This used to be my favorite King Soopers. However, this morning I went at 10:00 to shop and the produce section had several empty bins and the regular zucchini was close to molding, with the indentations. The fresh fish was absent any salmon or anything other than shrimp and one small display of 5 heads on fish. This is not the only time this has happened. The green beans are usually picked over and limp. I don't know what's going on with this store, but it's disappointing. The personnel are friendly and helpful, but I find that I go there now when I only need a couple of things and definitely not when I need produce. read more

After waiting 10 minutes at the meat and seafood counter, I ended up calling the store and asking for that department to get someone to come help me. once he got there, Jason was very rude to me for having called and said he was busy. I don't know what the issue is but every single time I go to the deli counter the workers there are rude, aloof, act like they are totally inconvenienced to help you. This is the only king Soopers in the area that carries boars head, I stopped going for about 6 months and drive well out of my way to the next nearest one just for deli meat because of the awful service here but decided to stop in today just to see if maybe things had changed. Definitely not. I get the job sucks but a ton of jobs suck and I never get treated like I do consistently at this king Soopers. read more

I used to live around the corner from this King Sooper's back in 2018 and made it my store through 2021; I'm considering going back now that I'm relatively nearby again. It's a very well-kempt store, clean, and organized. I ditto many people's observation as something of a Whole Foods feel and relative to most other King Sooper's, it just doesn't compare. It's a little on the smaller side, so the aisles can feel a bit narrow on top of not always finding what you need, but if you aren't a super big cook like myself, or don't go after super complex meals, it's got just about everything. Employees are friendly, and I've always experienced them as helpful! read more

Apparently, "it is corporate policy" that King Soopers does not accept any returns without a receipt. Never heard that before. I am definitely a supporter of organic and natural foods. My first exposure was way back when Whole Foods first opened in Austin. I absolutely loved the fresh food and so cool atmosphere. What I didn't like was the high cost :). Since then, I have been exposed to Vitamin Cottage Natural Grocers and more recently Sprouts. I was excited to see this new King Soopers. It looks very majestic with its high ceilings and glass window front. But then reality hit when I realized the 2 floor or more high ceilings were more for looks than utility. It pained me to think of their cooling and heating bills...especially with the tall glass front. So bottom line, seems like a lot of wasted space. I didn't see any real "wows" there...unless I just may have missed it all. :( read more

This store is basically Kroger's attempt at a Whole Foods. Unfortunately, it's a fail. Go big with the concept or stick to the original King Sooper concept. They have some of the things at a regular KS but not everything so it's kind of annoying because their organic selection doesn't make up for the lack of regular selection. The location is convenient and all of the employees are helpful. Also, they lock the majority of the doors at 8pm and it's extremely annoying because there's really no need to do it. They use to have a door that led directly to the Starbucks which was super convenient when I was in a rush in the mornings but now I have to go through the front of the store and walk all the way to the back. I am definitely a fan of this new location which seemingly popped up overnight. When you first walk in the produce area is quite cramped and compact. They are still putting out stock so everywhere I turned I hit a roadblock - a huge cart of produce being unpacked- I suspect they will work this out. The sushi station comes next and they are very, very eager to assist you - can be a bit overwhelming. I do like that they hand you a sample of sushi instead of having many hands reaching into the display for it. They also have cut up fruit like Whole Foods and veggies chopped and packed for you at reasonable prices. A generous cheese selection is in this area along with the bakery. I also like that they have a decent sized gluten free freezer with appetizer offerings in the section but as you can see it is all very cramped.The Starbucks is ill placed in the very heart of the busiest section of the store - this may be problematic.The meat counter has a great selection and the staff there is very helpful. I am glad I grabbed a pork loin there when I did because today they were out of the small ones. Everything is shiny and new and the pricing is well King Soopers pricing. There is a good amount of parking and there are 2 entrances to get in. One drawback is the pharmacy is in a completely separate building which means 2 different transactions if you want to pick up some over the counter allergy meds or cough syrup. read more

