She said bring the chicken back, it's a 15 min drive. I bought a family box for $27. And the fries didn't have any of the Frenchys seasoning! Just awful. They're cutting corners and being rude to customers. Having franchises are great, but corporate really should regulate better. The brand is what suffer. I'm never going back, awful food and even more awful customer service. 4.5 Chicken tenders were cooked to order. Juicy and seasoned well. Fries were fantastic too and substantially more than what other places give in boxes. I have only been to eat at this location once and the experience was average. I have recently had a bad experience once I encountered the manager Brenda. My son was working there and she fired him for calling off twice she say. He had a meeting with her and she was very unprofessional and did not really have grounds to stand on. I can't imagine if she treats her employees this way how she manages the store or solve customer service conflict. She mentioned another worker during his meeting which sent a red flag. Now the issue seems to not be the call off but discrimination. We will be talking so someone else in the future but the management here does not represent Frenchy's in a positive manner. read more

My only 2 gripes: no hot sauce available and remoulade sauce would've been great with boudin balls. Wassup y'all so I gotta tell y'all about this place frenchy's. I happened to order the family meal 8pc wit 4rolls "large" red beans and rice extra emphasis on "large". I paid 27.27 for this and man do I feel finessed. That large red beans I spoke about was so small a child can eat it alone. And don't get me started on the chicken the chicken was seasoned but it wasn't crispy. It's was battered like it was made at home and not restaurant quality at all. Maaaaan when I tell u that shit looked like it was just dipped in flour then grease it was pathetic. The best thing was the dinner roll. Chicken was soggy and the beans tasted like it was out of a can. Frenchy's? More like TRASHY's. Save y'all money I could've went to Kroger for chicken and dinner rolls for the same price if not cheaper. It's criminal how bad the experience was. The whole point of me ordering out is not only out of convenience but for something that's better than wat I can do for myself. Never eating here again. We have been eating Frenchy's Chicken for many years and this is the first time we have had a problem with them. THIS IS THE WORSE LOCATION I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! On Wednesday my daughter stopped by this location to buy chicken and some sides. While placing orders numbers 120 and 121 the person at the window repeated both orders but after my daughter brought them home we noticed one of the order was wrong and the other order had pieces of chicken that had not cooked properly. The chicken was red and bloody. My daughter called and was told to come back and pick up a new order. But I called and spoke with Zora and she was rude, argumentative and very arrogant. I explained to her that my daughter ordered a two piece with drumsticks only and red beans and rice for me but Instead I was given a wing and thigh which are pieces I do not eat. The red beans and rice were dry and looked old. She basically told me that she did not care even when I told her that I was going to contact the corporate office. The next day my daughter went and talked to the day manager and her order was replaced with no problem. When I went to get my order I was met with vengeance so I had to ask my daughter to come in and handle the issue. They made phone calls and whisper among themselves and finally after my daughter couldn't take it anymore and became frustrated and spoke rude to them, they decided to give the right order. The Asian lady was the worst of them all. Their attitudes were horrible and their customer service was below average. I will only go to that location during daytime. Where to start. First of all cashier who obviously did not like her job shorted 1 dollar. I had to show her The chicken meal was 8. 49 and she gave $10.51 in change. The chicken was just OK- tepid the white meat(breast) was good juicy and crisp but the dark meat(thigh) was flacid and greasy. The roll was plain and stale. The collard greens were under done and lacked seasoning. They need salt, pepper,red chile flake, vinegar and smoke. I asked for pepper, salt and pepper sauce and she said they did not have any.The Jalapeno was good crisp and spicy but the Iced tea had no ice and no tea it was barely colored water with no taste at all. I'm going to be generous here because Frenchy's and the Creuzot family are pillars of our community. For decades their chicken has been second to none. Something you can only get when you come to this great city of Houston. However, over the last few years since they've expanded and started franchising, the product just doesn't hit like it used to. Even the location on Scott doesn't quite have the "umph" that it once had. Like the Scott location now, the Katy location too has TINY pieces of chicken. The chickens that Frenchys uses now are half the size they used to be. Each time I go, the pieces get smaller and smaller while the prices get higher and higher. Don't get me wrong, the service here was great, but even Stevie Wonder can see that the chickens being used by Frenchys are WAY smaller now. No lie, I had some of the tiniest drum sticks and wings I've ever seen. What's the deal with that? People are noticing this and word is spreading fast. I'm a give this FOUR stars and yes I'm petty as to why. I was in town for the week and I was super happy Frenchy's opened up by my crib I was sad it open when I moved out of town but maybe a good thing because I would have ordered a lot. I ordered the 5 wings and I wasn't disappointed the seasoning is always on point the sizes of the wings were just right not too small or on steroids were they are humongous. The fries were good too. The cornbread was not warm at all actually I didn't like the cornbread I tried it before and it was good but this time dry. Before I left out of town I went back and got some more wings and the shrimp lovers I would have got the catch of the day but never heard of that type of fish so I stuck with what I knew. I tried the cornbread again cold and dry. Aside from the cornbread my other complaint is NO HOT SAUCE. Now COME ON MAN YAWLL KNOW GOOD AND DAMN WELL MOST PEOPLE PUT HOT SAUCE ON SOME CHICKEN WANGS!!!!!!!! You guys invest in Frenchy plastic bags I strongly suggest adding hot sauce packets and NOT just ketchup to the orders. My husband sent me dinner from Frenchy's via Uber Eats. I received the food in less than 20 minutes which we were both shocked but like ok. I was given old, spoiled red beans and rice. It tasted funny and then I noticed a spoiled smell. I called them to let them know and I'm not sure if the lady that answered spoke English or not but she acted as if she did not and or understand me. I let her know I had an Uber eats delivery and my order with red beans and rice (which was an up charge) was spoiled. She did not apologize and said well what do you want? Wow...what a disappointment. I've never had Frenchy's before, as I don't eat out to often, but have heard great things about this establishment. We decided to give it a try since they opened a location here in Katy. We walk in and were not even greeted, just stared at. No other customers inside or in the drive-thru. They have 7 employees working and one on a break and they still can't get the order right. We waited and waited for the food. Really don't understand what took so long since no one is there. Apparently it takes 20 minutes to fry 5 chicken tenders. The other chicken meal we ordered with sides had been sitting out getting cold while we waited for the tenders. We finally receive our order and I have to remind them about the drink they didn't give me for the chicken tender meal. We had to ask them to replace the 8 pieces of chicken that we ordered because it was cold to the touch. We get home and the new batch of chicken is luke warm at best. We ordered the mashed potatoes and beans. Didn't receive the beans got rice instead. Both tasted like it had been sitting out. Had to reheat both and they still didn't taste very good. The chicken has a nice seasoning, but tasted chewy. The only thing hot was the tenders. Won't be going back and will not recommend this establishment. read more
