I have been a loyal customer for five years. I am currently under the weather and I wanted a protein shake. I accidentally ordered for pick up and changed to delivery adding an additional $5.00 to come down the hill. I was staying at the Marriott nearby and needed something quick to eat after a long travel day. The employee at the check in desk told me about this spot and a salad sounded great. It's a salad chain similar to Sweetgreen/CoreLife. I decided on the Shanghai chicken salad, with roasted chicken, edamame, scallions, almonds, cilantro, red cabbage, romaine and miso sesame vinaigrette. They have lots of other stuff on the menu like grain bowls, soups, sandwiches, etc. My salad was made quickly and I was on my way. The salad was a large portion and pretty tasty, but quite salty. The chicken was a little weird - it tasted like canned chicken but was in a strip shape. Not bad, but not quite what I was expecting. My office has had catering from fresh&co before so I've had a few of these sandwiches, I like the crispy chicken one and this steak sandwich one. It was pretty good, tastes a bit like a sandwich version of French onion soup. The catering also comes with a salad that's alright and a fruit platter. My favorite thing though is their Mac and cheese which occasionally gets ordered, and when it does I get so excited. It had bread crumbs and jalapeños on it omggg I love it. I get to the register and was told I needed some other kind of code and to place the order online for pick up and then the promo would come off. THE PROMO DID NOT COME OFF. I love fresh&co locations in Manhattan and just learned about this location in Westchester. I've had the chance to try the food from this location on numerous occasions. Fresh&co offers a variety of healthy meals such as salads, grain bowls, market table entrees and sandwiches. So far I've tried the falafel bowl, southwest bowl with chipotle lime dressing. I selected wild rice for both. The southwest bowl was very satisfying and tasty. I'm not a fan of the charred broccoli which can be added as a side for the grain bowls and market entrees. I would suggest grilling or sautéing the broccoli instead as the charred flavor isn't too fun to eat. I've also tried the tomato pesto (aka caprese) sandwich. This is my favorite sandwich of all so I have high standards for it. Fresh & Co's caprese sandwich was average and the pesto needed salt. The sweet potato is fantastic here and the mac n cheese is of the creamy variety but not uber cheesy. The falafel is one of the best I've tasted. I'm giving this location four stars because I appreciate Fresh & Co's healthy dishes and the fact that they are vegan and vegetarian friendly. The store is clean and the workers are helpful. It does get busy but the line goes quickly. Stop by and try em out! read more

This is a great place to pick up a quick healthy meal on the go. The three times that I have ordered here so far the food has always been fresh and delicious. I generally have had my orders delivered. On one occasion I actually visited the restaurant to pick up an order that I placed online. The staff seemed friendly. The location appeared to be really clean. The pickup was painless. The price is about right for the quality ingredients that you get. I normally get either the bowls,salad or the Mac and cheese. This was not at all as advertised really terrible. I got a BLT.. The lettuce is disgusting and wilted completely. The whole thing was wrapped so incorrectly that it just soggy and limp and so hot for a BLT that everything is just so disgusting. I'm convinced the bacon was microwaved and then put into the sandwich hot which wilted everything and made everything else disgusting. Even the bread is not the same bread. The tomatoes are tiny and are definitely not heirloom. The bacon is limp and tastes terrible. Truly disgusting. Also I got a side of mac and cheese and it was Stone Cold clearly microwave and smells sour. I ordered from this place thinking that it would have higher quality and I wanted to treat myself to something a little better. After I complained about it to seamless the restaurant refused to give me any kind of discount on the order or refund my order. New addition to the plaza here and it is a welcome new spot. I like the sushi and taco spot next door but Fontina is average at best. This brings a quick service concept to a place where people are looking to get in and out on their lunch break. First off the place is clean and spacious. They have all sorts of food from salads to hot food to sandwiches. It was kinda pricey honestly for what I got. My hot plate cost $20 and I didn't feel like I got anything crazy. The food was fresh and delicious though so it made up for it. The falafel, roasted beets, and cauliflower were legit. I went with the bowl that came with a choice of a base. I went with the kale which is my favorite green. A lot of options for vegetarians and meat lovers. My friend said the