Yasssss!!! LOVE their croissants and bake goods. It's incredible and I will say they make the best croissants in town! I have been there so many times after I moved closer to their Beacon Hill location. Even I tried to control my intake of carbs... I just can't but to have one or two every week. The fact that I still crave for their bake goods even I always go there is crazy! Their vegan coconut oats cookies and plain croissant are probably my two favs there. The croissant is so flaky, so buttery but not too much that make your hands oily, great fluffy in the middle and the flavor! Blew my mind every time. Light but satisfied. The coconut oats is a perfect amount of almost cakey but crunchy. Coffee is pretty good too. They use stumptown coffee and that's a stable good one. Now much about it but def good enough for the Seattle standard. Definitely recommend! I actually brought my friends and family here and they all love their pastries. Fresh Flours is a modern cafe bakery with an industrial ambiance within. I did not get to try the pastries today, though they do look like flaky goodness. I stopped in to meet a friend and just grabbed a latte. They do have a nice selection of non-dairy including: soy, oat, coconut and hemp milks. What's also nice is they have a rotating menu for flavored lattes. Currently on special is eggnog, pumpkin pie, and lavender honey. Aside from coffee drinks, they do have a small selection of teas on their menu. The cafe is clean with friendly staff. On this Saturday parking was easy to find on the street and free. I'll plan on coming back to try something from their bakery selection. read more

This place is so cute! My drink (8 oz oat milk mocha) was $5.25, which was a little much for my pocket. It was delicious, though. The bathroom is nice and clean and we appreciated their efforts to be environmentally friendly. There is not a ton of seating inside, so the tables outside were our only option. Cute little place. Quiet, decent for getting some work done. I first discovered it when I was trying to waste time before my hair appointment across the street at Salon Nouveau. Finally stopped in the Fresh Flours on Beacon Hill with the kiddo. He was drawing and me Yelping on their free WiFi. Clearly a well visited neighborhood location with both indoor and outdoor seating. Stuffed from other earlier stops in Columbia City and Beacon Hill. However, they do have a great variety of baked goods...same product line I'm familiar with from their Phinney Ridge site. They are the ones who taught me to be inventive with tea in shortbread and adding chocolate chips to banana bread. A big plus, they use Stumptown beans for their coffee drinks. Fresh Flours becomes another recommended stop on my list of favorite indie cafes in Seattle's Beacon Hill, Columbia City, Hillman City, Rainier Beach, and Seward Park neighborhoods. This is hands-down my favorite café in all of Seattle! The espresso drinks are nothing special, but their food and pastry offerings make up for it plus a ton more. I was instantly addicted to the Azuki red bean croissant and the red bean bars (because I love red bean in almost anything sweet). The sandwiches wee also delish and the perfect portion sizes. Cute coffee shop in North Beacon Hill. I decided to pick the prettiest thing in their pastry case and went with their kouign-amann. For the uninitiated (basically me before the pandemic when eating became my only hobby), kouign-amann is rich, buttery, and basically a crispy caramelized croissant. Best coffee shop I've had during my stay in Seattle. I stayed in Capitol Hill during my whole stay and was around Downtown a lot. Let's just say i was disappointed with the coffee everywhere I was trying. Don't get me wrong, the coffee was good, just not to the expectations I had after everyone consistently talked up Seattle coffee shops. Then I came to Fresh Flours in North Beacon Hill and my mind was blown. It was very very delicious. It's hard to find a shop that has it's pastries and coffee on the same level playing field. They go hand in hand and if I'm treating myself out to a nice cup of coffee, I'd like a nice pastry to go along with it and complete the experience. Fresh Flours is incredible. It's a small shop with indoor and outdoor seating. A lot of bright natural lighting and easy access to the North Beacon Hill Link Station. Service was incredibly friendly and helpful. Came in and was out the door within minutes! So quick there was not a line on a wednesday afternoon when I came in, but since I work at the salon across the street I do see that it gets pretty busy in there! I was happy to see they still had a lot of their macarons left and almost all of the pastries stocked up. They have matcha items here, iced and hot matcha lattes (yay), matcha cookies, matcha macarons, and matcha and red bean muffin! The staff was really nice as well and they have some seating, but nothing to really depend on if you wanna seat in. Almost every time I go, there are customers in line who have to change their order based on what is available. I don't understand why they don't produce more of the customer favorites. Okay this cafe has been my favorite cafe up until now. And I've never been one of those ppl who leave bad reviews of some places they don't like, but here's what happened today (3/27 wed) I went in for a green tea latte and there was this person who the barista was talking to. And I thought 'okay. The barista must be making the drink this person ordered.' Turns out I was wrong. This person standing before me never ordered anything and yet, their conversation went on. In the meantime, the barista never even acknowledged me. After five good minutes, the friend the barista was catching up with finally left. And it was my turn to order and I thought she'd at least say sorry, but no she asked me how my day was going and just took my order as if nothing happened. Any decent person would've taken my order first and paused their conversation for a min, but this barista didn't even have the decency to say sorry to me after making me wait for five freaking good minutes. I hope she has some decency to say sorry when she needs to and provides better service. read more

