I was there on a weekday late morning. This is a store that usually has exactly what I wanted, plus more. This was not the case today. Not only were they out of several things I wanted, but also several sale items were completely out as well. There were lots of staff there to count inventory today. I am sometimes able to pick up an item or two on clearance, but there weren't many of those available either. Overall, the store was clean, but I was sad that I couldn't get what I came for, as this store is usually stocked quite well. Hopefully next visit will be different! read more

Good store with lots of organic products. Seems a bit cheaper than Whole Foods but not cheap. It can be a bit hard to find specific things.

Do not use for Instacart pick up! They replaced 5 lbs of $4.50 beef with 1 lb of organic at $10.79 a lb, and replaced 2.5 lbs of crab with a pound of barramundi at nearly the same price per pound. And messed up the last item too. Definitely understand you can occasionally be out of stock ? But the outrageous decisions on replacements? Clearly whomever did this doesn't actually shop for a family. Do better Fresh Thyme. read more

In a surprising twist of events, we needed to find a wedding cutting cake STAT and a caterer friend suggested we get one from Fresh Thyme citing that this had happened to her before and the Lemon cutting cake in particular was delicious. The location at the Foundry does not sell these cakes, so we were glad when we found them at our second store, Kirkwood. As other reviewers have noted, the store is located at a busy intersection and can lead to difficulty/slow getting into the parking lot. On our Friday afternoon visit, there was plenty of parking to be had. The cakes were easily found in the bakery refrigerator and the store is simply laid out. Fresh Thyme is a very versatile store. I had never been but have heard incredibly rave reviews from family members. I finally went, and it truly is worth the hype! If anyone has ever been to Arizona or Texas, this place is very similar to "Sprouts", but in my opinion, better. As someone who gets migraines the open smelly soaps right by the checkout make this store very unappealing. The strong odor of lavender etc permeates the whole store and for sensitive people it is bad. read more

Popped in to get some vitamins and take a look at their selection. Getting into this parking lot can be tricky, the entrance isn't far past the intersection so it can be easy to miss! This store is like an indoor farmers market which is super nice, who doesn't like a farmers market? It's super clean and organized and they offer a lot of options of items than your typical grocery store. It has Whole Foods vibes but a bit less pricy. They have so many vitamin options which was awesome! Fully stocked and easy to follow with the categories. I also stopped by the bulk candy aisle and got some chocolate covered almonds. Self checkout was easy to navigate. I rarely come here since there isn't one super close to my house, but def will be in if I'm in the neighborhood to do my weekly shopping :) read more

I usually don't write reviews for grocery stores but this place is an exception. I love this place because everything is so fresh. The sushi I grabbed was great and reasonably priced for the amount I got. I honestly was only in here to catch the sale on the seafood but this place has all the bells and whistles. I do love that the staff is friendly and so helpful when you can't find things. They go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and that is one of the reasons why I continue to come here. read more

