Ordered this place through uber eats because I was craving pita and fresh hummus but was sorely disappointed to find they have prepackaged hummus. I would have been better off going to the store and buying sabra. I got a plate and, although it wasn't bad, it doesn't seem as though they prepare everything in the house. I could be wrong, but that's just the way it tastes. Also disappointing that their sauce comes packaged.

Shah's Halal Food is located in the Alamo Plaza on East Colonial Drive and Murdock Boulevard. With it being in a shopping plaza, parking is not an issue. Walking in, Shah's Halal Food is pretty small, but it is bright and inviting. It was also very clean. I opted for a gyro, French fries and a lamb bowl. The service here was extremely friendly and professional. The way to order is go up and place your order, then one of the staff adds the toppings that you request kind of like Chipotle Mexican Grill. The French fries were definitely incredible. Though the lamb bowl was my order, I might have (allegedly) stole a French fry or two (maybe four, but again, allegedly) on the way home and they were incredible. The lamb bowl was definitely stellar. It was about twelve dollars. The total for the gyro, French fries and the lamb bowl was twenty-seven dollars and some change. If you are also looking for a late-night meal, Shah's Halal Food also is open until late at night. Mist nights they are open until two o'clock in the morning and on Friday and Saturday, Shah's Halal Food is open until three o'clock in the morning. As of this review (September 14, 2024), Shah's Halal Food has been open for about two months. Shah's Halal Food is definitely a welcome addition to the east Orlando culinary landscape. I will give Shah's Halal Food five stars overall and I will definitely recommend Shah's Halal Food. If you are in the area, you owe it to yourself to try Shah's Halal Food. Go see it for yourself.

Ordered on uber because of the ratings and was disappointed. Never had such a soaked pita before. I even drained it before trying to take a bite hence the puddle underneath. There had to be 4oz of straight hot sauce because it was so spicy. Just a sad drowning pita. The fries were really good but who really orders Mediterranean for fries.

Good fries. Bring your own salt.

This establishment is BYOS (BRing Your Own Salt) Y'all know I'm the Fry Snob, and I like a little salt for my food. Shah has good fries, but no salt. Who serves unsalted fries? I asked for salt and they offered me ketchup or hot sauce instead. They couldn't even bring me a little salt in a sauce cup from the kitchen. I had to go get a salt packet from my car. Other than that, the food is decent. I had a lamb gyro. The meat is cut into cubes, and it's kind of slick. Not like the strips of gyro meat shaven from a spit. Decent flavor, but a weird mouthfeel. Mixed feelings on this one. I might come back and try the chicken. And I'll be sure to have some salt with me.

I've been wanting to find a place down here that serves up a dish like the food trucks in NYC, and this place definitely is IT. Ridiculously DELICIOUS. I mean I'm a hard critic but I loved my dish.

Amazing service! I got the lamb and chicken combo platter with hummus green onions and chick peas. The food was absolutely delicious and everything was fresh including the rice. The chicken was juicy and not dry. The person who prepared my food was Ambishes and she was absolutely lovely and sweet. She made the process of ordering super easy. I would highly recommend to come try this place out! And they are open till past midnight. 10/10 food and service

This places doesn't miss, and they are always very friendly inside! Everytime I come they seem to be very busy (probably because the food is affordable and delicious) the employees always have a line but never seem overwhelmed. The portions are large for the price, always have leftovers. Never actually ate inside because the place is small but the food always stays hot when I make it home. Loyal customer +++ 5 star EVERYTIME.

Food was so delicious!! We can't wait to go back! We got the combo platter and lamb gyro. Plenty of food and they will give u as much white sauce as u want. The more the merrier!! But their hot sauce... extremely hot. So be aware!

After a few drinks and hours of partying, we were all craving some good halal food. While driving, we stumbled upon this place, and let me tell you--it's amazing! The food reminded me of the halal dishes you find in New York, and we all know New York has incredible food! I ordered the chicken and lamb over rice combo, and everything was spot-on. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the lamb was cooked to perfection, and I loved the white sauce drizzled over the bowl. The service was also fantastic--everything was prepared quickly, and the lady who served us (wish I remembered her name) did a great job. The ambiance was simple, more like a quick takeout spot with some seating if you wanted to stay. If you love halal food, I'd definitely recommend this place. 10/10!

Shah's Halal Food serves flavorful chicken and lamb. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. The variety of fresh toppings and sauces took the meal to the next level. Highly recommend for a quick, delicious bite!

Pre packaged white sauce sends red flags my way. Look at the ingredients ‍.

And what caught my eye when doomscrolling through instagram and skimming through my apps for recommended food places were their sandwiches and pastries. They are as beautiful in person as they are in the pictures. One thing I can't infer from a picture very well is the size. And let me tell you, that sandwich was pretty massive. It's larger than some of the burgers I've been trying out lately in the area, so you get every bang out of your buck. I got the Beef Bugolgi Shokupan Sandwich, which was bursting with a generous serving of beef and a really large, soft, fluffy scrambled egg, all packed between 2 super thick and pillowy buttery toasted bread. I also got the Pork Belly Bao, which I honestly like better than the sandwich. The bao buns are super fluffy, and the pork belly slices are perfectly thick sliced and flavorful. It's a great menu item to get if you want to share with another person since it comes with 2 servings per order. For dessert, I struggled a bit to pick and choose, haha. Of course I couldn't just pick one, but I am a little proud of myself for only selecting 2 instead of a whole entire box. From the pastry case, I picked the custard donut, which was soft, chewy, and stuffed to bursting with a pudding-like filling. And from the cake case, I got the Raspberry mousse. I couldn't resist that glass-like ruby red skin. But unfortunately, it was too tart for my taste. There's a lot on the menu that I can't try in just one visit, so I'm definitely bound to come back again.