Cute little coffee shop to get some great coffee and delicious pastries. Stopped in really quick to get a small chai, almond croissant and the twice baked chocolate croissant. The chai had the perfect amount of spice and it wasn't too sweet. Both croissants were delicious, cream inside was sooo good, and even better when warmed up just a little bit in the microwave. I shared the croissants with co-workers since they were both pretty big in size. The twice baked chocolate croissant was by far the winner. I don't know man, maybe it's the chocolate that got me, but I'll definitely be back for that! They also serve Japanese fusion pastries and drinks if that interests you such as matcha cookies, matcha muffins, etc. There is free wifi if you need internet to study and do some work. It seems like it would be a relaxing place to study or get some reading done with your coffee. However, seating is limited since the place is not that big. There is outside seating available if the sun is out! Finding street parking is kind of hard since it's located in an apartment complex but if you get lucky you'll find a spot in the surrounding neighborhoods. read more

Onto the food and drink I ordered: Green Tea Latte: At first glance, the latte art was not appealing where it looked the barista gave up 2 seconds in, but that's the least of my worries. Once I had my first sip, I didn't care about the appearance of it because the taste made up for it and more. Some places skimp on the matcha powder, but not this place. It was earthy and had the perfect amount of sweetness where it wasn't drowned in sweeteners so that's a big thumbs up. It is a must-have if you're into matcha! Almond Croissant: It has a flaky and extra crunchy top outer shell contrasted with a soft bottom and inside. It's denser than your average croissant and has a cream filling. The cream filling is sweet with a slightly grainy texture. The croissant is huge! It might be good to split among two people because it was filling and I personally got tired of it halfway in, but it was still a delicious croissant. Macarons: I bought the passion fruit, earl grey, caramel espresso, yuzu, black currant, raspberry, and green tea flavored ones. The macarons are slightly smaller than the average macaron, but they're only $1.50 each so it was fair. My favorites are the yuzu, earl grey, and green tea. I was looking for a nice spot to take a meeting, and so I decided to meet my friend and collaborator here. We purchased a pot of green tea and found a spot outside to set up the laptop in the sunshine. It worked out super well, though we didn't get super great wifi outside. Inside, the menu is full of glutenous items that look amazing. I wasn't eating gluten at the time (and hardly do now) but couldn't really eat anything there though I wanted to. The tea was AWESOME though and I'm so glad they had a super good kind. The space is cute and modern inside. They only had a few tables available so that's why we went outside (and we didn't want to disturb anyone else with our call). The restrooms are well kept as well. And it's located just a block away from a bunch of other restaurants (Tacos Chukis anyone?) We stepped over there for a quick bite after our meeting :) I'd definitely return here for a chai or another cup of tea! Or to spend some nice time taking a meeting out in the sun! read more

Ordered my drink and waited, noticed several "customers" sitting in comfortable seats near windows, looking at Phones reading the paper etc. Then one of the people, I thought was a customer gets up, sipping his drink, walks behind the counter and starts making drinks. Found this place on Yelp after watching a sunrise. The pastries looked amazing so we gave it a shot. We found some street parking pretty close by so no complaints there. There wasn't a line when we went in and we placed our order pretty quickly. The cashier didn't really say much to me and neither did the barista. The cashier did ask me if I wanted the pastries I ordered warmed so that was great but she didn't say much besides that. My friend and I were wondering why she seemed to not like us (or just me). She did ask other customers how they were and chatted with others. I was thinking maybe they're regulars but newbies should feel welcomed too. I picked up our drinks after the barista finished making them then thanked her and she didn't say anything. I don't know! I don't mean to harp but we noticed. On the other hand, the pastries were delightful! We got a caramelized onion and swiss croissant, a spinach feta something quiche, and blueberry lemon curd danish. The croissant was SO good. The flakiest and most buttery croissant I've had. SO wonderful. The crust on the quiche and also the filling was delicious. The blueberry lemon curd danish was pretty good. Sweet when I expected it to be tangier but I'm not complaining about it. I'd get it again if I was looking for something on the sweet side. We also ordered coconut milk mochas. They looked nice in for here cups with latte art on top. The coffee was smooth and they weren't overly sweet. I'd say they were above average. We'd go back... Mostly for the food. Updated! Even though I was over charged the first time, it never happens again. I become a long term customer. Their baristas are always very friendly and make me feel they want to build a good relationship with customers. The experience you have here is not what you will get from Starbucks. Too bad I don't work in that area anymore, but always stop by when I am around. The food was good but they over-charged me! :( I didn't know they had a happy hour with 50% off pastries so I didn't catch that they actually put two more pastries on my check which offset the discount I received. Fresh Flours is a gem on Beacon hill! I love this modern bakery/coffee shop. It's small and cozy, and their staff are very friendly and provides quick service. They have seating and good wifi as well. A good place to catch up with friends or sit down and get some work done. Their coffee is great and they also have oat milk as an alternative (which I am obsessed with, oat milk lattes!!). You can't leave your order with just coffee - you have to try their pastries! They have beautiful and delicious sweet and savory pastries - you CANNOT GO WRONG with any of them. I've tried their Ricotta Raspberry Danish which had the perfect balance of sweet and tartness. Their Basque cake has this really cool top and a custard base - how can you not try this. My favorite so far is their pithivier (savory) - which is a round puff pastry pie filled with mushrooms and onions. Give any of their pastries a try - you won't be disappointed. read more
