First and foremost, the rental protocol does not allow much room for error on sizing. As the groom, my jacket and pants did not fit well, which was a measurement issue as my weight and sizing had not fluctuated. For a saturday wedding, I came in on the wednesday and found the suit to need replacing; Friar Tux said that the replacement would be ready for me Friday from 4pm-7pm, which is the exact time of most wedding rehearsals. Luckily, I had called to escalate and was able to drive directly to the storage front and get my sizing then. Secondly, one of my groomsmen ran into the same issue. Except he was at the mercy of the Friday pick up, which he inevitably could not make due to the rehearsal. So he went in Saturday to pick it up, where yet again his pants did not fit him. Due to this issue, he showed up 15 minutes late for the DAY OF THE WEDDING; missed out on most of the getting ready photos and made it just in time for the ceremony itself. Absolutely unacceptable. Third, the replacements (so I, the groom, and the one groomsmen) did NOT receive the buttons or cuff links which were a part of the ensemble. And so, we had to combine buttons for the best man and I, and have all the other groomsmen opt out of using the added buttons. Absolutely terrible service for a once in a lifetime day. Absolute horrible protocol which leaves no room for error in your employees' measuring. read more

So my 27 yr old son is getting married and I suggested to go to Friar Tux to get his upper half of a Tuxedo that he needs cause i came here 17 yrs ago when i tied the knot for the second time and i had a very pleasant experience. So just like 17 yrs ago Friar Tux hasn't changed at all the two gentlemen that helped us were so very kind and humorous that when we left my son said "wow dad this is a nice place". We went here to get my son fitted for a tux. He is going to a prom. The parking lot is easy to get into and easy to see from the street. We were greeted quickly by a friendly employee. He helped my son find the right tux that would be a good fit. Once they picked the right one, he started to fit my son. They have a large range of sizes to find the right one. My son tried it on and with a little more fitting he got my son fit and we'll go back to pick it up. The store is comfortable and well stocked. read more

This place is the worst and the manager should be fired! I came in for a pin and then realized maybe it was a miscommunication on my end but I came in and the manager here gave me so much attitude and on top of that made a phone call to the guy that originally helped me and told him so many awful things. I over heard her raise her voice over the phone and tell him he needs to get retrained even when he wasn't the employee who told me to head over there. I think this location needs to get rid of her because I've seen more reviews and it seems like she is the problem. I hope I never see her again and that she learns how to handle people with care ! The guys explain everything well and what goes good together etc. I am happy with the concierge customer service! The staff was great on all 3 separate occasions that I went before the wedding! They made sure everything fit perfect! If I needed to change a size they did it without any complaints or faces being made. Cynthia definitely helped a lot on our first time going and mentioned the discount for us. I don't remember the gentleman with the ponytails name but he was definitely the most helpful with trying things on! He let me try different color suits, shoes bow ties and regular ties and got all the things for me without any complaints! They all went above and beyond to make me and my groomsmen's feel welcomed and heard. DO NOT BUY A TUX FROM FRIAR TUX ANAHEIM!! I went to try on a suit back in August for a wedding in November . I got fitted and purchased the same day. I didn't receive anything in the mail until October and it was just a tie . I called and was told the suit would be coming soon and not to worry which is impossible because the tie took two months already. I waited and finally received pants and a shirt , no jacket. I called again and had back and forth conversations. I was finally told they didn't have my suit jacket and my only option was to size up . Nothing could be done because it was the "manufacturers fault" . They never actually had my size because the suit was new. If that's the case why let me purchase a suit and get fitted for a size they never had . Especially two to three months prior . This should have been plenty of time to order my suit with the manufacturer. I sized up because the wedding is so close and had no other choice. I finally received it two weeks later even though I requested a rush . I took it to a tailor and unfortunately it is going to cost more than the actual suit . I've called friar tux and asked for a refund or a credit . I've talked to two sales associates through out the process and I know it's out of their hands . I've asked to speak to the manager multiple times but they are never there . I've left messages for them to call me and they will not return my call. They are extremely unprofessional. We walked in without an appointment Saturday night at about 5:30 ish to get a suit for my dad and brother. Cody was amazing with my father (Who is legally blind and had a hard time with his suit) I really appreciated how patient he was with him and the energy he brought to this fitting. He took really good care of us and made some excellent suggestions when we found out certain items were out of stock. The customer service at this location is absolutely amazing and we definately recommend it to anyone looking for a last minute set of suits! It can get really busy (everyone and their mother is getting married) so be mindful to set aside a good chunk of time. Customer service contacted me after my last review to make things right and give me the opportunity to give them another chance. After renting another suit for a wedding one month after my own, I'm updating the reviews on the Anaheim and Rancho Cucamonga stores - although my only interactions were mainly with the Rancho Cucamonga store. I'm giving a 4/5 rating because my overall review of the company is much better than my first experience and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends to use for their wedding or whatever they need it for. At this point, I think my first experience can be boiled down to just a one off horrible roller-coaster based of some mistakes of newer employees, which probably shouldn't happen in this type of work...but with the current job market and turnover rate...it's understandable. There's not much to say this time around other than that the employees were all super helpful. The only reason it's not a 5-star review is that the dark red tie that I picked apparently only came on as a clip-on, which would be fine...but it was so short it sat above my belly-button. I'm 6'1" so it's not unusual or anything. I told the staff and all they said was that that's the only way it comes, they don't come in other lengths. And (in my head) I was like...umm ok then...guess I'll just use a tie I already have at home? But before I left I asked them if they have any other ties in any other colors that were regular ties since the clip-on would just have looked silly. They said, yes of course and went in the back to get it for me. Not sure why that wasn't the first response, but they were super busy so maybe they didn't realize how necessary it was since I didn't try it on in front of them? Again, I'm giving 4/5 overall as the suit looked great and customer service was far better overall this time. And the suit fit like it was supposed to. If I can give no star I would, but after going to different places and seeing the services those tux shops offer this one proves itself to be very poor when it comes to customer service. There was one guy helping a customer, and two women who saw us but did not even greet nor offer to help us.