I wouldn't think I'd be granting any KS 5-stars; there's always something at any outlet, but I had my 1st visit here about a month ago and was back yesterday, and have had amazing experiences both times. Had the pleasure of meeting Store Manager Justin yesterday. I asked a question about the marked-down meat regarding 1 of the stickers. He confirmed what I suspected, but in non-expected recompense, asked the meat section employee to mark down the package I had. They had some issue with the pricing gun, and my package ended up marked down even further than what the manager had requested. O_O Over 2 visits, I have made out like a bandit in the meat department here with either marked-down packages or unexpected kindness. Very approachable. I found out the deal with the pharmacy; I suspect pricey rent/sq ft is to blame for the pharmacy move. It is indeed on the 2nd floor now and they do not get as much business as they did when they were across the street, but you can reach it via stairs, via elevator, or via a walk-up which utilizes a pneumatic tube assembly like old-school drive-up banks do. Pretty cool! There is always stuff I might not think of to buy, but would eat or use at a good price, marked down significantly here. I don't know why. I don't need to know why (unless it's like discolored meat or whatnot)...my grocery bill here each time has been 30-40% cheaper than it would normally be. There is a better selection of merchandise here than at the older "beater" 2750 S Colorado location. That place is just "ok"; it meets my needs but doesn't have anything special. This location has more. The shoppers *appear* to be more upscale here -- and more polite or kinder in their mannerisms. That has nothing to do with the store, but it kicks ass dealing with people who are polite if you're of like mind. The self-service checkout areas are a bit short on length to place more than 1 bag, but you *can* put then on the floor, open up another bag and continue to put more items in that bag. The checkout people manning the self-bagging areas are always VERY polite (it's almost boggling if you're not used to it), and kind, and willing to help. It's almost like going back to an era where people did that kind of thing on a regular basis at stores. [Presumably -- I don't remember back that far. ;) ] Their self-service scanners don't end up with the super-aggravating "Call Attendant" frequent lockups the 2750 location has. So yeah...quite a bit to like here...for a KS, it has a boutique-ish feel...it's like a Whole Foods but without the pretentiousness or snootiness some of them have -- or dem prices. Megan the floral department manager is amazing! I got married on October 7th and did not do flowers until last minute. We had gone to one floral place before and the lady wanted to charge us over $1200 for flowers !! So my fiancé at the time was not thrilled about getting flowers. I was very hesitant about going to King Soopers for my wedding flowers but I highly recommend ALL BRIDES come to Megan!! My flowers looked like something out of a movie ! She did such a beautiful job on our flowers and for such a great cost. I was a high stressed bride towards the end and I gave Megan full permission to do whatever she wanted !!! I told her my colors and she took over from there ! It was one less thing I had to stress about and I couldn't be happier. AGAIN ALL BRIDES GO SEE MEGAN THE FLORAL DEPARTMENT MANAGER!!!!! Fresh Fare King Soopers - Grocery Near Me - Englewood, Colorado

This King Sooper's just opened, and it might be my new favorite grocery store. "Fresh Fare" definitely has a focus on organic and natural products, which is great-- especially since they're very reasonably priced compared to, um, their competitor (who I love but my credit card doesn't) where you're likely to spend your whole paycheck. The store is quite a bit smaller than your average chain grocery store, but they seem to have just about everything and it's laid out very well; everything is easy to find. There's a great selection in meat/seafood and the deli case, and the bakery looks nice, too. They even have made-to-order sushi and a Starbucks in the back corner. The parking lot seems big enough, and everyone who works there is helpful and actually seems happy to be there. I commute up and down University, and until now, the store where you spend your whole paycheck was the only real option between Colfax and Dry Creek. A natural-focused but low-priced grocery store is a great addition to this part of town! read more

I was doing the lunchtime "where do I want to eat" thing today and couldn't figure it out. Already got lunch at Whole Foods this week and didn't want to do a repeat. It wasn't until I was walking out the door that I thought "hey, maybe I'll try the new Fresh Fare on Hampden!" After circumnavigating the whole store, I left without purchasing anything and grabbed a panini at Starbucks up the street. It's not that this was a bad store, it just wasn't what I thought it would be (somewhere with ample prepared lunch options where I could pick up a grocery or two). Differences from a normal King Soopers: - Smaller/more compact (which I like) - Good looking produce, a good amount of which appeared to be organic - Additional "natural" type items such as grind-your-own peanut butter, bulk items, expanded natural/organic sections - More cheese - Fresh-made sushi station - More of an urban neighborhood feel with a smaller parking lot, fewer registers, and more efficient layout. That said, the similarities to a normal King Soopers were more offputting than not. - King Soopers prices (a good thing obviously) - The same cheap looking baked goods with a few "fancy" looking cupcakes mixed in - Smaller deli/hot food case with options such as a BYO burrito bar of which there were about five sad/overheated ingredients to choose from and the typical dried out KS fried chicken fare - Same prepared options (iceberg lettuce salads, etc) and olive/tapas bar as the KS on Belleview and Yosemite and same King Soopers "Signature Soup" - In store Starbucks I can see the Fresh Fare being a great one stop shop for groceries in the area, but much more limited and less appealing prepared and hot food options than the Tamarac Whole Foods. Because I don't live close enough to make it a regular grocery stop, I'll probably stick to Whole Foods for my lunchtime trips. read more