Lovely fresh market grocer with prices that won't knock you into bankruptcy. I love the vast variety of fresh fruits & vegetables in particular. They always have exactly what I'm looking for; and if they don't a friendly employee is usually within ear-shot to guide the way. They have the common departments such as Bakery, Hot Food, Deli, Seafood, Frozen items, Health/Hygiene, etc. There's a cafe area if you want to eat your meal & simply chillax prior to leaving the store. You can find a microwave, napkins, utensils, tables, benches in this area. If your under 3' tall grab a snack in your way out the door (gratis) yep, parents all kiddos are welcome to a piece of fruit. I love how the encourage healthy eating by offering a tiny fresh fruit stand for toddlers. Anywho, as if I haven't already sold you on the place; they have a section for you to pour & label your own oils & vinegars such as Sherry & Extra Virgin Olive fresh out the canister. Just pour however much you need, label, weigh & pay. This way your not tied to a $8 bottle if all you're looking for is a dab. I'm rambled on too long. This is by far my favorite place to shop. They have some great items here that you will not find elsewhere, and cold pressed juices that are just phenomenal. Try the apple raspberry, you won't be sorry. Their produce is always fresh and delicious and you can get locally sourced products here as well. The staff are always friendly and helpfulZ the store is clean with a layout that makes sense. It isn't overly priced and that makes it worth my while to. Are the drive. I was having the hardest time shipping steaks to my dad in Dallas for Father's Day. Who knew with the new postal regulations on dry ice (can't weigh over 5 lbs, can't be flown by airplane, must be in special packaging & marked 'hazardous', blah blah) It's made it hard to find for sale I'm guessing due to owners not wanting to deal with the legalities. So after days of trying, Fresh Thyme absolutely made my day when they said they had it in stock!! Also, had it ready & packaged super well when I arrived being it was 98*day! I really enjoy going to a market that actually has great produce! It is always good! I never worry is this going to actually taste like a peach or grapes or a tomato.... The produce is the best in town and it does not go bad in 5 seconds! The meat counter is excellent as well! Fresh Fresh is what I find! Love everything you carry. One exception.....Small oranges in mesh bag from Morocco Thin peelings....hard to peel. And the flavor is not as delicious and juicy as from California. PS one orange had a dark area on the peeling 2" x 1/2".......it turned about 1/4 of the orange dark inside (discarded) and affected the flavor. I'm 100% for your Store ....just thought you would appreciate information regarding one product. I've never had one single item in the past that wasn't 100% perfect. Checked out this store for the 1st time over the weekend. I generslly shop at Aldi and I'm not exactly into healthier foods so I am probablt not the target audience for this store...but I get the ad every week and it always has good deals and cool stuff. So I stopped in to grab a couple produce items and shop around a bit. The meat counter employee was proactive and helpful- he offered tips on how to cook a few items I hadn't seen before and asked about. I liked the bulk shopping area and enjoyed checking out different food varieties. The produce section looked amazing- i purchased some bell peppers and lemons and they tasted great. Also- if you have a gluten free dietary restriction this is a great place to shop- lots of options including cool baked treats like brownies and cookies. I gave it a 3 because i wasn't impressed overall with the staff. I was looking for a few things I can't get from Aldi but was hoping to get here. I asked a couple of employees where general foods were and they didnt know (ex. Cooking sauces/oils). One employee told me its not her section so she wouldn't know. I did find an employee thay helped me but didn't seem too familiar with the options on the shelf. Overall if the employees are "on the floor" I expect them to be able to point me in the right direction or say they need to find out and ask a colleague for help. read more

This is the type of store you'd get if you combined Whole Foods and Lucky's together. It actually reminds me of the Fresh Market store that was on Olive in Creve Coeur and I loved that store. I like the small boutique feeling and the mass selection of organic foods. Being similar to WF & having organic foods, the pricing is on the high end. The meats and seafood reminded me of the high quality you find at Whole Foods. Their vegetables and fruits selections reminded me of the produce at Lucky's. The merchandising was crisp and clean, making their products very tempting. There was no hard liquor, but they had an excellent variety of wine and craft beers. Their brand offerings are not the typical mass brands you find at our neighborhood grocers in town. It will take some experimenting to get to know these brands. I was there three hours after opening, so judging the customer service would not be fair. Those that I had interchange with, were friendly. However, you could tell some of the staff was overwhelmed with the volume of people visiting on the first day. I have confidence in them, as time passes, their skills will improve. Will I return? This location is very large. It is orderly and clean, which is a plus.The BF and I have never been to a Fresh Thyme market and I wanted to check it out, so we stopped in last night. The employees are friendly and this market has an interesting selection of items. The BF found a BLT dip of theirs we purchased last night which was really interesting, it's very good with tortilla chips. I found a smoked mozzarella, penne and spinach salad to try, which was ok. They have an extensive variety of sausages we noticed that we want to try. I especially want to see how their chicken apple sausage compares to others. They are definately having issues with keeping the store stocked. There is a salad bar, olive bar and a huge grab-n-go case that showcases their homemade products. There is an area of breads and baked goods that was scarce. They have a couple aisles dedictaed to their extensive bulk section, that carries snacks, candies, assorted nuts, etc where you control the quantity and pay by the pound. It is a nice edition to the area an offers an alternative option to your grocery experience. read more

I signed up for their emails, and started getting 3-4 emails every week...most listed special sales. I have driven to the Kirkwood, Mo. store on several occasions to shop for these specials, most of the time they have them...however on several occasions, the Kirkwood store had no knowledge of the sale. A wasted trip. There appears to be poor communication between corporate and the store. Many times, the specials require us to clip a digital coupon, which is easy to do...unless their website is having progamming problems, which has also happened on numerous occasions. read more

It's a nice market. Very close to my house. It was very crowded today and the music was blasting!! I can handle a crowd but not both. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I spent $140 on a standing rib roast for Christmas here. The roast had so much gristle we could barely cut it. We threw over half of it away. Do not waste your money . Aldi's has better quality. read more

