This was such a good poke place! I was very happy with the portion size and the flavor. The price was a little higher than what I usually pay at my favorite place but I definitely feel like I paid for higher quality and SO MUCH FOOD! I loved the crab salad and the flavor profiles you can create with the different toppings. The spicy mayo was a little spicier than I thought it would be so I'll probably my get less next time. LOVE their flavoring!! Their sauces are so flavorful and the fish is very fresh. We've known the owners of this spot for awhile just from coming back so often, & they have other restaurants in the area that definitely do not disappoint. They are very friendly folks and know exactly what they're doing when it comes to top notch flavor and their wonderful sauces. This is second visit here, and I like the place. Reason why I give it 3 stars is because I think they can do a better job with adding the sauces to your Poke. If you're someone who likes a lot of sauces on your protein or likes to add it on to the toppings and bases, then you're going to need to tell them that. Second time here. First time the fish was good and I was happy with my meal. However this time the fish was not fresh.... When I got to the store the fish didn't look fresh. Especially albacore and tuna. Their salmon had a shine that was little skeptical as well... however since I was there I decided to trust it and go salmon and tuna. While eating and working on my laptop I noticed an odd taste. Usually when eat while working I hardly notice the taste until it is really noticeable and this time it was that noticeable that I actually spit it out. I then took another sample bite (pretty small) and decided to avoid the fish all together. Since I didn't have time to go and get a new lunch, I decided to finish the greens only. I don't think I will ever go back... I don't like writing bad reviews but I think they really need to be careful when they deal with raw food. Great poke! I tried fresh box for the first time a few days ago. The staff was friendly and the counter was very clean, a must for a place that sells raw fish! I had a two item poke bowl to go. Price was very reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. The salmon and yellowtail were tasty and fresh, and all the toppings were on point. They charge for avocado which is annoying, but it seems most poke places do these days. I will definitely return for some excellent and well priced poke! read more

The other poke place by Todos Santos jips me every time I go there. I end up paying $30 for food a child won't even get full off of. Another poke spot in the east bay FTW!! The concept is pretty much like the other poke spots. Pick your protein, toppings, and sauce. I like that they use boxes which is more environmentally friendly. They are also very generous with their portions. Don't be fooled at how small the box looks because they completely pack it to the max! Location wise, it's kinda in a dead area of the park plaza shopping center so it can be overlooked. The fish was so fresh, employees gave generous servings, the sauces were spot on, even the rice was perfectly cooked...all we could talk about as we scarfed it down was how GOOD everything tasted. Hands down the best Poke I've had. Since writing this review I've been back 5 times. You can taste the quality of their ingredients. Big fan of their ice cream sandwiches as well. Obviously poke will be a bit pricier than other options for a lunch or dinner but a small box is only ~$10 here which is great compared to other places that start around ~$15!