I wanted to have a couple of visits to Fresh Fare before I posted a review to make sure my first impression was correct because it seemed a little weird to me at first. I think a lot of the other reviews threw me off. I came in expecting it to be like a 3 star Whole Foods because that's what most everyone seems to think. Then I realized that if you walk in expecting a Whole Foods you're most definitely going to be disappointed. That's not a fair expectation at all. You can't expect a King Soopers to be like Whole Foods. That would be like expecting McDonalds to be like a vegan restaurant or something. What I decided was this: pretend that a Whole Foods and a Sprouts got married and gave birth to a King Soopers. They basically classed it up a little. Fresh Fare is definitely a step up from your average KS. They have a wider variety of organic produce, a larger deli and cheese bar. They even have a larger selection of pre-made salads and sandwiches. And you know that little section of "natural" foods they usually have? There is an entire isle or two dedicated to that. They even have a bulk section where you can make your own peanut butter. They definitely carry a lot more items than your usual KS, which is weird because it's really quite a small space. I think they had to leave a couple of things out to make all of the good stuff fit. The cosmetics, vitamins and protein powders are actually in the pharmacy which is a separate small building in the same parking lot. So it pretty much boils down to this: if you walk in expecting it to be a WF you will be disappointed, but if you walk in with the realistic expectation that it's a KS (because it is) then you'll be absolutely delighted. At any rate, give it a try. Meander around the whole store and check it out. It's worth a gander, in my opinion. read more

While the Fresh Fare concept may be new to Colorado, it's not new to me. I lived across the street from one of the first Fresh Fares, a Ralph's in Santa Barbara. I think quite a few people who had never been to one expected too much from this concept. Hence the 3.5 star average rating. That said, it is 3 stars, even when compared to other Fresh Fares. What I liked about this location is even though it's smaller than your average grocery store, it feels more open than I'd expect. And while the parking lot is small, it wasn't crowded. We were able to get a spot next to the door. What disappointed me, was the lack of selection of prepared foods. This is where the Fresh Fare concept is supposed to shine and this location lacked. Additionally, the baked goods weren't that different from any other King Soopers, and they are supposed to be a bit nicer. If you live or work in the area it's certainly a nice option. However I do not , so I'm not sure I'll return. read more

This is a new outlet for King Soopers on the border of Cherry Hills and U-hills. The downside is a very crowded parking lot. On the plus side, they have a complete Murray's cheese shop, so my daughter is very happy. The deli and meat departments have a lot more real estate, so they can offer a wider range of prepared foods. I'll keep stopping in on occasion to see if I warm up to Fresh Fare. read more

The hidden secret here is the floral department. In addition to the classics, there are tropicals such as orchids, leucadendrons, protea...plus I think their floral prices are very favorable! The ladies are so happy to help with special requests, and have even helped me buy 'old' stock to fill out and meet my party budget. Win/win! The selection is a little limited due to the smallish size of the store, but they have the right stuff...a peanut butter grinder, a great gluten free section, a fabulous cheese shop...wonderful gourmet bakery items, local Hammond candies and a nice selection of sea salts and organic produce. I wish the meat section had a little more selection of lamb (shank, roasts, frenched), for example. The staff are across the board friendly! read more

Living in Colorado I've been to quite a few King Soopers over the years and so far this one is the best (in my opinion). It is one of the newest locations, too. It's only been open for about 2 years now. It's not a large store, but it has the three things that a good supermarket needs to thrive: selection, low prices and fresh sushi!! They have a vast produce department, a deli, and lots of cheese (that they'll let you sample too)! The customer service is impeccable. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The store is always clean and really vibrant in color. Makes me never want to move, because then I'll lose My King Soopers!! read more

Being the grocery nerd I am, I was really looking forward to checking out this new King Soopers. Given the area, I expected a nice variety of organics and specialty foods. However, this wasn't necessarily the case. It does carry a lot more organic meat than other King Soopers I have visited- organic whole chickens, pork chops, grass-fed ground beef, and some others. I was happy to see that as those items aren't always easy to find. Of course, they're not that easy to find at this Kings either! The store is laid out a bit oddly and you feel a little crammed when you're navigating the aisles and different departments. This could be partly due to the fact I was there on a Sunday afternoon and it was crowded. However, some stuff was just odd. They had the organic apples mixed in with the non-organic apples, same with some other citrus and such, but then there was other organic produce that was in a completely different section from its conventional counterpart. This made me do circles around the produce department several times. The In-Store Starbucks is next to the deli, which makes a line and prevents passing- so you have to turn around and go another way. I think it would have made more sense to put the Starbucks at the front of the store- but that's just me. There were other items they didn't carry which surprised me- Glen Muir tomatoes and organic chicken/beef broths. So it has some good things but also some not so great things. I won't go out of my way to visit this Kings but it's nice that the area has something for people in the area. read more

