There was quite few people in line, so the food kept running out and I noticed they were fast to refill all the food trays, which made the food taste super fresh. I got the two entrées and chowmein platter, super yummy, that consisted of orange chicken and barbeque chicken. The portions were very filling they were not stingy with their chicken. This place was the closest wok to my friends house in chino. I eat wok type food at least once every couple weeks, so my expectations were not that high. Cause how can you mess up wok chinese food. My friend and I both ordered 2 entree combo. 1. Chow mein w/ orange chicken & bbq pork 2. Chow mein w/ orange chicken & string bean chicken The noodles are pretty darn good. I like the flavor. Tastes more authentic. Orange chicken has too much batter. Steing bean chicken has a bunch of carrots but ok. Lastly the bbq pork was dry. But if you're hungry it wont matter. Garbage! As I walked in I was wondering.. why is this place so empty at about 5:15pm on a weekday evening?? 1 person ahead of me and it took about 10 minutes to get to my turn. Strike 1! Service overall I would rate a 1 star. Food a 1.5, the rice was very greasy and saturated with salty soy sauce. I would NEVER order this again. And beware of rude staff. I was in the mood for some Chinese food so grabbed a quick meal here. Like most Chinese fast food, Fresh Wok offers some decent food at a good cost. You also get a whopping portion. I ordered a two item entree with fried rice and chow mein. Usually chow mein taste a whole lot better than fried rice in my opinion but it was the opposite here with the fried rice tasting better. The chow mein was still decent. The sweet and sour pork was the best of the items I ordered with the teriyaki chicken second. I was stuffed with lots leftover but knew I'd be hungry again within the hour so it was finished before the night was up. The old lady taking the payment was extremely rude to me. The card I wanted to use was a swipe only card and the machine's display said insert, swipe or tap. I understand that not all devices offer all three but why display it if it isn't available. I kept trying to ask her how I could swipe it and all she would tell me was just tap it. She wasn't listening to my question and kept getting ruder the more I would repeat my question. Seeing the situation at hand my friend then just offered to pay for it but, again she didn't listen to what we were saying and began to take the food back while my friend's payment was going through. She didn't even pay attention to the food she was giving me because it wasn't what I had ordered. When we asked her if it was the right food it was right she quickly told us what was in it and from there she decided to start solely speaking in her language, which we found incredibly rude and offensive. We were just asking her a question and there was no need for her to treat us but mostly me that way. I was extremely embarrassed because of the way she was treating me and I know she was also talking poorly of me in her language. She disregarded all of my questions and didn't give me a minute of her attention. She made me feel like I was trying to swindle her but in reality I was just trying to pay. The worst part was when I finally got home and ate my food. The chicken and green beans was mediocre, the chow mei was okay, not the worst but I have had better, and the orange chicken was a complete joke, it's more like orange colored breading with no flavor. Food was definitely not worth al the hassle I had went through to get it. The girls who served the food were actually nice but it was really overshadowed by the dragon lady at the register. The orange chicken was not even chicken, just hard cooked breading, literally. The beef broccoli was large broccoli florets and tiny pieces of beef. You think they are done scooping, well...you're wrong. I got their BBQ chicken, vegetables, and brown rice. I really like their BBQ chicken because it is drenched in some sweetness goodness. I really like their BBQ chicken here. Their vegetables is just your typical vegetables you would find at a fast food Chinese joint. The brown rice, I would get it again. The only food that stood out from my plate is the BBQ chicken. Yum. In the past I've had their beef and broccoli, the chow mein, fried rice, and orange chicken. All has been good. I don't recall having something I didn't like. I've never ordered drinks here. Service: I came here around 7 PM. There was probably 8 people in front of us and probably took about 10 minutes or so until it was our turn to order the food. In some instances I've seen the line almost out the door. This place is similar to Panda Express where the food is laid out, point to what you want, and ask for samples if needed. The employees I've dealt with are friendly, fast, and efficient. Restaurant: This is located in a plaza area so the parking spots are shared with the other stores in the surrounding area. This place is big enough to bring a group of 6 or so in here if need be. You would probably need to collect all the tables and chairs since what I saw was a typical 2 or 4 seater tables. I don't think I've ever eaten my food inside the restaurant. I typically order my food and take it home. They do have the one and only gender neutral restroom here - a sit-down toilet and urinal. It's usually pretty clean. Kid-Friendly? My 2 year old eats the food here especially the chow mein. If using the restroom at the restaurant for a toddler, there is no changing table. The restroom is big enough to accommodate probably three typical strollers. If you need to wait in line to order the restaurant is roomy enough to accommodate a stroller. Bottom line: - I'd come here again for a quick grab and go meal. - I'd take my kid here with a stroller if there is a long line. read more

My third and last time eating here. The first time I tried it the food was hot and delicious. The past 2 times all my food was cold when I got home, and I came in during prime dinner hour between 5 and 6:30. I live THREE minutes away. I'm not complaining about cold Chinese food at 2:30 when it's not busy. There is no excuse for cold food during prime dinner hour. Especially when I specifically asked the lady, what just came out? And then ordered from what she said. I honestly think she gave me the LEAST freshest items aka the items that "need to sell" before they get so cold they have to toss it out. Very very disappointed. Their "broccoli beef" is about 98% broccoli. I've tried the egg rolls and cream cheese won tons all extremely disappointing as well. The egg rolls taste like if you bought frozen ones from the grocery store and made them at home, oh and they were cold. The cream cheese won tons had the tiniest smidgen of cream cheese, and they were also cold. The orange chicken was bready, soggy, and guess what else! Yup cold. With these types of Chinese take out spots, the taste and flavor is basically the same, so what's left to compare which ones are better and worse ones is how fresh the food is. Quite simply, they are cooking too large a quantity at once and putting it out too soon. People don't mind waiting a little for fresh food. Nobody wants cold Chinese food. I mean, not right when you get it at least. I shouldn't have to microwave my food before I eat it. I refuse to give them any more of my business and from now on will be driving the extra few minutes to try W cafe, or go to panda or golden chopstix by Ralph's, because it is simply unacceptable. read more