These things are huge, thin crusted, and unless you possess some serious pizza folding skills, best approached with a fork and knife. First up was Jason's Mom's Slice (JMS): tomato sauce, chicken, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, tomatoes, ranch, Jason's Mom's sauce, and mozzarella. Flavor wise, this was my favorite of the two. The caramelized onions were especially good, although I wish they had been distributed a little more evenly across the slice. My only real issue was the crust had quite a bit of sag. I suspect the large tomato slices placed directly on the crust released moisture as they cooked, making an already thin crust difficult to support. Next was the Meaty McMeatface Slice (MMS), loaded with tomato sauce, birria beef, ground beef, pepperoni, bacon, and mozzarella. They aren't kidding about the "meaty" part. The birria was the star and added a nice depth of flavor, but overall I found this slice a little dry. A side of Jason's Mom's sauce would probably have been the perfect companion, although it comes with an additional $1.50 charge. I also ordered the small Greek salad, which was anything but small. It came loaded with perfectly ripe tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, black olives, fetta and pepperoncini. The menu lists romaine lettuce, but what I received looked and tasted more like escarole or frisee, with a noticeable bitterness. I'm not certain what the green actually was, but it definitely didn't taste like romaine. The menu also mentions roasted red peppers, though I couldn't find any in my portion. I liked the dressing, but the salad could have used a little seasoning. I didn't see salt anywhere around the bar where I was sitting. Maybe there was some near the drink station, but apparently, I wasn't motivated enough to launch a salt expedition. The ordering process is straightforward. Walk in, order from the counter underneath the overhead menus, grab your drink, and find a seat. I asked for water and was initially handed a small plastic cup for the self-serve station. I asked if I could get a cold beer pint glass instead, and they happily accommodated the request. Thank you! A small gesture, but one I appreciated. There is plenty of seating, although the bar stools where I sat felt sufficiently rickety to make me question their structural integrity every time I shifted my weight. Total damage was about $37 including a 20% tip. To be fair, the portions are substantial. I boxed up leftover pizza and salad and finished them for breakfast the following morning, so there was certainly plenty of food. Still, for two slices and a small salad at a counter service pizza joint, the final tab felt a bit steep. Overall, some very good flavors and gigantic portions with a few execution and value issues. Jason's Mom won this round, although next time I might ask her to go a little easier on the tomatoes. And yes, giant cold pizza for breakfast remains one of life's underrated pleasures.

To my surprise, I was disappointed by the food. I got the loaded frings and a 5 x 5 burger. I believe the burger is relatively new, since it wasn't on any of the pictures of their menu on Google. Ambiance: The staff was friendly enough and I do like the fact that you can see them cooking the burgers in front of you. However, looking around at the restaurant, it looks like there was no upkeep. There were broken tiles, tables weren't cleaned, and I believe there might have been mold when I was filling my water cup at the ice machine, like visibly on the spout. Food: Loaded frings- I'm not sure how you mess this one up, but they somehow did it. The fries were overcooked and the bacon was fried to hell. I think you can actually see how burnt the bacon was in the pictures. It tasted like charcoal. Lastly, the fries were completely soaked in cheese sauce, which I'm guessing was from a can. It tasted like the cheese you'd have at state fairs, except more watery. There was more sauce than fries and onion rings! I should have taken a picture after eating half of the fries. I could not eat the bottom half of the frings because it was all soggy Burger- the same cooked-to-hell bacon was used on the burger. Not much else need to say about that. Looking at the picture of the burger, you'd think that the patties were way overcooked as well. That was not entirely the case. The patties weren't extra dry, but they weren't as juicy as I would have liked a burger to be. I'd say it was just okay. Maybe a half step below average. I really wanted to like this place, but I wasn't able to. I'm not sure if I came by on an odd day, because the reviews say otherwise. I really hope management can fix these issues.

Everything I expected from an Italian market and more! This was my first time here and had heard…read moregreat things. So I was really excited to try a few things! The market is honestly huge and I'm pretty sure anything you were looking for they'd have. But what I was really was there for was to try their chicken parm sandwich. And it was delicious. The flavor was amazing, the sauce was tasty and the cheese melted right off. It was so good I ate the entire thing. And trust me it's a HUGE sandwich. I also tried 2 of their cookies and they were so soft and melted right in my mouth. They even had a coffee shop inside too. What I loved about this place is they had a whole seating area outside to eat. It was shaded and fans blowing so it was decent out there. Everyone there was super nice and can't wait to go back! Wish they had another location near the parks. Because it is a little far away for me. 5/5