salmon was fresh, flaky, and flavorful. I ordered a smoothie for the first time, it was a super green smoothie, it wasn't my favorite, but not bad, my dates weren't blended well.I have a photo of my dates at the bottom of the cup. The ingredients are, Spinach Kale Avocado Strawberries Dates Almond milk Almond butter Dates Chocolate whey. History has been made as Fresh & Co. has their first location outside of NYC a week ago, in Westchester County, NY, specifically Yonkers! Yonkers is where I'm from, and where this Fresh & Co is, it's right by my house. Only a 5 min drive or so They are located at the Boyce Thompson Center at 1086 North Broadway. The center itself has other great places for vegans, but this place tops it all. They have plenty of vegan options that it would take a while to name them all and eat them all too. They are even environmentally-conscious which is another vegan plus I had to get their new Fall special which was in perfect timing so I didn't have to go into the city to try it: The Impossible Burrito Bowl! Everything about this bowl is vegan down to the NACHO CHEESE I mixed mine up as I do with all my bowls and... I prefer this over Chipotle (and that says A LOT). The flavors felt more fresh and more like I was eating something more filling and worth my money. I highly recommend this bowl to anyone. Even the cheese is perfect, can't tell it's vegan Walking in as well, it's hard to believe I'm in Yonkers and not Manhattan. Where to begin..., unfortunately this will be a buzzkill. Due to the volume of observations and issues, I'll just list some at random, kind of like how they serve their food. The place is very difficult to find tucked in the corner of the Boyce Thompson Center. You might be lucky if you can't find it. I had looked for Fresh& in the past unsuccessfully. For a place named Fresh& with a salad feature, they have shockingly few salads to choose from, 6 I believe. And of those six salads, none of them represent a must have salad, and arguably a want to have salad. It did not seem I could just choose some number of ingredients have them mix it and then pay them by the pound or some other method as many other salad operations will allow. My preparer's interpretation of light to medium dressing is more what I'd consider lettuce drowning, but that could be just me. The salad 15 minutes after it was prepared, allowing for time to get home and ready to eat, was very limp and sloppy. When I make my own Romaine based salads, I can leave dressing on for 15 minutes without an effect even close to that. I wonder then the condition of the lettuce that they're actually using??? The Mexican Caesar that I chose did not work flavor-wise. The combinations of ingredients were not symbiotic / complimentary. It was also not well mixed (the 1/2"avocado was in three pieces at the bottom). There is a overall sense of amateurishness about this operation. For example, the flow, it's not clear exactly how you're supposed to get which food. People are kind of making it up on the fly with the assistance of staff saying do you want hot or do you want cold food? Moreover the hot food is presented in casserole like dishes kind of haphazardly strewn about, reminiscent of an everyday potluck at a family get together. They fast heat (assume it is a commercial microwave) once your hot foods are selected in yor bowl. Further, they cut proteins on only one small, messy area that's about 10 inches wide and 2 ft long. If you're hoping for a particular taste without some others salmon or whatever, you're out of luck. Makes me wonder who came up with the flow and layout on this restaurant... for that reason and numbers of others. Cleanliness is an obvious issue. The pots being used in the back (in the line of sight) are heavily soiled / blackened, the grill top and hood do not look well cleaned (being very kind). A preparation being made of something with a batter perhaps in a large bowl was being stirred by somebody with a mask half on. As I casually watched waiting for my turn, he appeared to get his hands in deeper than his hand only gloves. Even if not the case, it was not an appropriate amount of material for the size of bowl, and he was not mixing it well, and could not mix it well. I kept having this vision of Chef Gordon Ramsay coming in this place and saying, "C'mon guys, you're going to kill somebody. Shut this place down. Now." I suspect the popularity of this place has more to do with the areas limited number of offerings. I suppose it may be better than the Applebees around the corner, maybe? read more

New place in The Boyce Thompson Center that has salads, sandwiches and different bowls. They serve breakfast and lunch. I got the Huevos Rancheros bowl without avacado and I added sweet potato hash. The chipotle aioli adds a nice level of spice. Their is some lime added as well which brightens up the dish. I went with egg whites but I am sure this bowl would be great with an over easy egg.