This is an area that really needed a grocery store and Fresh Fare seems to fit the bill. It's a greatly scaled-down version of a King Soopers that is trying (sometimes successfully, sometimes not) to be upscale. I found the store to be clean, well-stocked, and had ample employees on hand. I mostly bought some basic groceries while here but took note of some of their food bars and higher quality products. As another reviewer mentioned, the bakery goods look like the same mediocre items that you see at a King Soopers, but maybe that will improve over time. Check-out was quick and efficient - which is one of my biggest gripes at some other grocery stores. I'll be stopping by here again for sure when passing through what was once a Bona--fide 'grocery store desert' in south Denver. read more

The pharmacy service is why I have been going back. I have always shopped at the Greenwood village pharmacy on Yosemite unfortunately they have to be the absolute worst in getting a timely prescription. Fresh fare pharmacy is separate from the main building like a little compound pharmacy no lines no grumpy people working there its well work the extra 5 miles in driving for me. This is the newest grocery store in my neighborhood and it is GREAT!!! The store is always clean and the employees are so nice and helpful. The one employee that stands out is CJ. I came in one day with my father-in-law to pick up a hot dinner [which by the way was amazing] and CJ was helping get everything put together. When it came time to ring out the pricing advertized and the pricing in the computer did not match. The computer was trying to charge us more. It took CJ about 20 minutes to get it all worked out, but he was super nice and very friendly the entire time. It was like hanging out with an old friend while waiting so the time flew by. He is an asset to the company and really knows how to give good service, which can be hard to come by. I hope Fresh Fare knows they have a great employee, CJ!! Whether you like this store or not will depend on what you're looking for. If you're just looking for a King Soopers, newly built, in this location- you may or may not be disappointed. As a Fresh Fare outlet, the store has a difference in selection. The produce section is smaller and mostly organic. The Deli section is smaller and all Boar's Head. What do I mean by "No Nonsense"? Well, in most grocery stores you have to weave yourself in and out of the aisles, get side-tracked by "so-called" deals/bargains and end up with all these food/items you didn't need in the first place. Look, I'm a busy gal. I have a family to feed. I'm on a budget. I usually have my grocery list in hand and boom I go in .... And I'm out. This King Soopers feels like an oversized and fancy 7-11. They have everything that a grocery store would need all the staples like bread, milk, cheese, cereal and so on. It seemed like a regular king soopers just scaled down. The employees were all real nice and the store is very new and clean. The best thing that I liked about this new Kings is the fancy cookie bar. Where you can fill up a bag of fancy cookies by the pound. They come for a price, I think it is like $8 a pound for the fancy cookies but hey you only live once. The bad part about this store is the parking lot. You can just tell that once all the restaurants and shops along with Kings is open the parking lot is going to be just awful. JUST AWFUL!!!! When I went here with the just ths kings being open it was already awful. So I will probably only go here on the way home from work when I need to pick something of importance up. read more

I just grocery shopped here for the first time and was motivated to write my first yelp review when I got home - so I think that tells you how much I am in love with this grocery store. The deli guy - Eldis - is amazing and gave us a terrific turkey / gouda combo. He really knows his stuff and clearly loves his job. All of the employees were nice and helpful though. The fancy cheese area has a Rick and Morty sketch / theme which made my day. They carry the elusive lactaid brand lactose free ice cream (!!!!) and have all of my favorite foods. Their produce section is amazing, they have great meats and cheeses, even the sushi looks yummy. They also carry decaf iced chai latte mix which I've been searching for. They have a great bulk nuts / candy section and even a freshly ground peanut butter station! The whole store was clean and organized. I'm in a temporary apartment close to this location, but honestly I think I'll keep driving over here once I find a permanent spot. I didn't know you could leave a grocery store so happy!! read more

New grocery store, close to our home. Why don't we shop here more often? Their grocery selection is more limited that the usual KS, although the deli is expanded. To me the name implies the "fare" here is more "fresh" than at other KS stores, but that is not true as far as I can tell. I have bought several salumi meats here, and it has sometimes been a struggle to get them sliced in the store. Deli items are sometimes good, other times just ok. This is an example of a good grocery chain store trying to masquerade as a gourmet store like Tony's. Overall, it is just ok. read more

