Went back for a second time. 1st time was teriyaki and it was ok, way overpriced for the portion & almost no sauce at all. This time it was bahn mi, gyoza and fried rice. All three failed to impress. The rice tasted and smelled like fish, nothing I would ever buy again. The gyoza wasn't cooked all the way and was average. The bahn mi flavor just didn't come together like most bahn mi's do. The broth is tasty but I suggested not to put too much msg. I'm very sensitive with msg and when I eat something that has msg my throat start to get hurt and thirsty. The wings that I ordered is over cooked so it a little dried. Bun Bo hue noodle is still a little chewy, very hard to eat. I really want to give them 4.5/5 stars. We absolutely love the pho broth. It's the best I've had in the area! I highly recommend getting it with the brisket. While I haven't sat inside, the inside looks very appealing and I hope to sit down and eat inside eventually. We usually call ahead to order to go, but walked in and ordered when they were busy and we got our to go order in less than 10 minutes. Hello fellow humans looking for good food. Ordered the Mam wings. It says you get 5 wings. Unfortunately they don't appear to know how to count. They gave me parts of wings that were overcooked to the point of being inedible. They were like chewing on wood...and I am NOT a woodchuck. All together they come to 2-1/2 wings. Sigh. On top of that, I ordered a pork bahn-mi. Double sigh. If they could have put less meat on it, I think they would have. I also missed the pate what was supposed to be there. Bubble tea and pho!!! Such a good pairing. I love ding tea and being able to pair it with pho is so convenient. This restaurant is super adorable with the paper lanterns and decor. I ordered the house egg rolls - 5/5 super delicious. I love that their egg rolls have taro in it. If you haven't tried egg rolls with taro before. You MUST TRY! The combo ham banh mi is what my husband ordered and I got to try some, 5/5. It has pate spread and is super savory/umami and delicious. Their pho broth is so flavorful! Ordered shaken beef. Says it comes with salad... apparently a "salad" is 2 slices of cucumber and that's it. Menu says 6+ people will be charged automatic gratuity. We went with 5 people, one of which didn't order anything. We got charged automatic gratuity. Asked the waiter why, and he explained he just "works there" and management changed it (even though they don't update their menus). They never once came and asked to see if we needed anything, or ask if everything was OK. Didn't have time to talk to the manager so I just paid $20 for one regular size lunch item. This hard working family has just recently opened this beautiful restaurant. They did a great job renovating the prior space which used to be a shoe store. It's decorated beautifully and it's very comfortable and spacious to sit in. My husband and I ordered our usual, which is chicken pho, and it was absolutely delicious. We stop to have lunch today. It was not that busy this afternoon, it seemed. After we got our food, I ordered another Pho and spring roll to go for my mom. We got done with food still waiting for my to go order, meanwhile still waiting, I got Milk Tea from Ding Tea and it has been like 15 to 20 minutes after we are done eating. Ding Tea did not have Bubble tea my mother like so, I went to their neighbor bubble tea place to get the right flavor. After I cam back to get my to go order, they still did not have my food. I went up to cash register and asked the gentleman, if you have not made my food, I would like refund. He said went to kitchen and I can clearly see they wonder what happen and instruct for them to make it. He came back and told me they are making it, are you kidding me? My husband then raised his voice, I saw you telling them to make the food and she told you if you did not make the food then stop. It is like 30 minutes by then. Going to rate by taste, customer service, environment: Taste: So far this is the best Vietnamese food I've come across in Lacey. My husband and I drive here from Lewis County for the food. I'm from Seattle so I wouldn't compare this to Seattle's international district's Viet food. Their pho is good. Vermicelli bowl is good too; I appreciate the variety of veggies they include in the bowls. Only complaint I have with their "fish sauce" is that it tastes pretty salty in comparison to other restaurants "fish sauce". Their Bo Kho is delicious too (when eating it with French bread to dip in into). Although that's on the saltier side too. Might not be as salty if eating with rice submerged into it. I haven't tried everything else on there menu yet. However I am not hesitant to. The food looks wonderful on other customers tables! And lastly, I appreciate