Couldn't eat it after grilling - rubbery, horrible texture - truly inedible. Returned today and the cashier said, "yeah I stopped eating meat since I started working here!!" Today was my first visit to Fresh Thyme. I really like the set up of the store, even though it is smaller than most. I appreciate how many specialty brands are in stock and the regular store brands. Prices on organic meat and eggs were comparable as well as pantry items. I REALLY like their pricing on organic milk! My only complaint is that customer service could use some improvement. As I was browsing, I walked past two employees who were restocking shelves and neither one acknowledged my presence nor asked if I needed help. I was in the store for at least an hour, and it wasn't until the end of my visit one of the employees said "Good Morning." I'm one of the few people who enjoy grocery shopping for the experience, and for me that includes friendliness of the team members in addition to pricing, layout, products, etc. But putting that aside, I like the store and will definitely return to try their other products. read more

This is now the fourth Fresh Thyme location I've been to in the area. I've got it down now! I think this one is probably a bit larger than the other locations. I like the produce department here, I like the bulk bins, they have a very substantial beer and wine selection, and it's clean and bright. Perhaps the best department is the Health & Beauty and the supplements. Their selection is admirable. I have found alternative products to what Whole Foods carries and also the same products in different sizes. On my recent trip they had 25% off nutritional supplements + there was $2 off manufacturer coupon on the spirulina I needed sitting next to the product. I ended up getting like $8 off a $25 supplement. You can't beat that! It won't be a regular stop for me but I will certainly shop here from time to time. read more

This Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is typical in that it's set up like most other one that where I have gone like the location in Manchester and in Terre Haute. When I'm at home, regardless of being in St. Louis, Terre Haute or Milwaukee, and my work schedule, I do most of the grocery shopping and cooking for myself and my family, so I was happy that this location is very similar to the other locations. They have all the typical departments that are expected in the store that includes produce, meat, dairy, bakery and deli. Their aisles have the usual canned, bottled and boxed items, and there are specialty items that you will not have in other stores like freshly squeezed juices, and made up fruit trays for small parties. If you live in the general area, its a good place to go grocery shopping, but if you don't, you might have to make a special excursion just to see and shop there. One huge disadvantage is the configuration of getting into the parking lot. Because of medians on the streets and their location, you cannot make a left turn into the parking lot off of Manchester or Lindbergh. So when you go there, unless you can make a right turn easily onto the parking lot depending on what direction you are traveling, left turns just cannot be done onto the parking lot. Big store, decent selection, plenty of parking and rather convenient location. The building is well lit, Items are always stocked, and if you have trouble finding anything - employees aren't far to ask. Everyone seems in a positive mood, happy to greet you and happy to help. I am a big fan of the fresh squeezed juice, their sandwiches, and all the snacks you can buy! I don't do my regular weekly shopping here but I still stop in frequently and pick up a thing here and there when I need or have a want for it. I have no complaints about this location! This is my favorite grocery store beating Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Dierbergs. I love the selection of unique items and the prices are fair in my opinion. If you're not coming to select from their collection of essential oils or wine I'd still recommend visiting this grocer just for the shopping experience and upbeat customer service. My firsr time ever trying this store and it was awesome! Everyone and I mean everyone that worked there that I interacted with was extremely nice and helpful. The store was well stocked, cleaned, organized and the inviting environment made me buy a lot more than I normally would or needed. I want to thank the employees and management for hiring and TRAINING great employees. Nobody had an attitude, everyone was wearing a mask COVERING their noses and seemed happy to be working there. I drove 25 minutes because of a recommendation from a friend. I needed 10 lbs of asparagus for a party and when I arrived and saw what they had, I was upset I had wasted my time. They were thinner than pencils, dried up bottoms and seeding heads, completely inedible. The produce manager needs to look at product before accepting it. read more

I was not sure what to expect when I walked into Fresh Thyme for the first time. I had heard people talk about how much they liked the store, so I decided to check it out. It was much bigger on the inside than I expected (bigger than Trader Joe's stores). I was immediately impressed by the size of the produce department. They have every produce item I could think of and it was all well stocked and I did not even have to pick through to find undamaged/unbruised items. The prices were very reasonable as well (some items were comparable to the prices at Aldi). The salad bar was huge and fully stocked as well, even late in the evening when most stores would have already cleared out their salad bar. They have a very nice deli where you can have custom sandwiches made, with Boar's Head meat. There is an aisle with a huge variety of nut/trail mixes where you can choose whatever quantity you want and pay by weight. They also have a large variety of organic items including cereals, snacks, and frozen foods. The store was very clean and the staff were friendly. By the checkout lanes, they have a stand where children can select a piece of fruit for free. I will definitely be returning to Fresh Thyme!! read more
