One of my favorite things about this place is how clean it is. I also like that the meat and meat products are in a completely different building from the produce. Staff is always available to answer questions. They will check in back for you if don't see out what you want. The produce sections has a chalk board up displaying organic and local options available that day. That's pretty neat. In the meat section, you can get ideas from staff on how to cook various cuts of meat. Which is always a good thing for us trying to figure out what's for dinner. I personally love the variety of meats that aren't pork. They have loads of meat products like corn dogs and uncured turkey bacon for people like me who don't eat pork. It's my new favorite spot. I absolutely love this place. I really wished they had more than one location. The customer service is always great & no matter how crowded they are once your in line it moves fast. This place has some of the best quality meats & produce & they aren't expensive. It even has a little snack place outside that sells frozen yogurt with fruit, turkey legs & sandwiches & a few other things. When i go here i don't get distracted because it's one side for meat & one side for produce. It's not super big inside but you're in & out so quickly it doesn't bother you. If your on a budget trust me you will come here & taco up on quality meat & produce & not hurt your pockets. They only accept cash btw. The Meat dept has LOTS of varieties and they also have CHOICE BEEF which means the QUALITY is higher than MOST supermarkets and equal with Costco. The Produce dept is nice and cheap too... Lots of variety. I bought 2 bags of trimmed collards for $2.99 each big bag. Parking is packed and surprisingly There were a few spots empty. A co-worker mentioned this store to me and ive passed by this place many times without stopping by but Today - Im glad I did. I will be going back to purchase my Oxtails for the Holidays and place it in the freezer because I heard they raise prices up closer to the Holidays. Oh when u cash out they give u freebies ..lols. While visiting here on may 25th, I found this market. The produce and meat were great. However, the customer service needs to be addressed. As I was in line in the produce department about 11:00, 2 women were obviously starting their time to work because 1 came in and got on register 8 to check out customers right away while the other went to register 10 and seemed to be too busy laughing with another cashier instead of helping with the line that was getting rather long! Then I went to the meat department and again I got the same woman that was on register 8 in produce that was now on meat department register 3. And as she rang me up the same girl that I heard laughing and giggling was with a male employee on register 4 instead of helping. Her name was Alyssa or alisa or something like that with an A. I feel employee's wandering around and not helping is an unnecessary burden to employees performing outstandingly. As I am a customer service expert you should address this! It's unfair to others and a waste of your money to not have solid employees. They appear to me to be taking advantage and lazy. read more

His place is just too good! Such a great selection of fresh fruits and veggies at great prices. You can find all the produce you need for an outstandingly fresh meal within just a few minutes of browsing through the winding isles. There is a separate entrance meat shop here too, also great deals on meats. It's best to hit up Freshfield Farms at off peak times as the parking lot and store can get really, really crowded. Coming around 5:30pm to 6:30pm is very, very busy. Often times I park on the street and walk across the road since it's just easier to navigate in and out that way. In the front of the store, between the produce and the meat store entrances is a small cafe window where you can buy (cash only in cafe) ice cream cones/sundaes and cooked turkey legs. Somehow this makes the crowded shopping area much more fun. I really love this place, but be prepared to have your personal space invaded. read more

So glad to have this market in the neighborhood. It may not carry everything I need, but it does have the basics, such as an amazing array of fruits and veggies, and pretty much all the meats. You can also find Cabbot cheese at the lowest prices around, and some really good deli meats (their turkey bacon is soooo delish). They used to have rotisserie chicken, but recently they switch to smoked refrigerated chicken, which was very tasty to be honest. Best part is how affordable it can be. I can go and get a full bag of produce and a full (smaller) bag of meats, for about $20 each, and then pick up a cup of soft serve ice cream on my way out for less than $2. They have a good array of organic produce and hormone free meats, so it's not like you go buy lower quality stuff for a cheaper price, it's all very good food. read more

I normally enjoy shopping at Freshfield Farms, but on March 13 or 14, when I went, the line was out the door and around the side of the building because they were doing social distancing. I dropped my husband off and told him I would meet him inside after I found a parking spot. There were no spots in the parking lot, so I parked across the street in the dollar store parking lot. When I got to the door, the employee working there said I could not go in, without waiting in line, I explained to him my husband was already in there and that he is almost legally blind and need help shopping. I was again told, I could not go in without waiting in line. I asked to speak to a manager and explained the situation, and she also told me, I could not go in without waiting in the line. I told her she could check our IDs to match our last names and watch us pay in one transaction, and she still refused to let me in. Just recently for $20.00, I bought 2 packages of strawberries, 2 packages of raspberries, 3 giant mangos, zucchini, bananas, chicken breasts, and ground turkey. The quality is much higher and the price is much cheaper than your regular grocery store! The only downside is that if you're looking to buy your cookies, crackers, pasta sauces, etc., you're going to have to make an extra stop on the way home, as they only carry produce, meats. cheeses, eggs, and grains. Freshfields Farm has a produce and a meat section, which have two separate entrances where you will have to check out and pay for your items at one section before going to the next. It's very organized and you can easily find everything you're looking for. However, I made the mistake of going on a Sunday and oh man does it get crowded and parking can be a bit overwhelming. They have employees stocking everything up constantly, so if you think they're out of something, literally check back in that section 2 minutes later and it will be fully stocked again. If you aren't looking for raw meat that you have to cook, the meat department has a deli counter for your sliced deli meat and cheese needs. Also, the produce department carries fresh herbs, which is awesome, some of which you won't be able to find at your regular grocery store. As an example of the quality and cheap prices: I was shopping for asparagus two days prior to going to Freshfields, and one thing that stood out to me was that at the regular grocery store (that shall not be named) had packaged asparagus for $5.00 and change, while Freshfields had bundled asparagus (about twice the amount as the packaged) for only $3.00 and change and in much better quality. So that's when the light bulb went off and I realized I've been doing my grocery shopping all wrong and will definitely be coming to Freshfields for all of my meat/produce items from now on. read more