They have a much wider variety of natural and organic foods than other King Soopers, and a better selection of produce and fresh "to-go" dinners and sides. This is a small grocery store but the staff are amazing! In the deli, you will find the most friendly and helpful staff of any market in Colorado - hands down. Joyce and Liz are two especially helpful employees who work in the deli. Always friendly, they work quickly and they're willing to help with anything you need. These ladies will make your day! Very fresh produce even though smaller selection of options. The seafood counter always has interesting samples of shrimp, fish, etc. - a great way to try something new before you buy. He is a 50 something year old man and I think his name begins with Don or something like that. It his job to be kind and help the customers and that is not the case. Used to be much better, can't shop here for fresh packaged fruit or fresh fish anymore. This store wants to be like Whole Foods but the quality of what it sells is inferior. For example, in the seafood Dept, they take all the end scrap pieces of fish that no one wants, and then package them, fresh as new, for people to buy in their seafood Dept. This is really gross, and at Whole Foods you would never see such a cheap attempt to get rid of scraps that no one wants. Maybe someone who is making a fish soup will buy this. But it looks really bad for them to market this in their cabinet instead of nice pieces, which they don't seem to be putting out. they dont have any good pieces for sale. Similarly if you want to buy a pre-packaged box of fresh berries, I have done this many times, but the berries usually taste rancid or have some bad taste to them. Also rancid and uneatable is some of the deli food, you can never tall when it is going to be fresh or stale. I just threw out what I bought for lunch as one bite was so gross! Sometimes it is great, sometimes unedible!!!! They need to have a regional manager come in here and taste test their prepared foods in all departments. They really seem to have a problem with quality control and selling customers old leftovers is a priority over "fresh"like their name says. I can't tell you how many times I have had to throw stuff out just becasue it tastes so bad. I will not shop here anymore, they were good at first, but have deteriorated lately. I will drive 3 miles out of my way to buy my Fresh Foods at Whole Foods. For other stuff, in cans, etc this store is ok, but it does not have the quality a fresh fare is supposed to have, and clearly they cut corners. read more

I'm a total nerd about grocery stores. I love them. If they had wi-fi and comfy chairs I'd happily plop down in the middle of the meat aisle and get some work done. There's just something about aisles and aisles of fresh, frozen and canned foods that makes me happy. Must be something I should talk to my future therapist about. Anyways, I wasn't too impressed with this Fresh Fare King Soopers. First off, it's crowded. I went there around 3 p.m. on a Saturday, which is probably why... but it was crowded to the point of annoying. I did enjoy the fancy sushi bar in the middle of the vegetables, and the extremely friendly sushi chef that assured me all the rolls were made fresh daily. However, I waited about 7 minutes for a woman at the deli counter to get done slicing some meat and help me out with a salad. Shouldn't they have at least two employees there during a busy Saturday afternoon? Also, it's kind of hard to find what you're looking for. There's a part of an aisle dedicated to only healthy-looking, cardboard flavor potato chips and then there's a whole separate aisle for the junk food-y chips like Cheetos and Lay's (guess which one I ventured to.) The eggs are hidden in the dairy products area and I would have been looking all over the store for them if it weren't for my geographically-adept boyfriend with a knack for sniffing out baby chickens. The good news is that you can find almost anything you're looking for at Fresh Fare, as opposed to Whole Foods or Sprouts where there's virtually nothing but uber organic and overpriced ingredients. Another good thing: If you enjoy Noosa yogurt, Fresh Fare has a wide selection. Try the strawberry rhubarb, it'll make your taste buds sing. read more

I would frequent this store on a regular basis due to it's convenient location on my way home. It has its flaws and I dealt with them, but after my experience today I am done shopping at this location. Not only does this location have issues with inventory, and is constantly out of things I'm looking for, but they also don't like honoring the sale prices that are shown on the shelves. Also, there are a TON of elderly people that frequent this store who have a tendency to yell at fellow shoppers, including myself for simply trying to get by them after saying excuse me. On top of all that, I've had to deal with multiple rude cashiers. Today I was trying to hand the cashier a coupon when she first starting ringing me up like I do every time. It's never a problem, but today she told me to "stop being impatient" even though I didn't say a word or express any form annoyance. As a customer, I don't appreciate being spoken to that way. I tried to like this location, but tonight's experience was the icing on the cake for why I won't be back. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that the manager Rick has always been courteous, friendly and helpful to me which I can appreciate. Maybe if the rest of the employees were like this I would continue shopping here, but unfortunately that's not the case. read more
