The fish was so fresh and prepared with a crunchy and tasty coating that enhanced the flavor of the fish. It was awesome! The tartar sauce was different but delicious. Someone at my church ordered this for potluck once and ever since then I've been craving it. I finally had a chance to retry it again. Roast pork: delicious, juicy, crispy, flavorful. What more can I ask for? (5/5) Roast duck: good texture but saltyyyy. I'm a salty girl but damn. Maybe they forgot that they put salt and added salt a second time? The flavor was there. This is my first time trying this place even though it's been here for a hot minute!! The menu looks better from the old pictures I seen on here. Definitely an upgrade. This is Vietnamese owned and IMO was a good sign lol.. lemme tell you, they know how to seafood! I usually like the Vietnamese seafood places out of town because you get more than just fried dishes.... The ones in Fresno are usually fried seafood places. Anyway, they looked like they had a lot on their menu. I wanted to order a lot more, but I will come back next time to try their frog legs and their stirfry lobster dish. I also want to try their salt n pepper shrimp. This other place I go to does it really good with the onions and jalapeños.. I assume they do it the same way. I did not know you can buy with EBT. I think u just pay to get it fried? They even sell party trays. They sell other stuff in the store too like snacks, noodles, ingredients, drinks and a frozen seafood section. Service was great the first time and there after. I got tilapia, deep-fried with light cornmeal coating; so good. The fried oysters cornmeal coating is too heavy for me though, I'll mention it. We stopped in for a bite of lunch. The Mr. Has been on a quest to find the best fish n chips in town. The shop was easy to find and was nice and tidy. There is no seating, so its strictly take out. The workers were very nice and approachable. I live life with a service dog and this place gets 4 paws up. No access issues and super kind people. Very lovely place. We both got #5's and it was just over $18. She told us it'd be about 10 mins. No problem, we went next door for some sodas and were waiting in our car when she delivered our order to us!! What service. We live a few blocks away and I gotta say I was very pleased to see that our food hadn't turned into greasy gobs of goo. They line the Styrofoam with paper towel to blot the extra grease. We really liked the fries and the panko battered fish was very nicely cooked. Definitely top 3 in town. My only minor caveat is the tartar sauce was more mayo than anything. Still, very nice experience and would def. Come back again!! read more

That was my first and last visit to Fresno Seafood. The service was great but I had to ran to the restroom after I ate. The other 3 people that ate the same were okay, but not me. Also, the bottom of one of the containers had oil and we tossed a few pieces soaked in oil. Due to the location there were a lot of weird people around the business and I did not feel safe. Great potential but I am not coming back. I am generous with a 3 starts because I received a good service, if they move to a different location and keep an eye on draining the oil better I will visit the place one more time. read more

I went there at 9:30 to get a fish fry and was told they don't start until 10 am. why does website say open ? also their prices continue to go up and up and the food is smaller portions. the first fish sandwich h was good and $8.99. the last was small and 12.99. plus everything is either high priced or aka carte. a little tartar sauce 2.99, coleslaw 3.99 . really ? when telling someone they said they got a lobster roll. got home 15 minutes and the butter ran out in the bag on her car seat. the roll was a hot dog roll filled with lettuce and and a small piece of lobster. donevwith them. plenty of other fish markets around. read more

Unfortunately my third time here was not the charm. The cashier was pleasant and polite, the portions were generous and the wait time was reasonable. Unlike my previous experiences, however, the coating on both the fish and scallops was too dense and thick (1/4" to 1/2"!). This place was special to my mother when she was alive. She ordered the fish filets there each time. Since then, we've been ordering the same dish fo years. Recently, we ordered the fish and the special combo chow mein and come fried rice in cater format. It was amazing as well, and our guest enjoyed it. Had Fish combo (whopping $7.99) had three large pieces of fish and two small ones which were NOT greasy and fries. Underneath were 5 pieces of broccolli. They have roast duck. The name of this business is deceiving. When you hear "Fresno Seafood Company" one might think you can go here to buy fresh seafood and they are the #1 resource in the central valley to do so. Unfortunately that is not the case. Yes they sell fresh seafood, but it is not a huge selection that you might think when you hear "Fresno Seafood Company" You will find a a much better selection over at Island Pacific Supermarket or SF (Shun Fat) Market. I did not compare prices though so who knows, maybe the sell it cheaper here than the aforementioned. Don't get me wrong though I'm not saying the selection is bad, I was just expecting an expansive selection of fresh seafood that beats supermarkets. That is not the case. But what they do have is fresh. I would say call before hand on what they are selling. Another dimension of this place and where they shine is the cooked food. Good ol' fried food. Fish and chips are a great deal here. Freshly battered and fried and super tender fish. Very generous portions for a good value. They have tons of other freshly cooked food items. Not just seafood but also meats. They also have some other packaged stuff for sale. So the identity of this place needs work, but what they are doing right now works. The workers are nice and friendly and easy to talk to and ready to help. But most importantly the food is legit, and sometimes that is all that matters. read more

My brother went in for a 60 pack of oysters and over half of them were open and alive and some were even slimy! No ice in the box and REALLY dirty, and no they didn't close to the touch. We called her and she said she didn't have anymore oysters anddd said the opened ones are fresh and great to eat. When we took the oysters back to get a refund she "coincidentally" happened to find a box of CLOSED oysters. I'm really disappointed that she would try to convince us that all these dead oysters would be ok to for us to eat. I can't imagine how many other customers they give bad seafood too. This place has been open for years and I've always gotten food here and honestly they never really disappoint. My typical order would be a fried tilapia and some salt and pepper shrimp with the head on. Today I ordered some fish and chips, 1 pound of the salt and pepper shrimp and steamed broccoli. Whenever you order the shrimp however it's prepared they'll ask how many pounds which is great for the price. The fish and chips that I got cake with 4 good sized pieces of fish and the fries came in a good portion as well. The shrimp was very crispy, they were sautéed in some onions and jalapeños for that small kick. I definitely plan on ordering more off their menu when the time comes. read more