They offer a variety of beef cuts grown the natural way; no hormones, grass fed, and no antibiotics. Freshfields Market make a stand on providing natural produce and meats. The prices are decent and excellent compared to any Whole Foods market with the same or better quality. Any family on a budget should take advantage of the bulk items, you receive a great amount at a much lower cost. Not only does the produce look great but the prices are excellent! You'll need to check it out for yourself. For example, we bought a couple quarter pint of blueberries for only $1.50 and 12 limes for $3, plus some other great deals! Wow, I can't think of another place like this in Orlando. Today was my first visit, and I'm thinking about how to best describe Freshfields Farm. Hectic. Busy. Confusing. Well-stocked. Tons of variety. So cheap that you wonder if there's a catch. Let me try to explain. The confusing part is because there are actually multiple check in and check out areas, inside the barn building. Starting with the produce section, you snake through the path (if you're from the Northeast and have ever visited Stew Leonards, you'll know what I mean). The produce is fresh and beautiful. Lots of local items, lots of variety. I found Buddha's hand. I found ginger as big as my head. At least 6 different types of pears (but oddly, only a few types of tomatoes, and no heirloom). I found whole coconuts and a big selection of tropical fruits and veggies. And the prices! Limes are 12 for $3. Lemons are 4 for $3. The quality looked great, and these prices are a fraction of Whole Foods, less than Publix, and I think even less than WalMart. Once you snake through the produce section (and pay, they have their own cash register area), you then leave the building and go in another door for meats and seafood. The variety there is equally as impressive. The usual beef, pork and chicken selections are there - as well as lamb in every cut you can imagine. I didnt see Prime meats, but they do have a separate butcher counter. It's possible they sell prime meat - again, this is the hectic part of it. It might be because we were there on a Sunday, but this place was crazy. Because of the "snaking" way the store is set up, you are really following a loosely formed line of people. But there is lots of pushing, running kids, cart jams...it's not easy to stop and browse and contemplate. It's more like make a quick decision and throw it in your cart before you get run down by the mob. Service was fast and friendly, and as helpful as could be in the madness. We purchased some ground sirloin, and a few strip steaks. The prices were incredible, and I'm hoping they taste as good as they look. If they do, I can see why the mob of people are so enthusiastic to come here. I'd like to go back on a weekday where I can spend more time getting to know all the store can offer. read more

