    Vegan Breakfast Sandwich
    Charles F.

I was super excited to find out that Fresh Flours had a vegan breakfast sandwich, so much so that I jolted out of the Astra hotel and walked over to Fresh Flours. What a cute neighborhood bakery/coffee shop. If I lived in the neighborhood, it would be my 'Cheers' location and Im sure the owner would say, 'Morning Charles!' as I entered the door. Since I was new, I waited for the owner to finish talking with one of his regulars - #lifegoals, and then asked to have the vegan breakfast sandwich. He directed me to pull it out of the fridge so he could warm it up for me. We talked about my watch, and it was all genuine. Not long later, my sandwich was ready, and it was hot as I picked it up. I was giddy to have a vegan breakfast for less than 8 bucks in Seattle, but my happiness turned into disappointment when I bit halfway into my sandwich to discover it was still cold inside. Bummer - I didn't say anything even though I could have, and I know he would have made it right. I just wanted to finish my sandwich and get back to the hotel to meet my colleague before going to the Amazon offices. I would definitely come back and still get the vegan breakfast sandwich, but I would ask to add another minute or two to ensure it was reheated all the way through the middle. P.S. The croissants and the pastries LOOKED Deli Deli Delicious.

It's a cute coffee shop, low key, quaint and only a couple blocks from Denny park. My friend and I tried the seasonal drinks.. the orange zesty mocha was both of our fav, yummy and had a good notes of the orange zest. The peppermint latte was decent but I could barely taste the peppermint. They have a huge list to choose from their bakery options. We got an almond croissant and basque, both were solid. The best part was the staff.. super friendly and patient while we kept changing our order. I'd give a generous 4 stars!

CAN I GIVE THIS SIX STARS? For the cowboy sandwich. We dropped by for breakfast since it was close to our hotel in SLU. What a surprise it was! Atmosphere: nontouristy. Laid back. Relaxing. Service: excellent. Kind and professional staff Food: exceeded all expectations Items we ordered: -London fog- delicious earl grey tea with a milk foam. -mocha- made with great coffee and quality chocolate -kouign amann- very airy -pain au chocolat- quality chocolate and very airy *****cowboy sandwich- OUT OF THIS WORLD. This is a prepackaged breakfast sandwich from the fridge section, made by "Molly's". They heated it up for us. From the initial sight of it, bread looks more artisanal but the rest of it looks typical. We bit into the lightest airiest brioche bun by far. It was almost like a cloud bread, with very fine air pockets, even finer than angel food cake. The sausage and egg tasted very home made, very lightly seasoned, refined. I would come back here just for this sandwich and the drinks to go with it. Just. Wow. Whoever Molly is-- please keep making this !

My go to for many years now. Thanks Keith and Serena for the amazing drinks as always and treating us so well. Lately ive been grabbing their tosti's and it really quenches my morning / early afternoon hunger especially after being toasted. Their coffee and matcha will always taste good. I appreciate that they also decorate based on holidays. I'm loving the halloween decor at the moment.

Great place to get pastries! My favorite was the Matcha muffin which had a red bean inside, which was so amazing. The matcha cookie was OK as well as the Matcha latte. Their specialty coffees look pretty good! I would come back.

My friend and I stopped by Fresh Flours for a breakfast pastry this past Thursday morning after a run around Lake Union. The spot is more of a "grab and go" since there's not a lot of tables (only window/bar seating, which were taken up by other customers already). However, they have a few tables outside, and the breezy morning was the perfect time to enjoy our food outdoors. HAM & CHEESE CROISSANT - 5.75 Warmed up ham and cheese croissant was perfect. The croissant was flaky and buttery. The ham was warm with perfectly melted cheese. This was a tasty sandwich and definitely a good "go-to" in the area if you're looking for a quick breakfast/snack while on the go.

It's honestly not bad. I am particularly impressed by the matcha muffin. The matcha is very present with just enough red bean paste. The almond croissant is alright. I think it would taste better if I heat it up. I will comeback if I ever pass by the neighborhood again. As for the americano, I just don't have a lot of memories. People here complaint about service. C'mon, it's Seattle. You think people just greet you with a big smile? Inside is very cozy as well. It's really a cozy spot for a rainy day.

I love this shop! Visited last year and couldn't wait to go back this trip & was not disappointed. Today was 3rd visit this trip and the lattes are hot, smooth with just right flavor! The staff is kind, efficient and welcoming and the pastries are out of this world consistently good!!!! So far this trip I have enjoyed lavender latte, violet latte with cold foam, vanilla latte & a hot honey lavender latte... all delicious!!!

