We both loved our choices for protein. The brown rice was good too, as well as the coconut rice. The amount of food given is amazing! They definitely give a good amount & for the price, you cannot beat this! Definitely better than chipotle and more options. I'm not going to lie though, I'm a person who is big on smell. First and foremost, just like the name it truly is the fresh kitchen when it comes to their meals! I've been here multiple times and still enjoy the varieties of options they have to try. This franchise is actually located on orange ave, and near an Applebees and near a neighborhood Walmart. Parking is simple since it is in the plaza, but to be honest , not a lot of people like to eat healthy food options so the line and parking spaces are usually available. So tonight I decided to order some brown rice, cauliflower rice , chickpeas, and almond chicken. All great options to mix with , but the menu item I ordered was "four" which consisted of 2 bases, 1 side, and 1 protein. All for about $13. I was a fan of them all, but the cauliflower avocado rice was definitely a different kind of taste and texture to what I was expecting. This was more on the mushier and avocado side vs actually tasting like the rice, but overall pretty good. Service was great and they were very friendly and quick with our orders. Got us checked out within a couple of minutes and made sure we had everything we wanted. As far as the interior, always liked the vibes and design. I ended up trying Fresh Kitchen because my work catered lunch with them and they did an awesome job with delivery/labeling each box with individual names printed on stickers. I was so wowed by the food that I took my husband the following weekend. We have tried the BBQ chicken, herb steak, baby kale caesar, power rice, chickpeas, roasted broccoli, cauli-potato mash and it is ALL delicious. I feel like you cannot go wrong here. They also have a good selection of unsweetened teas that we enjoy trying. First things first this is a vegetarian place but don't be alarmed, because even though it is vegetarian they still have options that people who are not vegetarian can still enjoy. I came in here and just decided to play with a bunch of things just to get an idea of what may be best. I'm so glad I did, I decided to go with the cauliflower mash, the kale, barbecue chicken, almond chicken ,potatoes, pico de Gallo and feta cheese and chick peas. As you can see in the pictures, I took one while I was on my way to the car and I believe I devoured this meal in less than 10 minutes. Very tasty, super flavorful and just the correct ingredients. The gentleman and folks that were serving the meal gave me very helpful tips as far as which ingredients to add to the entire thing. This place is like a healthy American version of the Chipotle. I went during lunch rush which meant it was horribly busy, but at the same time I give them major credit for being fast and efficient, keeping the line moving, while also being friendly. I ordered the six bowl which meant I got two bases, two proteins, and two veggies. I wanted to try a lot of the options so that was the best way to go seeing that just adding on a protein or veggie would be an additional $1.75. My bowl consisted of the kale slaw, spinach salad, Parmesan broccoli, marinated mushrooms, bbq chicken and citrus chicken. Then I got to choose any sauce, and since I love spice I went with the coconut sriracha. Good choice because that sauce was addicting! It really added that extra something, a little sweet and spicy, to finish off the bowl. Everything was delicious. The mushrooms were my favorite, so juicy and flavorful, but the broccoli was an extreme flavor punch too so wasn't far behind the mushrooms. I'm glad I got the two proteins because originally I only was going to get the bbq chicken, but the citrus chicken ended up being the better of the two. So moist! The bbq chicken was a bit crunchy on the outside but still had great flavor. My only comment would be the price. I thought it was pretty expensive for the quantity you were getting, and I didn't like that even wanting something as simple as tomatoes was an added charge. Just seemed a little over priced to me. I've been coming to this restaurant since it first opened, and I was a fan from my first visit. The food is healthy, the decor is cute, and I know I can bring friends looking for a healthier alternative for Orlando dining. They offer GF Gluten Free * DF Non-Dairy Friendly * SF No Processed Sugar Added * V Vegan Friendly menu items. You can order bowls or smaller portions of food, depending on your appetite. A couple of my favorites are the baked almond crusted chicken, kale slaw, and roasted sweet potatoes. My favorite dressing is the creamy white ginger. I love the rose print on the tables, and the overall vibe of the restaurant. They change out some of their menu items based on availability and season, but keep some of their favorite staples (like the baked almond chicken and kale slaw). I've been to this place during lunch and busy times and have found it can be particularly loud with the music volume, and acoustics when it's full of people dining in. I feel this is a design issue, and also volume control with the music. I like the music they play very much, just not at the volume it is during lunch, that seems to compete with people yelling to hear each other at the table. While my daughter loves this place, I honestly cannot see the big appeal about it. To me it is mediocre food served in a fast casual setting (think like Chipotle and their assembly line process) at a higher price than it should be. For instance my daughter's bowl with a premium salmon as one if the proteins (which is a $2.00 upcharge) was about $14.00 dollars. For that price I could have had a far superior version of a dinner. But again, my daughter does like Fresh Kitchen, so Fresh Kitchen it was. It is of course not all the fault of the kitchen, but rather the design and concept of the business. Like Chipotle, the food sits out to be thrown in the bowl. It is not freshly cooked to order, so the food sits out, awaiting to be used. Not the most appealing of things, especially with salmon. Service is friendly and casual as you make your way along the line, choosing your base, vegetables, protein, sauces, etc. Again, I do not see the appeal of this place and find it mediocre at best and certainly inferior when calculating in the price. No Texas locations so I'll have to come back to Florida for this amazing-ness! Look, and the food was awesome too, the six bowl gives you all sorts of options for your meal. The salmon was juicy and paired perfectly with the "chilled sweet potato noodles" I thought were supposed to be a spiralized sweet potato, but they were actual noodles, fun! I also got steak that was tender, seasoned really well and bite sized. Broccoli was roasted and had almost enough salt, and the cauli-mash was delish.