This place is amazing! It definitely holds up to its name! Although it was a hassle to find a parking, believe me folks, it was all worth it! There are two entrances to the store; the meats and the veggies/fruits. It's pretty organize as you walk in a line around the entire store up to check out! Prices are clear to read, great low prices, and fresh food! I swear I heard the cow mooing from my slab of meat! They also have a window creamery section where they sell ice cream, turkey leg, and hot dogs if you get hungry. Let's put it this way, I spent $85 in steaks, chicken, salmon, pork, ribs, ground meat, for a family of four and will last me about 15 days! I spent $20 in veggies! Contrary to popular belief, Freshfields Farm is not merely known for being Orlando's most tongue-twister named establishment (for real- try saying Freshfields Farm three times quickly. "Freshfields Farm, Freshflees Flarm, Fleshfreed FFFFFF****"). Nay, it is also a shop for the everyman. Get ready to slowly stalk families and hippies in the parking lot on a Sunday because the secret is out-- Freshfields has relatively cheap, sometimes local, often organic, and always fresh fruit and veggies and a whole separate store on the other side for your meat, dairy, and seafood needs. Wait. Did you hear that? Vegans all over Orlando just breathed a collective sigh of relief at the realization that they won't have to confront the savagery and brutalism that is a meat department. You're welcome! But srsly though, ditch Whole Foods and Fresh Market and get your organic, Birkenstock-wearing ass to FFF (not even attempting this tongue/finger twister anymore). Here you'll find bins full of those fresh fruits and veggies I've mentioned a few times at prices far below the bigger shops. I'll note that their prepackaged Organic Girl salad greens and kale (the kind that's also at Publix) tends to wilt much more quickly than the same packages I buy at Publix... I'm imagining it's because Publix sprays some crazy-GMO-monsanto-evil-make-your-veggies-last-forever-toxins on theirs, but I have no proof and I'm usually full of composted manure. In terms of the meat/cheese/seafood store, you're going to find MUCH cheaper cuts of fish and meat than those fancy shops and you'll know where they came from (for the most part). Finally, the staff. They are so happy and nice that I worry there's a Stepford situation afoot. And then I saw the sign on the door advertising open positions with all starting salaries at $10+/hr. I guess when you pay people a more fair wage they tend to be happier and make the experience more pleasant for the customer. Shocker. I have been coming this location for many years now. The place offeres unmatched selection of fruit, vegetables, herbs, berries. In addition, you can find seasonal varieties of locally grown produce. We shop in bulk stores a lot, but the prices are still much lower at Freshfield's than anywhere else. Everything is always very fresh, and you can find organic options for a few items. If you buy leafy greens, you can ask for jalapeno peppers at checkout, and the cashier will gladly throw a handful in your bag for free. You can make it a family event and get ice cream at the old-fashioned window. There is additional section with meats and fish. I do not shop there now because we switched to irganic meats, but the variety and the cuts are very lavish. Even though it gets busy, the flow is very fast, you will wait in checkout lane for more than 5 minutes. Great value for meats and produce sourced locally! The only reason I'm giving this 4/5 stars is just because of the distance from my house in West Orlando. Located right off Michigan in the downtown Orlando area, this mom and pop grocery has plenty of good deals. The produce and meats are housed separately and are usually packed full of customers on any given day, but mostly on Sunday. I was so surprised how large and cheaply priced their produce are and bountiful there are. Strawberries just happened to be the biggest deal where it was 3/$5!!!! They smell so sweet, truth be told you can smell all the fruits and locally grown herbs just by picking them up. Next door at the meats are cleanly packaged in moderate to large consumption size packages of beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. They all look fresh and the butcher area has some decent looking steaks ready for your choosing. Majority of the meats are really decently priced and some are even antibiotic free as well. Definitely coming back here and just to top it off is that there is yummy ice cream to treat yourself after shopping. My new Sunday grocery destination! read more

I normally love this place as it it my go to location to get fresh veggies and produce. I especially love the dried mango they offer, but I have to give 2 stars. I recently went there to get some produce during the COVID-19 lockdown. I really appreciated how they handled shopping during this time to keep everyone safe. That being said, when I went home and open a package of dried mango to snack on, I found what appears to be a hair in the packaging. It's either that or a piece from a hairnet. Either way, I threw the whole thing away and I'm cautious about going back. I also noticed that when I opened up all 4 mangos that I got on sale, they were rotten on the inside. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. It is freaking amazing. It is one establishment but with two different entries. A produce entry with all of the fresh farmed produce you can imagine. There is another door that takes you to the meat shop that has all the meats (frozen and fresh) and cheese you can imagine! Prices are AMAZING! Cheap and affordable. I do not feel like I am getting ripped off. I kinda love this place because it does not have all the other temptations cookies, candies, sodas etc that a normal grocery store. The products are FRESH. I am able to get a load of fresh produce and meat for a reasonable price - saving tons of money compared to going to Publix. They have 2 stores next to each other. One is for fruit and vegetables for your produce needs. You check out here too and proceed to the meat store next door. Contrary to the information on this page, there is no sanitizing of carts, no mask enforcement at the door for guests, and staff is not 100% compliant with masks - more like 80% mask compliant when I went in today. Good: prices and variety of produce. Terrible/Sad: When it was my turn to check-out on the produce side, there were four cashiers. Three of them were in a mask, one without. When it was my turn to go, it was for the person without a mask. I declined by shaking my head "no" and pointing at my mask to let them know why I wasn't going to them. Then, she laughed out loud and turned to her co-worker and loudly said "she's not coming to me because I'm not wearing a mask!" which I could hear from the line. Well, this is not my store so I don't make the rules but it is very, very rude and inconsiderate to LAUGH at a guest who does not want to interact with a staff member who is not in a mask. Even if someone is vaccinated, you can still get sick from Covid. I don't know this person or her life, I'm not going to risk what makes me feel safe to protect my family so a random person can be breath all over my vegetables. Then what really disappointed me even more was when I told her that "it is not nice to laugh at someone", she replied "I didn't laugh at you!" which is a lie. If there's camera footage for that day and time you'll see it. So I was mocked, lied to, and insulted. Still got a lot of cheap groceries and the other staff members and a manager apologized to me while I cried outside. For a family-type business, it's disappointing to see a worker there who lacks kindness (to laugh at a customer) and integrity (to then lie about it five minutes later). Oh my gosh! I lived right near this store for five years and shopped there once or twice but it was so crowded on the weekends I didn't appreciate it. I moved out of the area and I now drive over an hour to shop there. They have a great variety of fresh produce and meats. I buy all of my produce and all of the meat that I need from the store. The price is excellent which is of course even more important now that grocery prices have gone up so high.
