I was craving something light and fresh, but full of flavor. I have drove by Fresh Rolls in the plaza before and wanted to fill my fresh craving with some spring rolls. I was able to order online using the Yelp app. I ordered shrimp spring rolls, a lemongrass beef bahn mi sandwich, and my husband ordered the salmon spring rolls and a BBQ chicken rice bowl. Ordering through the app didn't exactly update when my order was ready, so I arrived too early since it said an estimated time it would be ready and didn't update. The staff were nice about it, but it did take a minute to get my order. The food was delicious! As expected, the spring rolls were fresh. It came with a yummy peanut sauce to dip, but were perfect as is too. The lemongrass beef bahn mi was incredible! I cut it in half at home so it was easier to eat. The vegetable mix on top was tangy and a great balance to the savory meat. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Amazing place!! Every time I get food here it is so tasty and fresh.I will forever recommend this to my friends. Although - I have food allergies and recently haven't had super good luck with that when ordering food online! I asked for no peanuts on my noodle dish and there was peanuts sprinkled on top anyways. I had ordered two plates of lemon grass noodles for a friend and I but had to give my food away due to my allergy. Peanuts were placed on both meals even though I had put a note in the order for them to be left out completely/: big bummer. But don't let this deter you! Ordering in person is always best and you'll get great food just wanted to let others know incase they have allergies too.

Visiting Gig Harbor and happened upon this Vietnamese joint in a strip mall on the main drag towards the Harbor in this beautiful town. Authentic is the best way to describe it, and if the Spring rolls appear a little pricey at first, they're worth it! And they're huge! Soooo worth the price. We had the shrimp rolls and they were delicious! Immensely friendly staff, which is always a good thing! The young man working the counter was all smiles and good information!

So adorable and charming. Ordered a sandwhich here and it was served in a little wicker basket. Very delicious - order it spicy!

The seating was bench and table, not too busy early afternoon to sit where we wanted. Ordered Pho (Combo & Brisket), Banh Mi Chicken and a Bubble Peach Tea. The food took longer than a typical Pho restaurant takes. The boba tea came out right away. The drink was grainy, which leads me to assume they use the powdered mixture. The Tapioca balls were mushy. Not recommended as this drink gets a 2. The Banh Mi was good 3.5, meat was not dry and plenty of fillings. The negative was the mayo, a little too much as it overpowered the taste. I needed to add sauces to counter. The Pho bowls were excellent 5, the regular was still a lot. They need to add a smaller bowl. There was a lot of meat, more than normal. The broth was not greasy. The side toppings were fresh and not wilted. Highly recommend trying this place out. We happen to drive by and the colorful windows caught our attention. We only ate Vietnamese dishes, but they have other items fried rice to tenders to satisfy any party. Next time I come out, I will try their noodle bowls.

The place is lovely. There was only one server who seemed to be doing it all but she did a great job and was very nice. when i asked for tofu as my protein she asked if i was vegetarian or vegan to make sure there was nothing in the dish that I shouldn't have. Props for that. I had golden cashew which apparently can be vegan when modified. golden cashew is made with garlic, chili, vinegar, and our signature house sauce. Fresh vegetables are sautéed and the dish is finished of with your choice of meat, roasted cashews, and a side of steamed rice. Delish and I was able to bring some home for lunch today My friend had the Saigon Crepe Gluten-Free. VM. Also known as Bánh Xèo, literally translates to "sizzling pancake", is named for the loud sizzling sound it makes when the rice batter is poured into the hot skillet. Our Saigon Crêpe is a Vietnamese savory fried pancake made of rice flour, water, and turmeric powder. It is stuffed with bean sprouts, carrots, onions, and a choice of chicken and prawns, or tofu. I tasted it and was super good. I'd get that the next time.

It looks unassuming on the outside, but it is all heart on the inside. You can tell this restaurant has been well-loved in this neighborhood for years-- 28 years in fact! I dug the community vibes and organized hustle and bustle atmosphere. We sat at the counter because it was a full house with many more customers waiting in line to get a table. I'm so glad we sat at the counter-- best seats in the house IMO because we got to chat with the friendly staff and get a close-up view of some entertaining behind the scenes action. I highly recommend the Combo Plate ("Cơm Thập Cẩm" that's comprised of roast duck, roasted pork, and BBQ pork over steamed rice with pickled veggies and their house sauce). Ohmygosh, what a treat!!! Everything tasted so good and the service was welcoming and efficient. It was a lot of food so I took about half of it to go. Including a stuffed sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf that was in a pile next to me and looked too irresistible for me not to take at least one home. This restaurant is a new favorite of mine in Tacoma. They informed me that a more fancy-looking and modern one is located in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle. I plan to check it out one day. Hopefully, it'll be just as great as this OG one.

They play electro dance music and the TV just cycles between short clips of cities like Rio de Janiero. Nothing is particularly cohesive but service is very friendly and they show up where it counts, the food. Food: I'm an American born Chinese kid from California and the food here could go head to head with anything in San Diego or LA. The broth is clean and simple Chinese style soup, not too salty and perfectly reduced. They load the bowls with tons of protein and are very flexible with whatever combination of proteins you want. The cha sui is perfect with just the right amount of sweet glaze and a touch of char to keep it interesting. The roast pork has one of the crispiest skins I've had which you can just let soak in the broth to your desired consistency. The duck is moist, tender, and relatively meaty (sometimes restaurants source scrawny ducks which are mostly bone). The weakest part of dish is the which have that store-bought taste and could be fresher and slightly more al dente. Overall this some of the best Chinese BBQ I've had, as good as any major city I've been. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!

I used to receive Mom's vietnamese home cooking frequently and I lived near the Asian hubbubs with easy access to all the cuisine, but now I have to discover new places here in Washington to satiate my taste buds. Everything I've tried so far has been good. I've been content. But here!! I ordered takeout through Doordash, and as soon as I picked up my food, an aroma of so many flavors filled up my car. Parking is kinda annoying since it's on the street but I arrived within 30 mins of opening hours so it wasn't terrible yet. The restaurant already had at least a table or so, with customers, so I wouldn't be surprised if it got busier later. There's a fair amount of space and tables for hungry stomachs! The food was about ready by the time I arrived, and the 30 min drive home left me feeling famished and ready to dig in. Thankfully, I was not disappointed. Everything was packaged well so that nothing spilled during the car ride, and everything was so yummy! I ordered more than I originally intended... I was craving com tam (broken rice) and couldn't find a satisfactory place near my residence, so I drove all the way here to Tacoma.. and then I figured, I might as well order their Banh Xeo too! The photos online made it look so good, and it ended up tasting amazing! Slightly crispy and stuffed just enough with bean sprouts, meat, and other goodies. Perfect after drizzling some of the sauce over it. The Com Tam was also made well, and definitely hit my cravings with its classic ingredients. I ordered a Large Pho Bo Vien (meatball) for my son, and was sooo tempted to eat some myself. The broth smelled fresh and the noodles were cooked nicely. Decent portions for everything, too. I definitely need to return to try out more of their food. So far, it has made me one happy Viet gal :)