the citrus-infused water they serve. After eating anything with oniony flavor or fish sauce, the citrus infused water cleanses the palette! Customer service: Everyone has treated us nicely. I've had the waiters/waitresses come by our table to refill our waters and ask how everything's going. There is one gentleman who might have a bit more of a language barrier who also comes by to refill our water but is hesitant on asking how things are but he is quick to listen when we ask for extra things and is kind. No complaints there. I will say during lunch rush hour on weekends can create a bit of a wait time. However they remain calm and kind with customers. Environment: This place is clean, well lit during the day and bright-ish/ambient when the sun sets, which I prefer over fluorescent lighting. Fairly small, not designed very well, and slippery! We even heard the people next to us complaining. I shop at the nearby Fred Meyers and will sometimes have lunch here. The restaurant is clean and is well lit. For me, It also has a bit of a cafeteria feel. The staff is friendly, but the service is pretty much they just take your order and deliver the food. For the most part, their food is fairly decent, although I think the prices are a bit high when compared to many other, and some even better Pho restaurants. I now stick with just ordering the Pho, even though I think the broth is fairly weak. While I love Bun Bo Hue, here it is not very good - the broth lacks the spice/heat and it was missing the blood cake. All in all, Fresh Pho is simply a decent experience ... if you just happen to be in the area and you want a bowl of Pho, go ahead and drop on in. read more

This is one of my go to pho places in town now. The best part about fresh pho is the location, it is conveniently located right next to Fred Meyer, with ample parking. I think they did a great job with the interior design and makes the restaurant look bright and clean. The Service is always really good, the waiters are attentive and quick to respond to your needs. The pho is yummy as well, although occasionally could taste just a tad but bland. I usually get the chicken pho with extra cilantro and onions, they are very generous with the extra cilantro and onions every time that I ask for them. I did try seafood pho once but it wasn't as good, so I would recommend the good old chicken pho. Overall, every dining experience here has been pleasant, will be back again soon I'm sure. Also while you are here, might as well get a cup of boba to go with your meal, the jasmine milk tea with boba from Ding Tea usually pairs well with my chicken pho. read more

This new spot is roomy, bright and inviting environment. Ding Tea is inside and a great spot to get your milk tea fix!! The menu is your traditional Vietnamese favorites! The prices are a little high for Vietnamese food. But more importantly, the taste was not as great for Vietnamese cuisine. And it's too bad the Pho portion is more on the stingy side. There is a better place in town. And the service was too slow. Don't come here if you have a time limit for lunch break; you won't make it back in time. By the time it came out to me, my sandwich tasted like rock. you probably couldn't make it to the second bite and the drink already got water down. Fresh Pho has been open about a week and today was our second visit. We have been yearning for good Pho due to our usual place being closed while changing location. On our first visit, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. I had Bùn Bó Huê and my wife had the Fresh Pho Special. We shared an order of fried rolls. The Bùn Bó Huê broth was excellent and it came with all the right meats. I especially love the congealed blood and pork hock. My wife's pho was equally good. I'd rate both as second best in the Olympia area and well above anything else in Lacey. The fried roll was good too, pretty typical for a fried roll. We also got a Ding Tea on the way out. This seems to be operating as a separate business inside the same building. We got a mango yogurt with crystal Boba and a mango slush with rainbow jelly. The mango yogurt was superb and I really love the Crystal Boba. It is my first time trying it. The mango slush was a little on the plain side but made up for by the generous portion of the rainbow jelly. Our first trip was good enough that we decided to come again and on our second trip we were equally impressed. The consistency between visits was great. This time we decided to try spring rolls as an appetizer. My only complaint is that the tofu in the spring roll was skimpy and the peanut sauce is very watery for my taste. The portion is perfect but pricey at 3.95. The staff are really nice and have done a great job opening a new place. We will definitely return. read more
