Great service and excellent fish!! We got PEI mussels and they were fabulous. We had swordfish steaks that were super fresh. We got stuffed scallops that had us coming back for more. I really love this place. We purchased a quart of clam chowder and fresh steamers to bring home. Wow, that steamers were amazing! Delicious little bellies but no sand! Super fresh. This is a fish market like no other. Huge selection of the freshest fish. This the place to go when you are shopping for a big celebration. The finest of fine. Staff is friendly and quick. The lobster roll is made to order and is the best I've ever had. Tons of lobster and a touch of mayo. Nothing else. $20.99 and worth every cent. The very BEST seafood on Cape Cod! I live in Barnstable but will often drive to Falmouth just to buy seafood from The Clam Man. Even my husband can tell the difference. On one occasion I didn't have time to drive to Falmouth, so I bought some scallops closer to home. This review is specifically for the lobster roll. This is the only item that is ready to eat at the shop. Everything else needs to be cooked at home. As a fishmarket it looks great, but as a tourist I needed ready to go food. A lobster roll was the only option. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. It's a smaller amount of lobster meat and it's cold with very little butter. The frustrating part is in at least four bites there were chunks of shell and one 2 inch piece of membrane. That sort of ruins the experience for me. Also, half the fun of a lobster roll is the experience: the outdoor tables, the ambience and the locals. That's lacking here. So unfortunately this place wasn't a fit for me. But again, the fresh fish market aspect looked wonderful! read more

The Clam Man is our "go to" fish supplier on the Cape. Always fresh, good selection, fair prices. The owner is a good guy as well, always hires local kids, gives back to the community in numerous ways. He also supplies most of the restaurants around here (or I've been told that), so why go anywhere else? They also now allow you to call your order in and pay over the phone and pick up in back, so easy! Absolutely recommend! read more

We were down in Falmouth for a week and called the Clam Man a few times to steam us some lobsters. Perfectly cooked. Oh sooo delicious.

Super happy with the selection and fish here. All the little neck clams we bought (2.5 lbs) opened right up on the grill. A bit sandy, but I may have rushed them out of the pot spitting sand before I cooked them. The lobster salad was $40/lb., but some of the best we had all week. Tail and claw, hardly any filler meat and just a great ratio of mayo to celery. I just wish they packaged it fresh instead of keeping it in the case pre-packed before you buy it. Lobster bisque was a big swing and a miss. There is a flavor that was just overwhelming and not enjoyable. Wife thought it was terragon, but I'm unconvinced. I thought the soup tasted too fishy not lobster-y enough. -1 star for the bisque, but these guys should either get rid of that or go back to formula. read more

Just had fresh West Falmouth oysters that I shucked and ate on the half shell. Outstanding! I think they're better than Wellfleet oysters - a little brinier but cleaner and fresher.