This place is nice, a good spot for a grab and go. Only one table but they have window seating. Workers were nice. The pastries displayed looked cute. The food and coffee was fine, above mediocre. If you're in a bind then def a good spot but wouldn't go out of my way to try. Mocha - 7.5, solid London Fog - 7, solid Ham and Cheese croissant - 8, good but wished the cheese was more melty. We heated it up and ate it there and the inside was still cold Peach danish - 6.5 - wouldn't recommend getting

I'm ready to bring Fresh Flours their flowers for providing richly crafted coffee drinks and enriching pastries all in the small cafe setting where the activity is high and the buzz is good. The most blooming flowers must go to owners and spouses Keiji Koh and Etsuko Minematsu who turned their baking dreams into a mini empire of Asian infused sweet treats and deluxe craft coffees with four locations and counting. Located on 8th Avenue North on the ground floor of the 8 + Republican Apartments in the up and coming South Lake Union neighborhood, what makes Fresh Flours stand out among the plethora of coffee shops in the Emerald City is that they are equal parts bakery and coffee shop. It was this distinction that led me to take a few block walk from my hotel across the street from the nearby Denny Park, what drew me to Fresh Flours was the fact that they served fresh pastries both sweet and savory and I knew this because I typed in coffee shop in my trusty Yelp app as I was walking around, and my fellow Yelpers made sure to post a number of their baked goodies and I was sold by the images alone. When I entered their darkened cafe space, there was no one in line, so decisions had to be made rather fast. Instead I took my time and when I turned around there was a line of people behind me. This gave me a little more time to decide what beverage I wanted to order, and what pastries that I planned to order. The regular beverage menu is pretty straightforward at Fresh Flours as they have your traditional coffee drinks including drip, espresso and cappuccinos among others. I wasn't expecting them to have a Drink Special menu featuring four coffee drinks with some truly unique flavor combinations. Although I could have chosen from one of their options such as Honey Pistachio Latte or their Blue Moon Latte with Lavender and Blueberry, there was something about their Creamsicle Latte that was calling my name, and when it was my turn to order their barista suggested that I get this coffee drink over ice, of which I had some hesitations, but I obliged. Although they had some luscious looking pastries from the shiniest danishes, hearty croissants, and the largest kouign amann that I have ever seen, there was something about their Sausage Mushroom Pithivier that I instantly knew it was going to be good, so I ordered that and a Double Chocolate Cookie for my sweet treat. My total bill was $14.82 before gratuity was added in, which was actually reasonable considering how many items I ordered this initial visit. Thankfully they have the option of heating up my savory pastry, of which it took less than a minute, and it wouldn't take too long for my beverage to be ready for pickup at their counter area. I was able to take some time and sit there and enjoy what I just ordered, which was a nice change of pace especially since their WiFi signal was easily accessible and strong. I have to be honest the coffee drink wasn't my favorite, as there were too many flavors competing with one another and it didn't help that the entire coffee had an overabundance of ice cubes in it. What was the real star of my meal were their baked goods as my pithivier was one of the most savory, heartiest small meals that I have enjoyed in quite some time. The chocolate cookie was more of a crinkle cookie thanks to the abundance of powdered sugar, which in turn got over everything as I would take that back to my room, but it too was a delicious delight. I cannot wait to come back to Fresh Flours and try more of their pastries as they all looked so decadent and delectable. And all priced at no more than six dollars, then when combined with a traditional coffee, your day is set! It's time to take in the fresh scent of flowers when visiting Fresh Flours!

Food - the bakery is really tasty. We tried a matcha muffin and blueberry muffin as well as the ham and cheese and the regular croissant. Very flakey croissants! The muffins were very good too - so good my partner ate his before I could try a bite of his. For drinks we got the matcha and the mocha. The sizing is really solid here as are the portion sizes. I think the bakery was fresh and delicious and the drinks were also good. Service - very kind and attentive. They were constantly sweeping up and wiping down as folks were coming and going (those croissants are flakey!) and were very friendly. They also have a small dog treats bowl too! Ambiance - it's a small and cozy little spot tucked into the side of the first floor of an apartment complex. There's both indoor and outdoors but the patio is quite small. I think they might have more seating across the walkway when it's warmer? They are dog friendly but we sat outside at the one patio table with our pups because it was a bit busy and crowded inside. There were quick in and outs, families, couples, solos, pups, babies, and lurkers with laptops so this cafe seems to serve a diverse crowd. Very cozy for lingering but also very efficient for a grab and go too. Overall - would definitely come back and try more bakery or some other drinks. The matcha was nice but I want to try their lattes too.

They offer an impressive variety of parfaits, floats, frappes, and lattes, with optional additions like mochi and red beans. It took us a while to decide because everything looked tempting. My daughter and I shared the Hojicha Mochi Parfait, while my son ordered the Hojicha Float with mochi. The parfait had a rich, authentic hojicha flavor and was generously layered with chewy mochi, crunchy cereal flakes, and creamy soft serve, giving it a wonderful mix of textures. The float was equally enjoyable, with a bold roasted hojicha flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the mochi was a fun addition. The quality of the desserts was excellent, and while the prices are on the higher side, they reflect the quality of the ingredients and presentation. If you're a fan of matcha or hojicha, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. Save your money, find another great local coffee spot!
