Recently visited with a friend for lunch. The restaurant was beautiful and clean; we both commented on our love of the design! From the calming colors down to the cute succulents, their atmosphere is on point. We both ordered the Zen bowl and added tuna. It was a great combination. I didn't know you could mix both greens and rice as a base, but I would definitely do that next time. Service was friendly, fast, and we enjoyed our lunch. My Mango Tango had nice flavor and texture. We thought we ordered ordered the custom Kalua Pork for my husband and all he got was pork, rice and black sesame seeds. I know it was close to closing but what gives. Very disappointed and we weren't able to correct the issue because they didn't answer the phone and didn't have their voicemail setup. Disappointed. I need to update this post. I went back today and Jessica was great. She fixed me up with the correct order and my husband loved it! Fresh, tasty and smells great! I was hooked on Freshfin Poke after attending a Yelp event here several months ago. I've dined in and carried out a few more times since then and really do enjoy their poke offerings. My favorite is the Spicy Tuna bowl. I like that you can mix your base, I usually choose greens and brown rice. Super delicious! I'm also a fan of the Zen bowl when I'm on a vegan kick. It's simple and tasty. For that option I go easy on the sauce because sometimes it can be too much. You can also BYO but I like the signature bowls best. Location is clean and I enjoy the minimalist design. The decor is simple with fish on the ceiling and walls. The service is usually very good. Had a hiccup here or there with waiting at the counter a little longer than one should but it hasn't changed my opinion. Overall this is a favorite stop when in the Brookfield area. I don't know why people are always nervous to try new things and I don't think people understand the concept of this place, because it's so much more than sushi bowl. How does it work? Go up to the counter, order, they give you a number and deliver​ it to your seat! All the fish here is fresh! There is no smell when you come in here that hits you in the face. Inside each bowl, you taste all the ingredients, not a fish taste. You can pick a pre-put​ together bowl or BYO! For the BYO you pick a protein (1 or 2 kinds) a base of rice, noodles or greens, and a sauce (1 or 2 kinds). All add-ins​ and toppings are free except avocado​! They have super cheap apps that include a ​crab salad, seaweed​ salad, ​and an edamame dip. All the salads are fresh​ and not overloaded​ with any condiments like mayo. Sides are on the lighter side, and come with a super cheap price tag! They have a curry poke bowl that can be a good mix up from the other standard​ poke bowl flavors! After seeing a Facebook post which stated that on a particular day, a portion of their sales would be donated for breast cancer research, my friend and I decided to stop in at FreshFin and check it out. For those who aren't familiar with poke, it is a traditional Hawaiian dish that consists of rice, raw fish, and Asian style toppings such as seaweed and soy sauce. However, there are many variations of poke that one can create. FreshFin gives you many options to choose from. You can either go with one of their signature bowls, or you can create your own. When we arrived, the gentleman who took our order was very kind and did a great job of explaining the menu to us. He also gave us some recommendations based on what we told him we liked. I ultimately decided to go with the build your own bowl option. For my protein, I picked the Ahi Tuna and Salmon, with white rice for the base. I then added avocado, cilantro, and crispy garlic. As soon as I took the first bite, my mouth practically burst out in song. It was amazing! Everything was so flavorful. The crispy garlic does have a bit of a kick to it, just a head's up. But it's worth it. I now have a craving for some poke, and need to make another trip here very soon! read more

I love this place. Or should I say I love the flagship store on North Ave in Milwaukee. This location has let me down on numerous occasions. I went there on at Thursday at 8:00pm (not really busy) and put in my order and asked specifically for two sauces: the sriracha aioli and sweet shoyu. When I received my order there is no aioli insight and my bowl is drowning in the sweet shoyu. This isn't the first time that this has happened. The first time I thought it was a fluke so I gave them another chance. Then it happened again and again. It's laughable at this point to whomever is making the orders isn't paying attention to detail. I spend a decent amount of money here and for $12 a bowl I would hope the "cook" would at least get my order right once. If you're looking for a superior experience for Poké I would make the travel down to Milwaukee and not to its inferior sister store in Brookfield. Extremely disappointing. read more

Freshfin held up to its namesake, and I was all around pleased by my experience and meal. The cashier taking my order and also the server where extremely kind and welcoming even when me and my friends took a second to absorb all of the options available. The interior was sleek and clean, and I liked how they give back to the community through the bowl donating program available. The fish tasted fresh, there were plenty of options and my my build your own bowl was filled to the brim. I also liked how they gave you rice seasoning as condiments and thought that was a nice touch. Parking is plenty you and you won't have to worry about it, and I'm glad this addition has made its way to the area. I am so bummed this place is so good but sooo far away from Denver. Incredible food with fantastic service. Wisconsin surprises me with yet another spectacular fish restaurant. Quality ingredients. Authentic and innovative with their bowl options and restaurant setup. It made our entire day when we went. The happiness kept coming back throughout the day and even weeks and months later. We still think of our visit there with excitement. The best poke place I have been to ever. Wish they would move out to Denver. Fast casual dinning experience! My colleagues and I were in town for a week and we came here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. That said, I think it's safe to say we are obsessed. Never having been there, the gentleman behind the counter explained all my options and was very helpful. He even suggested sauce on the side and let me have some cilantro lime and garlic ponzu. Wow! What bright flavor. Both were great. The garlic ponzu was my favorite. I had the large 2 protein bowl with ahi and salmon. I had it on mixed greens vs rice. Poke is good and I like that the build your own has a high upper limit! Their fish is yummy and fresh but they don't give you a ton, so they lose out a little bit because there are a lot of poke places in mke that are same price or cheaper but really pile that fish! Some of their sauces or predetermined bowls are a little odd (my friend got curry aioli and I was not a fan.. it was just a weird combination with the fish) and some you can't really call a poke bowl bc it's just a rice bowl with meat and veggies haha. I live in Southern California and travel to Hawaii a lot, this place is one of the most unauthentic poke places I've been too. The prices are too high for the poke bowls and menu is limited. It's too much toppings and not enough fish. It should mainly be rice and fish, not toppings. Please try Pokeworks down the street for good poke. I'm in awe of how this place considers themselves authentic. Although the owner is from Wisconsin, I hope he has traveled to Hawaii and SoCal to see how poke should be served. read more

This is quite possibly the best poké joint in the county of Waukesha. If you aren't a raw fish eater, have no fear, this place also has chicken! Cluck Cluck! They both are Scrumptious with a capital "S"! Something smell fishy? You must be at pokéworks. I must say I prefer freshfin, for a place with a focus around raw fish, there is nothing fishy about it!
